I'm curious about how it all works. My Husband and I are going, but I'm feeling uneasy about leaving our 4 month old Daughter overnight with my mom. Just trying to figure out if it's feasible to take her with us, or if she's better off at home. Is there places to sit? Is it hugely loud? I'm just not sure what to do. I desperately want to go with my husband to DC, but I'm torn about leaving our baby.

Hey -

The Call is an outdoor event. You will be on the grounds of the DC Mall.

For sitting, you need to bring your own seat - whether it be picnic blanket or fold-up chair (those are usually the best things to bring).

Loudness is variable. If you are sensitive to sound, all you need to do is pick a place farther from the speakers, which are scattered throughout. It's very easy to move and plant yourself farther away from the speakers if things are too loud.

So taking the baby would depend on how well you think she would handle being outside in a crowd of people all day, and how comfortable you would be taking her to such an event.

Granted, if crowds are a problem, you can always hang out by the fringes - either back or to the sides.

For bathrooms, they have portable latrines set up at various places. I don't think there are changing tables, though. Now, you could go into one of the Smithsonian museums, but you have to go through a security check each time you go in.

Hope that helps.

I don't know if there's anyone from my particular church congregation that's going to attend the "big meeting" in DC.

What we're planning on doing is to have our own time of fasting and prayer this coming Saturday morning at our own facilities.

Meeting in DC is great, but if you can't make it there, you can still pray where ever you are. Maybe with some of your brothers and sisters in Christ where you happen to live....Maybe with just you and your family.....Or maybe just you alone with God.

The important thing is that we all need to be much in prayer for the many and various situations that we are facing in this day and time.

And not only that, but I definitely believe we as God's people everywhere need to follow the formula prescribed in !! Chronicles 7:14 (humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face & turn from our wicked ways) if we expect God to intervene on behalf of our country.

(And I'm not just talking about the United States either! I think that the II Chronicles 7:14 formula can apply to any country in which God's people are found!!)

About an hour or so ago about a dozen of God's children gathered together to meet on my local church's property with our Heavenly Father in prayer for future of our country and its leaders.

Although it may not have been the largest meeting to gather at that time, I honestly believe that, through Christ Jesus our Lord and the Holy Spirit, we too had the wonderful privilege of touching the Throne of Grace.

I thank God for the many that met in Washington DC to do in much greater numbers what we also were doing! I also thank God for others of His children who may have met in other places to likewise commune with Him and intercede for this nation's future!

To any of you who may have participated in whatever form and wherever you may have met, may God be pleased to honor the prayers and petitions that were offered in behalf of America by His children!

I've been watching/listening to The Call on GodTV on-line all day.

Awesome - it truly has been a day of fasting, prayer, intercession, worship. Any preaching and teaching has been to lead into prayer and intercession.

Few people have been introduced - for instance, there's been a steady stream of worship leaders throughout the day, one being Michael W. Smith, and in each case they just step up and start worshiping...if I hadn't recognized his voice I would not have known who it was! The only ones introduced were key figures for prayer (i.e. a Native American, the woman who was "Jane Roe" in Roe v. Wade).

Intercessions were brought for the Youth, for Israel, for the Native Americans, for the African Americans, against abortion (a long, long time was spent on this - prophecies, prayers, calls for ways to get involved - i.e. http://www.bound4life.com - a time of silent prayer with "LIFE" tape over their mouths, etc.), against homosexuality, interceding for California, right now they an Hispanic worship leader is leading worship.

One thing they have been encouraging continually is for the people there to not stop praying and interceding - fast for 40 days for this nation, fast Friday lunch, fast TV and other entertainment, be the generation that seeks God's face as their number one passion.

It's great!

Amen! I have been watching Lou Engle a lot lately on God.tv. He is an amazing man, a prophet of god! His faith buoys my own! I am not american, but I am praying about this event today! I know that God is doing something great in the hearts of His own and is about to do an amazing thing in the hearts of the wicked.

Intercession is an integral part of our walk with Christ in these days.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
