Alot of those native cultures are steeped heavily in the occult and voodoo I would stay far away from any of it.I THINK SOME of the things our teens are into today in America is childs play compared to that satanic stuff. I have seen and heard way too much about that native stuff, I wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole.

Voodoo...totally occultic..

Don't be too fooled with the antics of Western teenagers today and what they dabble in..it may look innocent enough drugs, porn etc...all are in the clutches of satan - just doesn't have the "dark" hue about it.

Copy cat suicides are on the increase at the moment in Australia, as well as the subject of death and the other side..that other side being the dark side where satan operates from.

That's awesome, Manie! :)

~~

Well, my take on these items.

First rule: If the item has the image or symbol of a god - chuck it.

Second rule: If a "prayer" has been prayed over it, you don't want it - trust me.

Third rule: I don't know about fairies, but if they call these fairies "angels" - chuck it!

ok know i will hear about this from a certain someone but..... it is exactly because of a shop like the one you are describing that i met and was drawn into wicca. at first it was all nicey nice ooh we love everyone save the earth and the like. then came the enlarging of the coven which was led by two male witches (no they arent called warlocks) who were very good at twisting things which should have scared me into looking like something quite unassuming. i was consumed by wicca and the coven-we went to salem for the samhain celebrations (halloween), met the "highest ranked" wiccans in the usa and the like. the whole time i sank deeper and deeper into the darkness of a depression so deep that i coudnt think of anything but the rituals and writing in the spell book, reading books on wicca, collecting tarot decks, crystals, etc. then the coven bought a compound in new hampshire, i couldnt go with them because i wasnt very wealthy, so i stayed behind. in a matter of months 3 i believe, the entire coven had spiraled into the blackest darkness-they ended up shooting all of the pets they took with them because (as one coven member who did come back unharmed told me later) they actually thought the pets would attract good energy and they didnt want that energy right then. they were working with dark forces at that point they said.

this took over 13 years to come to an end. it wasnt what they had originally started out like-at first they were nice earthy folk. at the end of it you could see the blackness in their eyes

LUCKY FOR ME I TURNED AROUND AND RAN RIGHT BACK INTO THE WAITING AND LOVING ARMS OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST

I HAVE BEEN HEALED OF ALL MY DEPRESSION SYMPTOMS SINCE THEN

PRAISE GOD I AM BOUGHT AND CLEANSED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

AND THANK GOD FOR MOTHER ANGELICA

:rolleyes::whistling::whistling:

You are Blessed.. I also slipped into the Occultic for a period of time. Nothing to do with Wiccans but psychics and astrology things like that. I was obsessed and couldn't go to work without looking at my horoscope for the day and I would read it multiple times during the day at times. Terrible times those were.

Well I will tell you there is no power in Buddaism other than concentration and quietness. You get yourself into a trance like state of psuedo peace. But that leaves the doors of your heart and mind open to whatever demons may be lurking about.

See that's the difference with meditation 'Christian style'..

When we meditate - on His Word...We FILL our minds - with Scripture or whatever the case maybe for that person..there is no emptying....

It's the opposite...we fill with His Spirit- no room for darkness...they empty only to allow evil in...

Okay here is my youthful dabble into the Occult story.

When i was young; say like 7-10, my mother and I lived on Long Island. She got heavily into Buddism (spelling?). All of the hippies at that time were getting into it, it seems. I don't remeber a whole lot about it but we used to go to this temple and chant and chant and chant! It would be like the same Chant for hours if I remember correctly. At the time I felt nothing of the evil that lurked there but only peace and happiness; and that I think partly from spending time with my mother. See my Mother at that time was heavily into the "Hippie" lifestyle which was mainly consistent of drugs and sex- so I thought my mom was doing something positive and helpful by going to this temple.

But the point is that we are drawn in by the "False" light , if you will. It is important to remember that Lucifer was "The Shining One". Sin IS alluring and desirible to the flesh for a season- otherwise nobody would do it.

Well I will tell you there is no power in Buddaism other than concentration and quietness. You get yourself into a trance like state of psuedo peace. But that leaves the doors of your heart and mind open to whatever demons may be lurking about.

Then when I was 14 I was into Pro Wrestling; as are many boys that age. One of the wrestlers- Kevin Sullivan- had turned from a good guy to THE DARK SIDE! DANT, DANT, DUM!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was SOOOOO COOL! He put black circles under his eyes and wore black monk robes and would chant about demons and he even shaved a big "X" into his burly chest hair! I mean, what is not cool about that to a 14 year old boy???? LOL! Maybe I was influenced by the Buddaism experiences of my younger days or maybe I was just WEIRD...the jury is still out on that one! LOL!

So of course my friends and i mimicked this blatently satanic behavior. We even used to go to the bookstores at the mall and read "The Satanic Bible" for chants and incantations and such...we were just boys and thought it was cool. We didn't really know of the life and death danger we were dealing with.

Oh...that whole short phase of my life passed away and I found other interests like GIRLS!!!

Did I think I had been adversely influenced by such juvenile pursuits? NO. But of course I had been.

did you know that even looking at something like a pornographic picture in a Playboy magazine just once, influences you. Speaking from experience, that is something that STRONGLY INTERESTS A 14 YEAR OLD BOY! The second you see that image, as appealing and desirible as it seems, IT BURNS A SPOT ON YOUR SOUL! YOU ARE SCARRED FOR LIFE and who knows other than the Lord the effects of such an exposure on ones life over time. Actually, since Christ opened my eyes, I know. It leads to death.

That is the problem with partaking of the fruit of "The Knowledge of Good and Evil"- it KILLS you.

Left to out own devices we would all be as the beasts--brutish and surly and all about satisfying the flesh. But we are not left alone. We have guidance and direction to the path of Life and Liberty.

That path is Jesus-THE CHRIST OF GOD.

Up untill recently (like 4 months ago) she went to a Non denominational new age church. I actually attended one of their "Services" with her. You talk about freaky and scary! I have never seen so many demons with smiles on their faces as at that place. they take stuff from all religions and sort of mash it together and then sing kumbaya! It was a totally bizarre experience.

But finally some of the stuff my wife and i have been telling Mom is seeping in, I think. We got her to start reading some Joyce Myers books and my Mom is relating to them. So I just keep praying and not pressing her too hard.

Oh yeah - that sounds scary....BIG time!

It's hard to get through the fog when your mind is filled with things like that..and years of it too..it's hard for one to discern the truth - in their own strength..

I pray that the seeds of His True love spring forth soon and that your Mum is open to hearing Truth....

Well in my Mothers case, she has a really hard time looking up to and having a right view of Jesus due to factors in her life. The main ones being that her father died when she was 10 and when my grandmother remarried she never got on well with her new step dad. The main reason that I think is the fear of loving God that my mother has is due to going to Catholic School for years . She said that the nuns were mean and that the men of the church were very cold and stand offish.

So any way...that is that.

Sad....very sad...

Jesus is polar opposite to that...

DS..you show her... (and I'm sure you do!)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
