I see much arguing on here and in the Real World between supposed Siblings in Christ and it grieves my heart - to witness~

I belive that we can disagree, but to tear one another down or show dishonor is not pleaseing to our Father~

I have viewed way more arguing here than I would like to see and it is quite sad, the amount of tearing down and name calling that goes on in this site~

That's a drawback of a message board - it is too easy to see a post as an opinion rather than a person. It is too easy to react with our gut opinions to another opinion rather than to extend grace.

I have not only been part of this, but have seen it happen also. As Neb mentioned, this board is open to the whole world and as many people that come here, there are as many different personalities. I think it would not happen so much if those who are posting the harsh words stepped back and read their words in the eyes of those who will be reading them, not from the stance that they are trying to make. This is a skill that has to be learned, and a great skill it is.

When we become defensive in a subject, we are quick to reply. That is the flesh in us taking control of our actions. The only actions that we can take against our flesh is to not post until we know we can do so in a manner worthy of the Lord.
