  2. Thanks... for about an hour, I was freaking out — the transfer was botched and I had to start from scratch. Then, out of nowhere, I started getting bizarre 403 errors. Praise God, I was finally able to figure it all out. There was a massive amount of information to process, plus all the setup required for the various bots the chat relies on. But so far, so good!
  3. by Emmitt Barry, with reporting from Washington D.C. Bureau Staff (Worthy News) – In a major legislative triumph for President Donald Trump and House Republicans, the House of Representatives passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” in the early hours of July 3 by a 218-214 vote, sending the sweeping $4.5 trillion package to the president’s desk for signature just ahead of his self-imposed July 4 deadline. The massive 940-page bill–covering everything from tax cuts and defense funding to Medicaid reform and energy policy — marks a defining milestone in President Trump’s second term and cements a wide-ranging conservative agenda that had long been stalled by political infighting and Democrat obstruction. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who spearheaded the legislative push, praised the outcome as a generational win for American taxpayers and working families. “With one big, beautiful bill we are going to make this country stronger, safer, and more prosperous than ever before,” Johnson said. “This is a day of renewal for the American spirit.” The final vote came after a grueling, all-night session and days of tense negotiations. A procedural vote was held open for more than five hours as GOP leaders and White House officials, including President Trump himself, worked behind the scenes to secure support from skeptical lawmakers. Trump, who had insisted the bill be passed before Independence Day, personally lobbied members of Congress late into the night. His Truth Social post in the early morning hours–“FOR REPUBLICANS, THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY YES VOTE. RIDICULOUS!!!”–reflected the high stakes and urgency behind the effort. In the end, only two Republicans–Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.)–joined Democrats in voting against the bill. At the heart of the legislation is a permanent extension of President Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The bill also includes major new deductions for tipped workers, overtime pay, and seniors making under $75,000 per year. According to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, these changes would result in tax savings across all income levels — $150 for low-income Americans, $1,750 for middle earners, and $10,950 for higher earners. The bill allocates $350 billion toward national security and the president’s “Golden Dome” missile defense initiative, while surging funding to ICE and border enforcement to curb illegal immigration. On Medicaid, the legislation introduces work requirements for able-bodied, childless adults and increased eligibility verification measures aimed at ending fraud and preserving the safety net for truly needy Americans. Rep. Greg Murphy (R-N.C.) emphasized, “We’re going after waste, fraud, and abuse. People shouldn’t be on the system who are not eligible.” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) made a last-ditch effort to stall the bill, using the “magic minute” rule to speak for a record-breaking 8 hours and 44 minutes. Reading from a thick binder of constituent letters, Jeffries accused Republicans of waging “trickle-down cruelty” and called the House chamber a “crime scene.” But Republicans remained undeterred. Speaker Johnson responded with humor, placing his own large binder on the lectern and declaring, “This is what leadership looks like. We deliver results, not rhetoric.” Members of both the conservative and moderate wings of the GOP credited Trump with closing the deal. “The president is the best closer in the business,” said Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.), who noted Trump and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz addressed key Medicaid concerns in a July 2 White House meeting. In a rare display of unity, the New York and California-based “SALT Caucus” also signed on after securing a provision raising the state and local tax deduction cap to $40,000 for five years. Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas), chair of the House Budget Committee, called the bill “the most comprehensive and consequential set of conservative reforms in modern history.” Republican Study Committee Chair August Pfluger (R-Texas) echoed the sentiment: “We delivered historic tax relief, unleashed American energy, secured the border, and cut wasteful spending. This is a win for Main Street, not the D.C. swamp.” The bill also serves as a rebuke of the progressive policies enacted under Presidents Obama and Biden, rolling back much of the Medicaid expansion from the Affordable Care Act and repealing Biden’s green energy subsidies under the Inflation Reduction Act–policies Trump has blasted as socialist overreach. The bill now heads to President Trump’s desk for signing. He is expected to hold a celebratory signing ceremony on Independence Day, framing the moment as the dawn of a “new American chapter.” “This is not just a bill,” said Rep. Kevin Hern (R-Okla.), “It’s a return to common sense. It’s the Declaration of Economic Independence.” With the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” Republicans have delivered what many in the conservative movement are calling a modern-day Contract with America — one that returns power to the people, curbs government overreach, and reclaims American greatness. 4. I am saying Scripture indicates today we have the indwelling Holy Spirit, new birth, and God's Word as our sole focus just as 1Tim 3:15-17 states... To direct a heart to anything else makes that passage as not true... As the Word directs us also to s/Spirit and not to flesh: Galatians 5:16 (KJV) [16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Flesh is further defined in Hebrews: Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Leaving only Scripture and It's power as written through The Holy Spirit and indwelt man to direct us...

  6. It's interesting that Iran has long said it only wants to enrich uranium for peaceful, energy applications. However, from my very limited knowledge of nuclear power is that most nuclear power reactors operate with uranium only enriched to less that 10%! Enriching it to 60% has little application, from what I see, other than taking the next step to refine it up to weapons grade (90%).

  8. "Do not change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to Him and what is perfect." - Romans 12:2 NCV Sometimes the events of life seem to distance us from the awareness of His presence and we feel cast into a wilderness. In the wilderness, we tend to tune into the bitter past of life rather than the sweetness. However, it is in the wilderness that God speaks most clearly and opens the portals of heavenly revelation. "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His CALLING…." - Ephesians 1: 17,18 We can position our hearts to become an open portal to Heaven -- where God infuses us with His presence and revelation abounds -- flowing to us and through us. Like Moses' encounter with the burning bush, new direction often becomes clearer in the wilderness and DESTINY unfolds through the oddest signs along the trail. As we move into the sweetness of His presence, we exit the wilderness of circumstance. REACHING THE CENTRAL PLACE OF OUR INWARD WALK By not speaking, desiring, nor reasoning, we reach the central place of the inward walk -- that place where God speaks to our inward man. It is there that God communicates Himself to our spirit. "For God alone my soul waits in silence." - Psalm 62:1 We recall that Jacob wrestled with the Lord all night, until daybreak, THEN it was when the Lord blessed him. We persevere against any and all difficulties which confront us in our seeking the Lord's presence in our spirit. We are steadfast until the Lord gives our spirit His blessing. Job 26:14 - "And these are but the out fringe of His works; how faint the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power?" A revelation of the thunder of His power catapults us out of our wildernesses, shatters the realms of darkness and releases the awe of God as we disciple others into their Christ identity so they can displace the powers of darkness with His Kingdom as we move the Great Commission forward – exercising our God given authority. As our heart becomes an open portal of His love -- the awe of His power thunders around us and we find ourselves walking IN THE FULLNESS of Him, bearing fruit that remains for His advancing Kingdom through our Christ calling -- carrying this authority to release the realm of Heaven on earth. AFFIRMATION: My heart is a portal for His love as I meditate on the love of Jesus flowing into and through my heart as I go throughout the day. 9. First John One: 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. When John refers to an Anointing from the Spirit, he is referring to our Fellowship, not to any individual, as if he were saying that no one needs a teacher because of the Anointing. The Anointing is the Teacher, and the Power of the Holy Spirit present whenever two or more are gathered together in the name of Christ, the Son of God. Then, now and unto the end of the age. First John Two: 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in him. Anyone who states otherwise has never truly engaged in home fellowship, the gifts of the Spirit, the mutual edification of the Saints together in Light, or received from the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge found in Christ. The Ekklesia at Corinth were overly zealous for tongues, and the Lord used this as an opportunity to elaborate of how the Spirit operates in the group setting, and put the use of tongues in its place. First Corinthians Fourteen: 1-4 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 12-15 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel in the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 26-29 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. It is the most oxmoronish notion that "the canon of God's Word is closed", to the exclusion of God's Word contained in the Apostolic Doctrines recorded within that canon of scripture. I have stated this clearly before, you cannot mix pastoral letters with those addressing the Ekklesia at large. Leaders such as Timothy and the elders who were appointed over the Assemblies by them most certainly were expected to uphold the sanctity of God's Word as the ultimate arbiter in receiving from the Spirit, barring all contradiction of knowledge or science so called. This is the oft referred to "Berean Nobility". To deny that the Spirit directs us by way of Fellowship as a recognizable "Voice" is to deny the scriptures, the Anointing, and the purpose of God for us in Fellowship in Christ. These are sowers of discord among the Saints.
  10. The return of Jesus follows the Jewish wedding paradigm, in which the groom builds an addition onto his father's house, and then returns with a wedding party at an unexpected time and escorts his bride to their new home. See John 14:2.
  11. I understand the sanctity of the written word. So are you saying 1 John 2:27, regarding each of us having the inner anointing, doesn't apply to us today?
  12. Rev Math 25:46 tells us that the LOF will be an "eternal punishment". Why should anyone try to second guess God's Word and assume anything less than "for ever and ever"? And . . . Matt 25:46 says the opposite. None of these 3 forms are found in the Bible. And Matt 25:46 says the punishment will be eternal. Chapter and verse, please. No, none are biblical. But for sure all the reasons are either emotional or philosophical. What WILL BE annihilated is the physical mortal and resurrected bodies of the unsaved. There are 4 verses that tell us that both the saved and the unsaved will be resurrected: Dan 12:2, Matt 25:41, John 5:29 and Acts 24:15. The LOF is also called the "second death". What else can that refer to other than the mortal bodies that will be resurrected in order to appear before the GWT judgment? Therefore, the saved will be born twice but physically die once. Whereas the unsaved will be born once and physically die TWICE. Refers the resurrected but still mortal bodies. In Rev 20:10 we are told that the beast, false prophet and Satan will be "tormented day and night for ever and ever". Throughout the book of Revelation, the words "for ever and ever" are used for God Himself, which we ALL know is literally eternal; no beginning and no ending. So the context of the entire book totally favors a torment that will never end. How "for ever and ever" in any other book has no context or bearing with Rev 20:10. And Matt 25:46 agrees with Rebv 20:10. This assumes those in the LOF will be still planning and committing sin and evil. Where does anyone get that idea from in Scripture? Yes, Matt 25:46 is very clear about the fate of those cast into the LOF; eternal punishment. For any punishment, it must be experienced or felt in order to be considered punishment. If I could have gotten Novocain shots in my butt before getting a spanking from my Dad do you think those spanking could be considered a punishment? Of course not. And what immediately follows is the GWT judgment of all the unsaved and their being cast into that same LOF. iow, same fate. Amen!
  13. The Context speaking to people at that time so hermeneutically can we apply unction and special anointing to us today? Leading of Scripture states we are to be led by His Word and His Word alone... So, I am concerned when people focus, or are told to, upon their feelings and intuitions to look to the Word! Jesus specifically stated to us what we are responsible in this: John 12:47 (KJV) [47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. [48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. [50] And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. John 17:17 (KJV) [17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) [15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. THE focus should be Studying, meditating, memorizing Scripture so that one can evaluate all else: Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  14. by Emmitt Barry, with reporting from Worthy News Jerusalem Bureau Staff (Worthy News) – The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a U.S.-backed Christian-led aid organization, has issued a stark warning following what it calls “credible reports” that Hamas has placed bounties on both American and Palestinian aid workers. Despite the escalating threats, GHF says its mission will continue without fear or compromise. “We are aware of credible reports that Hamas is openly targeting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and those who work with us,” the foundation said in a Saturday statement. “According to these reports, Hamas has placed bounties on both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers – offering cash rewards to anyone who injures or kills them.” Rev. Johnnie Moore, executive chairman of GHF, emphasized the group’s resolve in the face of terror. “If all of these threats are intended to shut us down, it’s just not going to work,” Moore told The Daily Signal. “Terrorists want to cause you to be afraid. I’m a Christian. The Bible says, ‘God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of sound thinking, of clear thinking.'” Since launching operations on May 26, the foundation has delivered nearly 50 million meals to over 800,000 unique recipients in Gaza. The group claims it is operating the only functioning aid delivery system in the region that is free from Hamas interference–thanks to a bottom-up distribution strategy that circumvents the terrorist organization. The threats from Hamas come amid reports that the group has killed 12 GHF workers and tortured others. “Hamas has positioned armed terrorists near humanitarian zones in a deliberate effort to disrupt our work,” the group said in its statement. “They prefer chaos and starvation to peace and aid.” U.S. and Israeli governments have both backed the organization. Last month, the Trump administration approved $30 million in new funding for the group. And as recently as last week, President Donald Trump pledged his continued support and called for a ceasefire to facilitate aid. “President Trump has made clear he supports our work,” GHF said, “and has pledged as recently as yesterday to help broker a ceasefire and bring peace.” The U.S. State Department has also called on allies to support GHF as a private-sector alternative to the United Nations aid system, which American officials claim has been repeatedly looted by Hamas. In a statement posted to X, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee lauded the foundation’s work. “Last month President Trump told us to get food to civilians in Gaza but DON’T let Hamas steal it,” Huckabee wrote. “GHF delivers its 50 MILLIONTH meal tomorrow. NOT always pretty, but 800k+ unique recipients of food & 1ST TIME they received food FREE since start of war. Hamas has stolen or taxed it & now [with] GHF they CAN’T!” “Hamas’ main tool to control Gaza is GONE,” Huckabee continued. “Hamas has put a bounty on head of everyone at GHF – Gazans & Americans. The UN remains SILENT.” Despite its successes, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has drawn criticism from international organizations. On Friday, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres labeled the foundation “inherently unsafe” and accused it of “killing people.” A June report from the U.N. human rights office alleged that 410 Palestinians had been killed by Israeli forces while approaching aid hubs–a toll they say could amount to war crimes. More than 170 NGOs, including Amnesty International and Save the Children, have called for the group to be dismantled. Gaza medical officials claim as many as 500 people have died near aid convoys or distribution centers since the group began operations. Moore rejects those numbers. “There have been no violent incidences at our sites or involving any of our people,” he said. “We can’t control what happens outside our perimeter. This is a hot war.” He added that the reports from the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry are part of a propaganda campaign. “They attribute 100% of casualties to our sites–it’s just not true. It’s information warfare designed to keep Gazans away and turn the world against us.” Meanwhile, Israel is taking steps to curb Hamas exploitation of aid. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have given the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) 48 hours to develop a new plan to prevent Hamas from commandeering supplies. The directive follows intelligence showing Hamas fighters once again hijacking aid–confirmed by a video shared by former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett showing terrorists atop food trucks. “Soldiers on the ground explained to me that these are the current instructions–to bring in trucks without control,” Bennett posted on X. “This is how they continue to feed Hamas with money and power.” Following pressure from Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Channel 12 News reported that all aid shipments into Gaza have been temporarily suspended until the IDF presents its updated strategy. Despite all these developments, Moore insists GHF will press forward. “Gazans keep showing up, and we keep showing up,” he said. “The people of Gaza deserve to eat, and they can’t rely on anybody else. They got to rely on us. And we’re 50 million meals in. We’re just going to keep at it, despite all the lies.” The post Hamas Targets Gaza Aid Workers as U.S.-Backed Humanitarian Group Vows to Press On appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 17. by Worthy News Washington D.C. Bureau Staff (Worthy News) – The Pentagon has paused some shipments of U.S. weapons to Ukraine as part of an internal review to assess the impact on America’s own military stockpiles, Defense Department officials confirmed Wednesday. The move comes as the Trump administration prioritizes recalibrating U.S. defense commitments in light of strategic needs, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell told reporters that the review is part of a broader effort to ensure that all ongoing U.S. military aid programs are aligned with the administration’s defense priorities. “We see this as a common-sense, pragmatic step towards having a framework to evaluate what munitions are sent and where,” Parnell said. Although the Defense Department did not release a list of affected items, media reports indicate that Patriot air defense systems and 155mm artillery shells are among those now under review. Parnell declined to confirm specific weapons or quantities, emphasizing instead that “our military has everything that it needs to conduct any mission, anywhere, anytime.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded cautiously, noting that Kyiv is working with U.S. negotiators to clarify the status of future shipments. “We must ensure protection for our people,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram, adding that Ukraine is also engaging other partners such as Denmark on arms production agreements. The United States has provided more than $66 billion in security and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since Russia’s 2022 invasion, including over $45 billion in weapons and munitions drawn from U.S. stockpiles. Parnell criticized the previous Biden administration for not adequately assessing the state of U.S. reserves. “For four years, we were giving away weapons and munitions without really thinking about how much we had,” he said. “Now, part of our job is to give the President a framework so he can evaluate how many munitions we have and where we’re sending them.” Critics of the pause, including lawmakers and defense experts, warned that delaying arms shipments risks emboldening Russia and undermining U.S. credibility. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) voiced concern: “We can’t let Putin prevail now. I led the effort to pass the emergency wartime supplemental to ensure Ukraine finally had the weapons it needed to repel Russia’s vicious and unprovoked attack.” Bradley Bowman, director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, called the decision a “self-inflicted wound,” warning that adversaries like China are watching closely. “If Beijing observes that the United States is not even willing to send weapons to a beleaguered democracy… why would they believe Washington will send Americans to fight in the Taiwan Strait?” he said. Ukraine’s foreign ministry expressed alarm, saying any delay in U.S. military aid would only embolden Russia. “Any delay or procrastination… will only encourage the aggressor to continue the war and terror, rather than seek peace,” the ministry said, noting that Kyiv had summoned the acting U.S. envoy to express its concerns. This is not the first time U.S. aid has been paused. Earlier in the year, weapons deliveries were temporarily delayed in February and March before the final packages approved under the Biden administration were sent. No new aid has yet been announced under the Trump administration. Deputy White House press secretary Anna Kelly said in a statement that the decision reflects a commitment to putting “the country’s interests first.” She added, “The strength of the United States Armed Forces remains unquestioned–just ask Iran.” NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte acknowledged the importance of U.S. readiness but said, “In the short term, Ukraine cannot do without all the support it can get.” The post U.S. Temporarily Halts Some Ukraine Arms Shipments Amid Pentagon Review appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 18. by Worthy News Washington D.C. Bureau Staff (Worthy News) – The U.S. economy added 147,000 jobs in June, beating forecasts of 115,000, while the unemployment rate edged down to 4.1%, according to Labor Department data released July 3. Economists had expected a rise to 4.3%. Most job gains came from state and local government, especially education. Private-sector hiring slowed significantly, adding just 74,000 jobs—its weakest showing since October 2024. Manufacturing jobs declined for the second straight month, and federal jobs fell by 7,000. Average hourly earnings rose 0.2% in June, below expectations, while labor force participation slipped to 62.3%. Long-term unemployment surged by 190,000, and more Americans are working multiple jobs, now totaling 8.87 million. Immigration enforcement may be dampening workforce participation. The share of foreign-born workers in the labor force dropped to 66.3%, down from 67.3% last year. Economists warn the U.S. may need fewer new jobs to maintain low unemployment due to declining immigration. Markets reacted positively. Stocks rose slightly, Treasury yields climbed, and the dollar strengthened. The strong report reduced expectations for a July Fed rate cut, with most bets now shifting to September. Despite strong headline numbers, analysts warn job growth is narrowing and uncertainty over trade and Fed policy looms large. 19. By Andrew Rice | The Center Square (Worthy News) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to take up two cases in its next term on laws banning transgender women from participating in girls and women’s sports, based on biological sex. The Supreme Court will hear arguments on Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J. The cases come out of Idaho and West Virginia, respectively, where individual athletes filed suit in the states alleging discrimination on the basis of sex. In Idaho, the 2020 Fairness in Women’s Sports Act placed a categorical ban on participation of transgender women and girls from competing in women’s and girls sports across all ages and levels of competition. The act also allowed any student to “dispute” the sex of any student participating in female athletics and required that athlete to undergo medical procedures to verify sex. Lindsay Hecox, a transgender athlete, sued the state and an Idaho district court enjoined the order on the basis of sex discrimination. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the district court’s judgment and prevented the Idaho law from going into effect. In West Virginia, the Save Women’s Sports Act prevented biological males from competing in girls and womens sports across the state. Becky Pepper-Jackson, a 13-year-old transgender girl, challenged the law. Pepper-Jackson said she identified as transgender since third grade and was taking puberty-blocking medication. The law prevented Pepper-Jackson from participating on the cross-country team. The West Virginia district court decided the case did not discriminate on the basis of sex and the state’s law was constitutional. On appeal, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the lower court’s decision. The Supreme Court took up the West Virginia case in 2023 and decided to vacate the circuit court’s decision, sending it back to the lower court. In each case, the state governments filed petitions to the Supreme Court and were granted a hearing. Sarah Parshall Perry, vice president at the advocacy group Defending Education, celebrated the court’s decision to take up each case. “To those of us who have been advocating for common sense athletic policies separating boys and girls based on notions of fairness, safety, equality, and the black letter text of Title IX – we are, today, breathing a sigh of relief,” Perry said. “It appears the grownups are finally in the room, and the Court is likely to – based on its recent jurisprudence – overturn the decisions of the 4th and 9th Circuits striking down women’s sports protection laws,” she added. The court’s next term will begin in October. Arguments are likely to be heard in the fall with a decision coming out in spring 2026. ‘We look forward to continuing to vigorously defend the cause of educational equality in the coming months until all women and girls can reclaim their rightful spots on athletic fields across the nation,” Perry said. 20. by Worthy News Washington D.C. Bureau Staff (Worthy News) – Three leaders of a prominent house church in China’s Shanxi Province have been sentenced to prison on what advocates call baseless fraud charges, highlighting ongoing persecution of unregistered Christian groups under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Pastor Li Jie and Elder Han Xiaodong of Linfen Covenant Home Church were each sentenced to three years and eight months in prison, while Elder Wang Qiang received a one-year and 11-month sentence. The verdict was handed down June 20 following years of surveillance, detentions, and a heavily restricted trial process that drew criticism from international human rights groups. Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), a UK-based watchdog monitoring global religious persecution, reported the sentences on Tuesday, calling them the result of a deeply flawed judicial process. The charges stem from the church’s collection of tithes and offerings, which authorities labeled as “illegal income” and part of a “criminal clique.” The trial, which began May 8, was held behind closed doors and under intense security. Authorities barred public access and forcibly removed Pastor Li’s wife, mother, and two children from the courthouse on the day of the hearing. “This was not justice–it was a political show trial designed to send a warning to unregistered house churches across China,” said CSW President Mervyn Thomas. “The denial of due process and reports of coercion show how easily China’s judicial system can be manipulated against faith groups.” Wang Qiang’s sentence was considered served due to time already spent under “Residential Surveillance in a Designated Location,” a practice the United Nations defines as a form of enforced disappearance. He was later released on bail in March 2025. Church members and global advocates condemned the sentences. In a statement translated by China Aid, the Linfen Covenant Home Church said: “We do not accept this unjust judgment. Our brothers did not commit fraud, and the offerings of our church are not fraud… We receive the result of the judgment from the Lord with a heart of gratitude and obedience.” The case is part of a broader crackdown on house churches that operate outside China’s state-sanctioned religious system. Though the Chinese constitution formally recognizes freedom of religion, that protection only extends to “normal religious activities”–a term that remains undefined and leaves unregistered churches vulnerable. In December 2024, over a dozen Chinese human rights lawyers and activists signed a petition challenging the criminalization of voluntary church donations. The same day as the Linfen verdicts, ten leaders of another local church–Golden Lampstand Church–received prison sentences of up to nine years on similar charges, following mass arrests dating back to 2021. The pressure is not limited to Chinese nationals. New regulations that went into effect on May 1, 2025, now bar foreign missionaries from preaching or distributing religious material without government approval. Under the revised rules, non-citizens may only teach if explicitly invited by state-registered religious organizations, and all sermons must be pre-approved by Chinese authorities. Open Doors, an international Christian advocacy group, described these moves as part of an aggressive campaign to silence independent religious expression in China, citing increasing surveillance and digital monitoring of faith communities. “The message is clear,” said Thomas. “Unregistered religious groups–especially those that refuse to align with the state–will be systematically dismantled.” CSW and other organizations have called on the Chinese government to overturn the sentences and to allow all religious communities to operate freely and transparently under international human rights law. In recent years, the government has “aggressively tried to ensure all religious expression is brought into line with official Chinese Communist philosophy,” the group added. “Any church or church leader stepping beyond that can come under heavy restrictions. Unregistered churches, even those once tolerated, are considered illegal and increasingly put under pressure, as authorities seek to enforce regulations and tighten policies.” Even state-approved churches “come under strong ideological pressure, and smaller congregations are often forced to merge to make a larger church that is easier for the state to control.” Despite the reported crackdown, there are at least nearly 100 million Christians in China, with some estimates suggesting the figure could be 130 million or higher in the nation of more than 1.4 billion people. China has denied human rights abuses, saying they are based on “lies and false information.” Open Doors ranks the country 15th on its annual World Watch List of 50 countries where it says Christians face the most persecution. 21. Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. In a world full of uncertainty, this verse from Romans stands like a lighthouse in the storm: “The God of hope…” Not just the God who gives hope, but the very source of it. When everything around us seems shaken — economies falter, nations rage, relationships strain — it is the God of hope who remains unshaken and unchanging. The apostle Paul is writing this as both a blessing and a prayer. His desire is that believers wouldn’t just scrape by emotionally, but be filled — overflowing with joy and peace. But there’s a condition: “in believing.” Joy and peace are not produced by circumstances going right, but by faith — by believing that God is good, God is near, and God is working all things together for good. And here’s the beautiful secret: it’s not up to us to manufacture this hope. Paul says it is “by the power of the Holy Spirit” that we abound in hope. That means when you feel empty, weak, or discouraged, you can cry out to the Spirit of God, and He will fill you. This is not wishful thinking; this is supernatural empowerment. But it doesn’t end with you. The hope God gives is not meant to be bottled up. If you’re not centered in His hope, you’ll have nothing of substance to give to a hopeless world. But when you are filled — when your life is anchored in His peace and joy through faith — you become a vessel that overflows. You begin to spread abounding hope to those around you: in your family, in your workplace, in your community, and even across nations. Hope becomes contagious. And in these last days, a hope-filled believer becomes a blazing signpost pointing to a living Savior. So rise up, child of God. The world is drowning in fear, division, and despair—but you carry the answer. Let the God of hope fill you so completely that hopelessness has no room to linger. Let joy silence anxiety. Let peace disarm chaos. And let the blazing hope of the Holy Spirit within you pierce the darkness like a sword of light. This is your calling — not just to survive in these days, but to abound. To be a walking embassy of heaven’s hope. To lift the weary. To speak life into the broken. To shine with a supernatural confidence that the world cannot explain — because your hope isn’t rooted in headlines, but in the unshakable promises of God. You were not meant to carry a dim candle. You were meant to burn bright with holy fire. So stay centered in His hope—and then go and spread it with boldness, until the whole world knows: there is a God of hope, and His name is Yeshua (Jesus). View the full article
  22. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News JAKARTA (Worthy News) – Dozens of people were feared dead Thursday after a ferry sank and five people died the previous night near Indonesia’s tropical resort island of Bali. Authorities confirmed that at least five people were dead following the disaster, adding that at least 29 people were missing, with rescue workers still searching for them. Amid the tragedy, 35 survivors were brought to safety as part of the rescue operations, which included a helicopter and 15 vessels, backed by fishermen, officials said. Yet many of those rescued were unconscious after drifting in choppy waters for hours, cautioned Banyuwangi Police Chief Rama Samtama Putra. The KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya sank almost half an hour after leaving Ketapang port in the East Java town of Banyuwangi late Wednesday for a trip of about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) to Bali’s Gilimanuk port, authorities said. Family members arrived at the port in a panic or weeping as they sought information about their loved ones, footage showed. They were confronted with the hard reality. “The condition of this ship is fully submerged, so there is a possibility that there are people inside the ferry. But right now we are focusing on the surface of the water first,” noted Nanang Sigit, the head of Surabaya Search and Rescue, in published remarks. The bodies of five discovered victims will be taken to their families in Banyuwangi, at the far eastern end of the island of Java, Sigit added. WEATHER CONCERNS Sea and weather conditions were reportedly improving during the morning, aiding the search for survivors. Strong waves up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) high and darkness had hampered emergency responders overnight. While conditions improved Thursday morning, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency warned that waves still reached up to 2.5 meters (8.2 feet), with strong currents and winds Thursday afternoon. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is visiting Saudi Arabia, ordered an immediate emergency response. He stressed that the cause of the accident was “bad weather”. However, questions were due to be raised about the safety of shipping. An officer at the port witnessed the sinking before rescuers could be alerted. RADIO ISSUES “The ferry could not be contacted via radio from the beginning. Then it could be contacted by other ships from the same company. But the ship was already in a tilting condition,” Sigit said. Survivors noted a leak in the engine room of the ferry, which they said was also carrying 22 vehicles, including 14 trucks. “When the ferry started to tilt, I initially intended to jump into the sea, but the ship quickly sank, so I did not jump any more but sank with the water entering the ship, maybe about 7 meters (23 feet) deep, so I immediately climbed up to the top,” recalled Supardi, 64, a survivor. He said he and three other people grouped in the water and used life jackets to stay afloat. They were among those being rushed to nearby medical facilities, including Jembrana Regional Hospital in Bali. The latest tragedy came nearly a month after scores of tourists in Indonesia’s province of Bali miraculously survived when their vessel sank on the west coast of Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the coast of Bali but part of the province. The Tanis vessel, which has a capacity of 125 people, carried a total of 89 passengers when tragedy struck, but everyone was rescued, Worthy News reported last month. Critics say maritime disasters are a common occurrence in Indonesia, an archipelago of about 17,000 islands, where lax safety standards often allow vessels to be overloaded without adequate life-saving equipment. In March, a boat carrying 16 people capsized in rough waters off Bali, killing an Australian woman and injuring at least one other person. Earlier in 2018, more than 150 people drowned when a ferry sank in one of the world’s deepest lakes on Sumatra island, officials said. 23. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News) – Audio has been released from the scene in the Kootenai County of the U.S. state of Idaho, where firefighters responding to a blaze were killed and another wounded in a sniper ambush. Following Sunday’s attack, authorities located the body of a deceased man with a firearm nearby and lifted “the shelter-in-place” order. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said “fire crews responded to a blaze” at “Canfield Mountain just north of Coeur d’Alene” at around 1:30 p.m. local time. Gunshots were reported about a half-hour later. In audio from the scene, a firefighter said there was an “emergency situation” and an “active shooter at a fire.” “We need law enforcement up here immediately,” the firefighter told a dispatcher, adding that there were “two battalion chiefs down.” “We have another Coeur d’Alene firefighter down … we’ve got two unresponsive battalion chiefs down, multiple gunshot wounds, two Coeur d’Alene are down … I’m pinned down,” the caller continued. The caller also said that the blaze “was set intentionally to draw us in.” TWO KILLED Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris told reporters that two firefighters were killed and another was fighting for his life, “though in stable condition,” after receiving surgery. Authorities tracked down the body of the suspected sniper using cell phone information. Due to the danger, fire crews had to retreat, and the brush fire continued to pose a threat. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the agency responded to the scene with technical teams and tactical support. Idaho Governor Brad Little said “multiple” firefighters were attacked in the incident. “Multiple heroic firefighters were attacked today while responding to a fire in North Idaho,” he wrote on X. “This is a heinous direct assault on our brave firefighters. I ask all Idahoans to pray for them and their families as we wait to learn more. Teresa and I are heartbroken. As this situation is still developing, please stay clear of the area to allow law enforcement and firefighters to do their jobs.” The tragedy highlighted growing concerns about the many weapons available for sale in the U.S. The post US Sniper Kills Two Firefighters, Audio Reveals appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 24. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News SEOUL (Worthy News) – Concerns remained Wednesday about likely more restrictions on groups trying to spread the Gospel in North Korea and support Christians there, after the arrest of six Americans in South Korea. The six U.S. citizens were reportedly taken into police custody Friday after attempting to send 1,600 bottles filled with Bibles, USB data storage devices for computers, money, and rice by sea to North Korea. They were detained on South Korea’s front-line Gwanghwa Island before throwing the bottles into the sea and floating them toward North Korean shores on the tides, according to local police. Officials said the Americans are being investigated for allegations that they “violated the law” in managing safety and disasters. Gwanghwa police explained that they hadn’t found what was on the USB sticks. The U.S. Embassy in South Korea had no immediate public comment. For years, activists have sought to float plastic bottles or fly balloons across the border carrying Bibles as well as anti-North Korea propaganda leaflets and USB devices with South Korean dramas and South Korean-style K-pop songs. The latest incident comes as South Korea’s new liberal government seeks to ease friction with Pyongyang and restart long-dormant talks, observers said. VIOLATING RULES Though well-meaning, the actions of the Americans “violated South Korean ordinances banning balloon and sea-based launches to the North,” ordinances aimed at reducing tensions, stressed Christians working in the region. They added that the six detained Americans acted without consulting local organizations “experienced in such work.” Eric Foley, who represents Christian advocacy group Voice of the Martyrs Korea (VOMK) explained that “One of the challenges that we see with people, groups doing work [trying to help those] inside North Korea is that they often don’t think about the Christians that are inside North Korea, to begin with.” He also told broadcaster Mission Network News (MNN), adding that, “There are an estimated 30,000 North Koreans in prison for their faith” in Christ. The VOMC urged “global intercession” [prayers] for those suffering under North Korea’s hardline government and for South Korea as a nation both” before God and, likely, “before the government.” Additionally, “Listen to the people who are in a country. Listen to how they tackle the problem, how they ask for partnership, how they believe that those things can best be done,” VOMC stressed. 25. The Lord tells everyone (Mark 13:37), and especially those of us who supposedly believe in the Word, to watch for the signs in the Olivet discourse (Luke 21, Mark 13, and Matthew 24), which include droughts, and famines. While droughts and famines have been with us since time began; levels of droughts and famines today are reaching unprecedented levels according to the Guardian article site below. These new milestone levels of droughts and famines are projected to worsen, due to man made global warming, caused by fossil fuel burning industries. Can you recognize the signs, or are you willfully blind to the signs, as they who are destroying the earth, because of their love for the things their hands make through fossil fuel burning industries? https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/jul/02/droughts-worldwide-pushing-tens-millions-starvation-report?utm_term=686603c59485de85604634b8b687ec27&utm_campaign=GuardianTodayUK&utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&CMP=GTUK_email Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
  26. Those are who are destroying the earth and disregard all of the Lords angels soundings/warnings in Revelation 8 & 9, are they whom upon the Lords return, He will destroy (Revelation 11:18). Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
  27. But we all have a responsibility to work with God. We can't just do whatever we please and pray God will forgive everything. We have to do our part with him. I try. I also pray to God all the time asking for wisdom, guidance, help. I am struggling with so many things right now I feel close to my breaking point. I think my belief in Jesus is the only thing keeping me from giving up. His teachings and the Bible have really helped me to try to have a positive outlook. Life is such a struggle for us all, I know I have it so good compared to millions of others. I am really trying to appreciate the good things I do have going for me.
