For by grace you are saved, through faith

Letter of Ephesus is powerful request to ask, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to us a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him. And that the eyes of our mind having been enlightened, for us to know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength, which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead.

Believers are saved from the grace and this is not of ourselves;because it is the gift of God. We are not saved through our works, that not anyone should boast. Faith is the work of God, for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them. This means that God influence us will and work through the Holy Spirit and word of God. This is great grace of God, that we will get faith from the God through the Holy Spirit, so that we can walk in this world accordance with word of God.

Now...knowing this that we are saved by grace through faith - then wouldn't you agree that the Lord draws us like Scripture says? also that God chose us before the world began? We can do nothing on our own - all is the work of the Lord? Yes?

Then how do you feel about people saying the sinners prayer? How about altar calls? Don't you think that God or the Holy Spirit has to draw you BEFORE you come to accept Jesus be it an altar call or whatever? I don't believe we can achieve salvation by a DECISION that we ourselves make soley - I believe it must be God drawing us beforehand. Because in the natural, in our flesh, we will never come to Him. We cannot come to Him on our own. The Lord must draw us first.

Yes he has to draw us and then it is Rom 10:9-10 we "belive in our hearts" and "confess with our mouths"
