You are familiar with the prophecies, are you not? You do know about Simeon and Anna, do you not? So . . . what are you thinking?

Yes. It is "the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord." God must certainly gave foreknowledge of Christ's coming of which "the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into." This God did to "to reconcile all things unto himself . . . whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." Great is the mystery of godliness . . . God was manifest in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Yes, I do 100% believe that God did give us the foreknowlege of Chrit's coming so that we would know of the Lord's will. From Genisis to Malichi as Christ would be the sacrifice and his blood would bring in the New Testament which is based on better promises. Ephesians 1:4-5--"According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself according to the good pleasure of his will. There were types and shadows of Christ throughout the OT. The Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament. It would have to be 'prior' to the NT in order for it to be 'fore-knowledge". The Jews knew the Messiah would come, even if many didn't realize it was him at the time. Like other Jews, Simeon knew the Christ would come...unlike most other Jews, he knew the Christ would come in his lifetime. "25Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: 29"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. 30For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31which you have prepared in the sight of all people, 32a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel."
