  1. In Greek language of the 1st century, apologia is a legal term. It is a reasonded defense as in a court of law. We apply the term today in a roughly similar meaning. In the case of Christian apologetics, we are presenting the case for God, the Bible, Christ, the gsopel etc. Giving reasons why we beleive what we beleive. The word is not limited to issues of faith though in modern culture. For example, the president has apologists, people who try to defend his words and actions. See 1 Pet 3:15 in my signature below, those are our marching orders to be apologists. In the sense that the word is uses, we are not apologizing as in saying we are sorry, we are defending our beliefs without apology, so to speak,

  2. It's All About Jesus Christ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood; Revelation 1:5 (World English Bible) In Most Any Translation You May Choose and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born out of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to him who did love us, and did bathe us from our sins in his blood, Revelation 1:5 (Young's Literal Translation)

  4. I don't think the "country" ever worshiped God. This isn't old testament Israel and there is no Biblical evidence of a covenant that God made with the United States. Having said that, this is clearly alarming for a myriad of reasons. Firstly, this will give any male who wants to be able to get into the girls' bathroom easy access, and vice versa. That's the first thing that popped out at me. This is eventually going to go very badly. Actually, the country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles and you should really look into the covenant that the Pilgrims made with God when they landed here. No we are not a Theocracy like OT Israel. However, we have declared His name over our Nation, our Laws, and our Institutions and that is not deniable, try as you like. There is also Gods Law which when followed is a Blessing but when abandoned leaves a Nation without covering Grace. I tire of folks who believe that we can live like hell and escape Judgment. God is Just! yes He is Merciful but there are clear standards by which He will take a Nation away. I never said we were going to "escape judgement." It's obvious to me that nothing we can do will cause us to "escape judgement," including making some unilateral covenant with God because in the end all nations turn on Israel, including this one. My problem with the statement is that Biblically God is the one who makes covenants, not men. Did abram offer isaac to God unilaterally or did God order abram to sacrifice isaac and then reward him for obedience later? Israel didn't go to God and say "here, we're going to do be your people and you're going to be our God." It was exactly the opposite in both situations. The name God is used in a lot of official documents, money, etc. in the united states as well, but where is the recognition of the true Christian God? Where is the name Jesus in our constitution. If the founding fathers were so sold out on an idea of a secular government with Christian theocracy as the basis for society where is Jesus being preached in all this?

  5. “The irony of the proposed law is that its blatant use of extortion — by holding nonprofit groups financially hostage — instills its own form of discrimination by trampling” individual and organizational religious beliefs, wrote Lori Arnold, a research analyst for the California Family Council. Enough said.

  6. I honestly don't think we can know for sure. And people have been thinking they're the last generation for a long long time. However, I hope we are. I feel certain we're in the last days. But where in the last days I don't know. Come Lord Jesus come.
