It hasnt been created & properly alligned, look at all the faults of the earth, the slipped disks under the surface that causes earth quakes, the volcanoes, the deformed creatures that crawl this earth... nothing has been done properly.

Ever notice how God created the earth to renew itself? All of these fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, rains, floods,etc..

they all bring about new life and wash away the old.

Nature simply paralells God's Plan of Salvation.

Jesus is our Spiritual "natural disaster", sent to wash away our old life in sin and bring forth our new life in Him.

I contend that he created every little "defect" to create new life.

Can you imagine what the natural world would be like if nothing died and gave way to new?

Pray for the understanding of His ways, friend.

What concentration of salt did you use? What is the flux of water in and out of the tank? You should write a report on it, although I would imagine you didn't bother writing down the values you used, or even measuring them...?

Seawater runs at about 35 grams per litre, which means that a few tablespoons won't be enough. There is likely to be 80 or more litres in your tank, that's going to be 3kg or more of salt to make it seawater concentration. Ordinary table salt will do just fine, as long as there is no water added, and the water is not purified of salt in the mean time.

Check the volume of your tank (it should be in the instructions or on the box). Take the volume, multiply it by 35, and that's how many grams of salt you need to make it saline. Assuming the flood waters were fresh, and would thus dilute the salt content, I'd be happy to half this value (to cover the highest mountain) - although it's likely much much more salt would have entered the water from volcanism caused by the continents seperating, which is what creationists believe happened (although this would also introduce toxins, and I take it you don't keep them in your house).

I pity your fish.

Allo, havent posted in here for a while, but I just thought of this. I was reading about these experiments that were done on fruit flies to try to get them to evolve, drososomething or other, you prolly know what Im talkin 'bout SA. Anyway, while I was reading a though occorred to me. Can any of you evolutionists name an instance of something fundamentally new evoling in a species? Not like size, color change and relatively superficial things like that, but a new organ or something?

eurrghghg, drosophila, I hate em. The first time I came across them was in biology class, learning about mendelian genetics by breeding them and seeing how many got real and how many got vestigial wings, and then working backwards to infer how many dominant and recessive genes were in the original breeding pair. Only problem being, they tending to escape a lot.

They've been at my house recently too - in some fruit that went bad when I left it out for a couple of days - usually it's not that hot around here, but there was a heat wave while I was away, and I came home to find a swarm of drosophila all over my fruit basket :t2:

I'm afraid I don't know of any experiment to try to "get" them to evolve, no, sorry!

As for your specific question, it rather depends what you mean by "name an instance". Yes, evolutionists can "name" many instances of things evolving - the real question is, can they site an example they've seen themselves? Of course, the answer is "no", we've only been looking for 150 or so years - which even in fruitfly that's only gonna be a few thousand generations. That's not to say we've seen nothing new evolve - bacteria evolve at a huge rate, and we do see new diseases, and new strains of diseases all the time - often reacting to either natural or manufactured immunity. Furthermore, we can state examples of speciation happening in present day, called "ring species", so we know that speciation can happen.

But actually, how would you define "new". After all, if humans grew a third arm - the thirdness would be new, but the arm shape wouldn't be. Or if we grew a whole new appendage, the shape of the appendage would be new, but the underlying bone type and structure, blood vessels, skin type etc wouldn't be - the "new" appendage would just be a novel way of using old materials. So how "new" would you like such an example to be?

Let me give you an example - whales have developed a blowhole from a nose. It evolved further and further up the cranium, until it reached the top. It's now a blowhole - but it's an analog to a nose. Is this new? Or, staying on whales, they lost their hindlimbs, and adapted their forelimbs to swimming, in other words they turned the underlying bone structure of their front legs into paddles - is that new? Humans have evolved bi-pedalism by changing the structure of the skull, the upper vertebrae, the pelvis and legs. Is this "new"? The reason I've given these examples is that they appear in the fossil record, and also they might help me guage just how "new" something has to be before you'll be satisfied with its newness.

By new I was thinking something fundamentally new. Such as an organ which provided some previosly non-existant function.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
