It's time to move on.

Russia has 200% more abortions per year than the U.S.

200%.

Twice as many.

So, yes, abortion is an unfortunate blemish on our society. But so is smoking, pornography, and spousal abuse.

So... lets move on. Lets try to tackle something we may actually change.

Obama '08

Yeah, who cares about killing babies and all of that??? Maybe you have moved on, but those of us who care about human life won't. Real Chrisitans will continue to stand against the murder of innocent babies. That is the natural outgrowth of a being a Christian.

Russia sins more than the U.S.

You think that gives us carte blanche to sin as we wish?

That pass is written in blood.

You don't want to use it.

As for Obama 2008, I would love to vote for a man that will speak with anyone to avoid war.

But his support for Roe v. Wade is a brick wall that keeps me from voting for him.

The president appoints Supreme Court justices.

I like that. "Real Christians". Im glad you know me well enough to say that about me. You are an excellent witness to Christ. I wish I was perfect like you.
Well, anyone who can diminish the importance of abortion is going to have a hard time demonstrating that they operate from a Christian world view.

The divorce rate in this country is higher than the abortion rate. The divorce rate among christians is even higher than that. Im not saying we cast aside any thought we previously had about abortion. I'm saying lets broaden the horizon. I see Christains protesting homosexual marriage, abortion, illegal immigration... yet we keep the destruction of the most sacred bond private.
Actually, that is not true. There is tons of material written by Christians online as well in book form. There are all kinds of Christian counseling available as well as marriage workshops and retreats designed to address the issue of saving troughbled marriages, and restoring broken ones. You are either uninformed or just dishonest.

Instead of posting huge signs that says "God Hates Fags" lets use that money and energy and time and invest in our broken homes.
The only group that did that was a small cult from Kansas their leaders has finally passed away. What they did was not supported, endorsed or in any approved of by mainstream Chrsitianity. But then I realize that intellectual honesty isn't your strong suit.

You may be a different "denomination" than I am, or Billy Graham is, but we get lumped together with protesters and demonstrators, Christians who are raised in evangelical churches not much different from you or I who strap bombs to their chests and run into abortion clinics. All in the name of the same God.
The majority of people do not do that. The only people who lump us altogether are radical liberals who have a decidedly antiChristian agenda. Most people are reasonable enough to know the difference between a crazy person and the genuine Christians they live next door to, work with, etc.

I'm not stupid, and I would love it if you all would stop treating me as such, but I do think we need to broaden the scope of protesting. We need to stop being so prejudice against sexual preference, and start making sure our pastors don't cheat on their wives with a prostitue (Ted Haggard). And then sending them to "hetero camp" to "cure them of their gayness". How absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah 'cause stuff like that happens all of the time. The issues with Haggard do not reflect the majority of Christian ministers nor does it reflect the majority of Christianity. It is dishonest of you to suggest otherwise.

Liberals are always crowing about how we should not see a few Islamic terorists as indicative of the majority of Islam, but then let one cult post "God hates fags," suddenly THAT be comes indicative of the rest of us. Visit your perfectionism on that internal inconsistency and then you might have something to say that bears some semblance of credibility.

In no way, shape, or form did I diminish the importance of the abortion issue. I merely stated the truth. In our time, our country, abortion will never be federally outlawed. It was seen as an infringment on our rights as citizens to outlaw it, therefore an abortion ban would be unconstitutional. Wake up.
A ban on abortion is not unconstitutional. Federal protection of murder is what is unconstitutional.

Second, how many churches in how many cities, lead by how many pastors, have spoken out against abortion. And how many times. Millions probably. This year alone. Yet how many protests to you see outside courthouses, urging and encouraging people to not get divorced. I know there are programs, and as a Christian married man, i've been to the retreats. These weak, sugar coated, watered down weekends are full of "ministers" with zero education in any sort of theological program telling you what they think the Bible means in regards to marriage. Then they give a few stories from their own marriages, and how God saved them. All brought to you by Focus on the Family. If this is a serious effort against divorce, i am ashamed to be associated with this.
I see. And your limited scope of experience is an accurate barometer of everything be done? Please...

Third, you claim that the only people who lump us together with "crazy Christians" are radical liberals with an Anti-Christian agenda. Honestly? Were you born under a rock? Because regular people, the people next door, republicans, independants, athiests, other Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, Islamics, Jews, New Agers... pretty much figure a Christian to be a Christian. I dont go around telling everyone to watch out for anyone associated with Islam, however, if asked I would absolutely say that the Islamic religion is not a peaceful religion. In the same way, every day people, not just "antichrist liberals" have viewed our religion as an intolerant one. A religion built on guilt and shame and judgement. Step outside yourself for a second and see things like the interview with Chris Livingston, homosexual and leader of a California chapter of GLBT, and the first thing he said when asked where he feels the majority of the prejudice comes from: Christians. Its not a secret. Livingston isn't an antichristian liberal. Christianity gets a bad wrap from crazy people, and your brand of intolerance and injustice does nothing to help.
The claim of intolerance is used by liberals to cast any opposition to the homosexual lifestyle as position of hate. It is for the most part an intellectually dishonest position. I have worked around openly gay people in places where the owners and many of the supervisors are Christians. They were never disciriminated against. They were never shunned in the lunch room or denied raises or health benefits. Most of the "intolerance" rants gay community and their "amen" corner in the liberal world are for the most part unjustified, and are reaction to refusal to accept homosexuality as acceptable.

In that sense we are intolerant. The problem is that "intolerant" is not a bad word. I would be intolerant of my wife seeing other men on the side. I would be intolerant of my children being disrespectful of me and calling me dirty names.

What the liberal and gay communities call "intolerance" is really the act of having a standard by which one lives and believes with any degree of consistency. It means I will live what I believe. I don't have to accept your definition of morality any more than you have to accept mine. I have to tolerate your right to see things differently, but it is intolerant or hate-based to say I think you wrong and to conduct my own life accordingly.

The fact remains that most Christians as rule do not go out and persecute gays. We are not out picketing their nightclubs. We are not trying to get them fired from their jobs nor seeking to deny them any basic civil or human rights afforded to any other citizien of this country. So the whole intolerance rant is just baseless.

You say its dishonest for me to suggest that pastors don't cheat on their wives?
No, I said it was dishonest to assume that Haggard is a reflection on the overwhelming majority of Christian ministers.

So to regular average joes, these 9 pastors (there are several more famous ones) do reflect Christianity, because they put themselves out there in the mainstream media, denouncing homosexuality and turning out to be gay (Haggard), stealing millions of dollars from innocent and naive christians (Bakker).
Actually, no they don't. I am sure you wish they did, but they don't. You are hardly in a position to speak for what rest of think.

To America, these men are Christianity.
And you know this because....?

But even our beloved McCain sat on the Ellen show, and looked into her eyes with all the compassion of a butcher and said "I don't believe homosexuals deserve the same rights to marry as heterosexuals".
Actually there are some rights they should not have, such adopting children. While they should be denied human rights and basic civil rights, adoption and even marriage are not included in that list. Homosexuality is an abberrant and sinful lifestyle, and we as a society would be morally wrong to allow such peole to raise children.

But he showed her the exact same compassion and tolerance as did the cult from Kansas. But i know rational thought and common sense arent your strong suit.
pffft. what a pile of garbage. He did not express hate. He is simply correct.

By the way, if you are an example of a Real Christian, with a Real Christian Worldview, then I praise God almighty that i'm not.
I am simply a Christian who believes the Bible. Unlike liberals, I don't treat the Christian faith a like smorgasboard from which I can pick and choose according to personal taste.

Homosexuals dont deserve to adopt children??? That is the most outrageous thing i've heard from you yet.
No, they don't deserve to adopt children. Nor, should they be allowed to marry. Marriage as defined in the Bible is only between a man and a woman. God does not sanction any other arrangemetvn. A true Christian would recognize that.

I hope your kids turn out to be gay.
If they do, I will still love them, but they will know where I stand on their choice of lifestyle. They will have to give an account to God for themselves when they stand before His throne. All I can do is show them the truth and what God says about their behavior. That is all God holds me accountable for. They will have to answer to Him as to why they chose to reject the truth.

If they do reject it, a perfect answer would be you.

No, if they reject the truth, the reason is the hardness of their hearts.

How do you think they harden, chief.....

The same way we all do. Human nature is at enmity with God. We are born that way. Some people choose continued separation from God.

Everyone is responsible for the truth. Just because we don't like someone who holds to it, is not an excuse to reject it.

We are each responsible for believing the truth of Scripture and we are not going to be able to blame anyone else for our rejection of it.

If someone is offended because I reject certain "rights" for homosexuals, that does not justify their rejection of the Bible or the Christian faith. They alone will be accountable to God for that. We cannot compromise truth. Truth by nature is absolute and intolerant. For some, truth is blatantly offensive, as are those who hold to it. Truth cannot be mixed or compromised and still remain truth.

The truth is Homosexuality is called an abomination by God. He hates it, and so should we. We don't hate he people caught up in this sin, but we hate the sin they commit. Homosexuality is not good for any society. I don't have to accept it, like it, approve of it, and I will continue to pray for the deliverance for the poor people who bound up in that prison.

Homosexuals should not be mistreated, bashed or discriminated against, but neither should they given special rights or treated as a minority on the basis of their sexual orientation/preference. To do so is patently absurd.

Right if people who are sexually attracted to those of the same sex get special treatment so should the bondage S/m group or the foot fetish group, or the bestiality group, and on and on with all of the other multiple sexual perversions people are addicted too. It is insane, homosexuality is an action, it is a sexual desire, it is not a person or a race or an ethnicity, it is a disorder.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
