Having been exposed to porn at an early age (11-12 maybe, porn photos were circulated at our elementary school, and this in the 1960s), I can testify to the way that porn can grab ya. Think of it as being like getting bitten by a snake. (Satan IS a snake, so the reference is obvious) The sooner you get treatment for the snakebite, the less the effect will be. I am 53 now.

One thing that helps me is to remember David's prayer:

Psa 141:4 Don't let me lust for evil things; don't let me participate in acts of wickedness. Don't let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.

There is another place in Scripture which I can't recall the word order to, but it says: I will place no base thing before my eyes (or something to that effect)

I have also found that porn movies and such come from:

1. The Church of Satan

2. other lesser known cults

3. The mob (Russian, Japanese, La Cosa Nostra)

They pump this filth into our country. I don't want to be associated with these groups/people. When we look at that crap, we fill their pockets with money, directly or indirectly. We also give them an inroad into our computer through 'cookies' and viruses.

Think of it like this. (This is a very down to earth way to think of it, so be forewarned) You're walking through a field of freshly mown grass. You can see very clearly that some animal or other has been there before you and left 'calling cards' if you will, and they are EVERYWHERE. Would you deliberately go step in that stuff? Of course not. Well PORN IS POO! It will stick to your shoes so to speak. Don't step in it. You can tell what it is. It's pretty obvious what it is. Would you go out into a field to deliberately step in manure? Of course not. You have better sense than that. You do everything you know how to do NOT to step in manure. It's not normal to WANT to step in that stuff. If you WANT to step in it, something is way out of whack.

Feeling bad is a good healthy thing here. You should feel defiled. (Not guilty, defiled) Like you were wearing a brand new pair of very expensive shoes while you were out in that field. Now go clean your shoes and watch where you step.

Alright I dunno what happened today but for some reason I just looked up a quick porn video.

After I feel terrible immediately. I'd always vowed I would never disgrace myself or God this way and now I did. Plus honestly I felt just disgusted looking at it.

Anyways, how can I ask for forgiveness and really feel forgiven, cause I don't.

And most importantly how can I ensure that this does NOT turn into an addiction and never happens again? I know, MANY MANY Christian men have fallen pray to this and want to ensure that I don't.

Thoughts? Honestly I don't feel addicted, because I was frankly so disgusted but then again that's right now.

your feeling's say alot ,,, i can see ppl getting addicted on things (am a ex addict myself,,, heroin - meth - booze) im pretty hard line on things of that nature

like some ppl smoked pot once or twice then stopped

the reason i drink is im addicted ,,, naw man the reason you drink is that you are a self centerd person not caring about any one or anything and instead of telling the truth about yerself you justifie it as a sickness so you can keep doing it and get ppl's sympathy at the same time ,,, you dont want to quit ,,, why not admit it ,,, at least then you wouldnt be a liar ,,, only a loser
