I was just wondering what everyone thought of prosperity. Do you have a favorit definition for it? If you have studied what the bible says about prosperity, what have you found? Peace

Oh, he didn't mean help the world's poor that belong to Satan, but those poor that belong to him. I think A lot of people thinking just helping anyone poor is good and I think they miss the mark...but the poor christian is still lacking.

How does one tell the difference between the poor believer and the poor non-believer?

Psalm 73 explains to me what true prosperity means. :whistling:

If I may :rolleyes::thumbsup:

1Truly God is good to Israel,

to those who are pure in heart.

2But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled,

my steps had nearly slipped.

3For I was envious of the arrogant

when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4For they have no pangs until death;

their bodies are fat and sleek.

5They are not in trouble as others are;

they are not stricken like the rest of mankind.

6Therefore pride is their necklace;

violence covers them as a garment.

7Their eyes swell out through fatness;

their hearts overflow with follies.

8They scoff and speak with malice;

loftily they threaten oppression.

9They set their mouths against the heavens,

and their tongue struts through the earth.

10Therefore his people turn back to them,

and find no fault in them.

11And they say,

for me its of the spiritual aspect. i think his plan for each of us is different. all thats really promised in scripture as far as physically is food and clothes.

lately he has been sharing with me that no matter how much money or any thing considered worldly riches you have you are not rich to him. all these things will pass away. however he and the fruit he brings forth will not pass away. when it comes down to matters of the heart we either seek him or seek things that arent him.

Someone ask.... How can you Tell a poor Christain from a poor non-believer? That is where discernment comes into play. But if any one wants to help the financially poor Christain, just go around your city and find a poor church. Now don't give it to the Chruch made by the hands of man, but go inside, say with $50.00 and sit, enjoy the service and let the Holy Spirit guide you to whom you should give your extra or your scarific to. Trust in your heart and in Faith that they are the one.........you'll know!

If no churches around....look within your neighborhood......ask one of your friends, or co-worker.....or just let the Holy Spirit lead you. Pray that who you give your money too, is truly a child of God like yourself and have faith that they are. Pick you a poor zip code, pray, open your phone book and pick a name.....not put your name, cause you want God to thank you, not the person, send it to them with a note that God moved you do to thiss.......They will never forget you and maybe when they have risen up out of their poorness, they will do for another what you have done for them.

Your money will get into the right hand......and they will tell all their friends and family how great God is and what a wonderful work he has done for them. Who knows you just might hear the story yourself and what a wonderful feeling it will be within your own soul. Ever been in the store and talked to a stranger.....a mother with small children.....heard of her trails and how she iss trusting in God to pull her through....give it to her.

Why continue to help the Beggers of this world, when the children of God go lacking. God doesn't have MONEY in heaven but you might have here on earth....and like I said before JESUS proved God works best in the Flesh!

For whom did Christ die?

for me it's having a wife and children who earnestly seek out the ways of God. Before I was saved, I knew true poverty.

I've seen some pretty good posts...thank you and please keep them comeing. I just found these verses which I believe reflects prosperity pretty well

2 Corinthians 5:19 in the AMP "It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor)."

Vs. 21 in the KJV "For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

Peace,

J

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
