It is said that the Jews are GOD'S Chosen People.

There was a covenant created between YHVH and His People.

The OT has many verses that speak about this covenant.

The NT doesn't have as many verses as the OT.

Acts 3:25 reads,"Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which GOD made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Some Believers of Yeshua state that the Jews can't be Blessed without believing in Yeshua.

What do you say?

If the Jews don't accept Jesus as their Messiah, then they are only Jews by nationality which makes them NOT one of God's people. God will not accept a Jew just because he's a Jew while they reject Him. But we gentiles if we accept Him as Messiah, then we will be grafted into the branches - a sort of substitution. We would be the Elect.

God's chosen people are not 'better' than anyone else - God simply chose to work through them to display His glory. He chose the tiny state of Israel because it was so very small - what glory God has when He raises a mighty army from such a tiny nation!

p.s. I do not adhere to replacement theology.

BPCsaid If the Jews don't accept Jesus as their Messiah, then they are only Jews by nationality which makes them NOT one of God's people.

So then the OT is null and void because the Jews back then didn't have their Messiah and they were only a nation. They were never God's people......hhhmmmmm think about that statement you made.

BPC said God will not accept a Jew just because he's a Jew while they reject Him.

Think again, are they rejecting him or are they just blind?

BPC said But we gentiles if we accept Him as Messiah, then we will be grafted into the branches - a sort of substitution. We would be the Elect.

Who are the branches that we are grafted into? And if we Gentiles boast about our being grafted in what will happen to us? A Substitution of What??????? We are partakers of what is promised to the Jews... Define Elect in you statement above.

BPC said God's chosen people are not 'better' than anyone else

Ok, I am now confused by who you define as God's chosen people? You said

If the Jews don't accept Jesus as their Messiah, then they are only Jews by nationality which makes them NOT one of God's people...and then you saidGod's chosen people are not 'better' than anyone else So who is God's chosen people?????

BPC said God simply chose to work through them to display His glory. He chose the tiny state of Israel because it was so very small - what glory God has when He raises a mighty army from such a tiny nation!

Did God chose a small state? You must read in the OT of what land God gave to Israel and it is still theirs today!!!!!!

p.s. I do not adhere to replacement theology.

Sounds like replacement theology to me

Rom 11:25 For I don't desire, brothers, to have you ignorant of this mystery, so that you won't be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Yisra'el, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,

Rom 11:26 and so all Yisra'el will be saved. Even as it is written, "There will come out of Tziyon the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Ya`akov.

Rom 11:27 This is my covenant to them, when I will take away their sins."

Rom 11:28 Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.

Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

The Jewish people have always had a special place in the heart of G-d...they are the apple of His eye...and His covenant has been with them through thick and through thin. He totally identifies with the Jewish people and although many may have rejected Him He has never rejected His people. It is a sad fact that there will be both Jews and Christians to whom the L-rd will say...depart from Me I never knew you. The Church has certainly not replaced Israel in the Heart and plans of G-d...and it is us Gentiles who have the privilege of knowing the Jewish G-d and are engrafted into the Jewish root and not the other way around.

You act like everything I've said is foreign to you - and if it is, then you've got a lot of reading to do or at least check your interpretation. What I said is not new. I'm not about to debate with you point by point because the Bible is clear and I'm surprised you would dispute everything. Yes the Lord loves the Jews and they are chosen, but if they're blind and reject Jesus the Messiah - guess what? They're not going to heaven Period. Some verses for you to read - and please read them.

Romans

9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

Romans 3:29 - Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also

1 Corinthians 9:20 - And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

The Jews do not get a free ticket to heaven just because they are Jews.

never said they did.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
