When does it stop? How far are we going to let this government go before we rein them in? I've had enough of this, don't know about y'all, but I'm not going to take it anymore. Not when my friends are being laid off around the country and my own son had to switch careers because he was coming up on a downsizing. Even the oil industry is slowing; who would have thought that was possible just three months ago?

I know. There's so much going on with the government that's bizarre that I can't even read because I'll get too upset. I've been ready to leave this country and move elsewhere for a long time. I know people will say that there's not a country any better than the U.S., but I gauge the country on how aggressive their abortion policies are. I'm just fet up with paying taxes and getting so upset over their agenda. Really, what else is there to do?

is america truly the best country in the world? i've never lived anywhere else, so i can't say one way or another. what i do know is that this is NOT the same america that our parents and grandparents grew up in... and that's really not a good thing.

i'm opposed to the illegal immigration problem america is facing. at least the ones being granted work visas are not illegal... but it is pretty irresponsible of our government to be creating more lines at the unemployment office!

It's not just irresponsible...it's criminal. I don't know about the rest of you but I've had enough of the shady, dishonest, lying, puffed up cretins that currently inhabit Congress and the rest of the bureaucracy as well. We can't just say we're tired of them; if we want the country we should have....we need to get the ball rolling and put unbearable pressure on them. Demand investigations of your own Senators and Representatives. Inundate people like Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Shawn Hannity and Rush Limbaugh with e-mails and letters yelling for investigations. Contact the President, Attorney General, state legislators and so on. This can be done pretty easily in the age of the internet. Those who do nothing for themselves get whatever someone else wants to give them.

I'm speechless. This is just like the government paying for abortions so they can justify even more immigration and/or amnesty for those that are already here illegally. Meanwhile they are all busy trying to have anchor babies as quickly as they can and like parasites begin feeding at the welfare trough created for needy citizens. I believe they should change the law to stipulate that any child born to a citizen of the U.S. is "natural born". The whole 'born on U.S. soil' qualification is wearing very thin. It's doing irreparable harm to our economy. This coupled with the fact that our government is so generous with our money it feels obligated to fund abortions overseas as well.

Leaving isn't the answer, riel. Other countries (ones that YOU could live in, not third world countries) have much more lax abortion policies than the U.S. I've lived in Europe (well, I was a kid!) and have visited other countries too. I still prefer this imperfect soil that we're standing on to any other. The key is not to abandon ship....it's to set the course WE want and send the professional pork barrel politicians packing!
