I can tell what I think is a Christian by the way they drive...LOL

Christians yield and brake and let you in a lane...etc.

Oh, heavens! This is what I tell my husband all the time...and it's also why I had him remove the "Jesus" bumper sticker off the car.

I was so embarassed by his episodes of road rage, (every time he drives!) I wanted to hide in the seat. :t2:

I'm afraid that there are "infant" believers still on milk and behaving like babes...it's the hardest part of marrying a new believer. :t2:

I dont know if this makes sense but i can sense when a person has demonic influence happening .....its like an uneasy feeling and that is when you just start praying until it leaves ...........

Yes, it makes sense, and I believe it's called discernment. Some people seem to have more of it than others.

I think you can tell by what they not what they say...you are all right there. Sometimes I would get looked at strangely because I didn't talk the talk....but...

I'm not real good with words in face to face situations....I always worried about not being able to witness with my mouth to people...but now I think I am a better witness with my actions than my words. I think God understands this and doesn't hold it against me.

I get uneasy feelings around some people too. Sometimes I almost get terrified of something about them. This has only happened a couple of times...but its real and think calamity is right its discernment.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

I think sometimes you can't tell the difference at all!!! The parable of the wheat and the tares illustrates this perfectly. In that parable we are asked not to try to root out the tares but to let them grow up together side by side and let God sort them out at the judgement.

We should definitely try to be discerning between good and evil, but we might be wrong sometimes.

True Christians might not look like your idea of a Christian sometimes. For example if someone came to your church Sunday in a camel hair suit with long dredlocks, dirty from sleeping in the wilderness, you would probably freak, but he may just be one of the sons of God.

You can also recognize whether someone is truly a Christian or not, if they have love in their hearts and show love for God's people and others.

There are plenty of non-believers that have a lot of love in their hearts. Be very careful using this for a criteria.

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Somewhat along the lines Sam suggested here -

1 John 4:1-2

1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God

Yep, seems like a pretty good way to me too

In His service,

Bob

Me, three!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly!!!! Fruits, fruits, fruits!!! No, YA'LL ain't fruits...the fruits of the SPIRIT!!! LOL!!! Heehee!!! That coulda been a bad way to be received!!! :oww:

Anyways, seriously, yes...test the spirits and also the fruits of the Spirit CANNOT exist in a follower of the enemy! Light can't live with dark!!!

Praise BE to Jesus! Thank You, Lord God, for Your Word and Your Instruction Book for us...YOUR WORD!!!

Love to all through our Jesus!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
