No question in my mind that this is not about a piece of land or the right to build a sovreign(sp) state. The world loves an underdog and these Hamas/Palestienians have created a situation making them look like the oppressed, and the world is buying it. The alleged 'Palestinians' should be summarily expelled from Gaza.....and turned over to one, or all, of the bleeding heart countries that are wringing their hands in sympathy for murderers. Another thing I would love to see hamas leaders come out of hiding and take up their arms with their people since they insist becoming a martyr is so special. When will the people in gaza wake up and see their leaders don't care a hoot about them and see them for what they are, cowards hiding somewhere within the confines of innocent people. I pray for peace in Israel and for all the innocents who have died and the others who are in harms way. Yet I cannot help but wish Israel would take out hamas for good with whatever means necessary. The media does its best to make this look like a war between the Pallies and Israel. The truth is, this is just part of a greater war that has been going on for 60 years, a war of annihilation waged by the entire Arab world against Israel. The media tries to make Israel look like the bully of the Middleeast, but the truth is that Israel is one Jewish state surrounded by 22 Arab states and 550,000 maniacal enemiels all dedicated to Israel's complete and utter destruction the annihilation of every Jew on earth, and they are not bashful about saying so. What the media does is hide the greater context of the war and focus on only one aspect of it (Israeli/Palestinian Conflict) as if that is the whole of the war. It makes Israel look like the goliath attacking David. It is all about context. This image disappears when people are able to see on a map who Israel's enemies are where they are in relation to Israel and what Israel is really up against. We just got back from the southern Caribbean islands, and the papers there were highlighting Israel as a bad oppressor of the Palestinians, and initiating an unprovoked attack on them.
