Must be nice to be perfect. You have proven him right about how he would be treated. I am a white male Southern Baptist preacher. I was lead to the LOARD buy a black homosexual servant of GOD. Not an unrepentant sinner who is a disgrace to the name JESUS, a sinner struggling for freedom from his sins. I am going to say this bluntly, it sickens me that Christians, once again, choose to shoot their wounded. JESUS will still love him and except him into his arms with love and joy that he trusted HIM for his salvation. I know that I just ruffled some feathers and that some may take this as an opening for another heated arguement. OOPs, o well. As for me, the next special i sing in church will be "the Anchor Holds" I am not going to TURN on anyone. I choose to allow my mind and home to be filled with music that is brought out of people whose lives speak of Jesus Christ. When I know that someone who produces music unto the Lord is living a life of hypocrisy, I remove that from me. It is not anointed. Mu breaking my CD's doesn't hurt Ray Boltz. I will pray for him today now that I am apprised of his lifestyle. My refusing to listen to music that has no anointing for me is a choice I make. He wrote some of the most annointed music I have ever heard and that will not change. His faith is still in JESUS and that is ALL that matters. The rest is between hi and JESUS. Indeed they teach that 'Gay is good.' This is not a wounded brother crying out for help; a ''sinner STRUGGLING FOR FREEDOM FROM HIS SINS' as you put it. It is one deceived of satan who WANTS TO LIVE IN HIS SIN, and expects us to proclaim that his sin is good. This IS 'an unrepentent sinner who is a disgrace to the name Jesus........' "Our wounded,' my eye! This is a Christ rejecter who has chosen to drag Jesus Christ's Name into the depths of his chosen depravity and put the saving blood to an open, public disgrace! Indeed that is a big difference, Leonard! And isnt it unfortunate that a man has to go to that kind of church to find love and compassion in his struggles. WOW is that some hatefull words. What what JESUS are you glorifying? Christians are authorized to judge for sin, otherwise how could we determine who is of God or not? The brethren need to know each other. We are to look for fruit. Someone who falls away from the truth needs correction---how would we know if we didn't see their choices? Or see rotten fruit? If your 18 year old daughter decided to move in with her boyfriend, would you want her surrounded by Christians who embraced her decision and supported her choice of living - out of wedlock? Or would you want her surrounded by Christians who showed her discipline? Remember what Paul said in Corinthians about a brother living in sin? He was to be cut off from fellowship until he repented. These are the only people humbled by their weakness enough to fully grasp the joy of their salvation and the power of JESUS to save. I have stood in such close proxiity to the holiness of GOD that I could smell the sternch of my own righteousness, and the righteousness that is filthy rags, which is the self righteousness of those who would dare to stand in judgement of one of GOD's children. When Sandi Patty held a press conference to publically anounce her indiscretions, and when Amy Grant had her public fling and divorce and re-marriage, it made me angry. Since then, I have matured in my walk. Since then I have had a glimpse into the heart of GOD and how HE sees us. Since then i have learned that is does not matter what thorn is left in a persons flesh to keep them humble. I have mellowed a great deal, since then. Most of the times, I just feel regret when sin has such a stronghold in someones life. Still, there is one thing that really gets my Ire up, LORD help me, and that is; When self righteous, white washed tombs full of dead mans bones point their bony, putrid, bloodstained fingers at someone else to judge and condemn them because they would dare to come forward and proclaim that they have been struggling with sin for years. Ray Boltz has leaad more people to the LORD, has girded up the foundations of more Christians, has served the cause fo JESUS in such a way that when it comes time to stand in front of JESUS on the day of judgement that he will be so close to the throne that most of us will not even be able to see that far. And the only way i will ever get to be in eyesight of him is if I can just keep from being a self-righteous, finger pointing pharasee. Fortunately, thank GOD, we don't have anybody like that here. The point is a Christian knows it is wrong and is led to repent of it. This "church" teaches that homosexuality is right, loving, and normal. They put articles on their site in which people have the nerve to say that David and Jonathon were gay, Lydia was lesbian, the man with a sick servant was gay, and even Jesus was gay! That last is WAY over the top. This church is no more Christian than my unsaved neighbor,and they, with their wishy-washy view of the Bible's authority, are teaching against it's clear Word. And I agree that it is a shame. But I have seen how regular churches treat sin and sinner and i can not blame him for trying to find someone who will not stand in condemnation of hi for his weakness. GOD knows that we Christians have put up battle flags against homosexuals in such a way that we are a stumbling block between them and the JESUS they need. Salvation is still by grace, through faith alone, and this is not of us, it is a gift from GOD. And you are all talking like this is something that happened overnight, this man likely struggled and cried and sweat, and has lived with the guilot and self loathing for decades. And when he just gives it to the LORD and goes somewhere he can feel welcome, which clearly wouldn't be here, he gets slammed by people who think they have a right to do so. Sorry, I am not going to join in on kicking one of my brothers while he is down. Apparently, you folk have no idea what he has gone through and you choose this course of reasoning out of your belief that you are somehow beeter than he is. Good luck with that.
