  1. Topic One Science is dead. Science will always have no power to describe the physical universe. Here's a very brief why. In his "End Of Physics" lecture (2010), physicist Stephen Hawking declared that because of the very eminent mathematician Kurt Gödel's "Incompleteness Theorem", physics (and science) can never understand the laws that govern our universe. Professor Kurt Gödel's discovery is considered the most important discovery in mathematics. Albert Einstein, who taught at the same college, said he was in absolute awe of Gödel's intelligence. It was Einstein who helped Dr.Godel attain his U.S. citizenship. The renowned physicists Roger Penrose and Freeman Dyson, and others, have also stated that because of the Gödel's theorem science can never comprehend the universe.(By the way physicist Sean Carroll showed in 2013, that there probably is no "Multiverse" - but is it of importance? Since science is just a bunch of ever-changing-fallible-peer-reviewed opinions that can never be fact, let alone Truth. And we can prove this because of Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem. Why do you think the truly great scientists/mathematicians such as Michael Faraday, Leonhard Euler, Bernhard Riemann, and many others, ( whose science and mathematics scientists of today use for their theories) believed Jesus of Nazareth was the Truth. They knew science was always going to be extremely limited in its ability to describe and understand, what Jesus Christ and the his Father, created. Now we can emphatically and objectively show - thanks to Gödel - science will always be utterly powerless and wrong in comprehending, and explaining the physical universe. What do you think? Thanks for reading this. Topic Two NUMISMATICS An Incredible Discovery For Christians! Actual Image of King HEROD Agrippa. Numismatics is the study of coins. One of the best British Roman historians showed how we can use Roman Provincial Coins (RPC) to understand ancient Greco-Roman history. The New Testament takes place, mainly, in the Roman Empire. ACTS 12 in the Bible(many young people reading from around the world, may not know this), says that King Herod killed James the Apostle and put Peter in prison. This King of ACTS 12 is King Herod Agrippa 1. He was the grandson of King Herod the Great. Herod the Great, as you know, was the king who tried to kill baby Jesus. Incredibly, a detailed picture(likeness) of King Herod Agrippa 1 is on a few, almost 2000 years old, extant((still existing) coins. GOOGLE: Herod Agrippa image coin Go to 2nd search result with coin images: The two dark grey coins from "vitualreligion.net & mefacts.com" are the ones with Agrippa 1's true likeness. But you have to be warned that King Herod Agrippa 1 minted many coins. Just because you read "coin of Herod Agrippa 1" it does not mean it is Agrippa's true picture on it -the kings who mint the coins usually put the Roman Emperor's bust/picture on it. If you want to be 100 percent sure you are seeing the King Herod Agrippa 1 of Acts 12, then go to GOOGLE books: search:IMAGES AND MONUMENTS OF NEAR EAST DYNASTS 100 B.C. - A.D. 100 (author:Andreas J. Kropp) Then search in the preview window: Herod Agrippa coin image (or likeness) { see on page 76 ; fig. 31} Please share this info about the coin with Christian youth or anyone. When I showed a photo of a coin with the real 2000 years old image of Salome ,from the Gospel of Matthew, to a Christian youth, she was absolutely shocked that we have real images of people from the Bible. Her entire family was tremondously excited to see the image - it truly strengthened their faith in Jesus and the Word. We have to edify the church in this day and age. (Please see my essay "Picture of Herod's Step-daughter Who Killed John the Baptist" ; in part 2 I prove factually from the evidence given by the greatest Greco-Roman historian of the last 150 years, that there was an historical empty tomb of Jesus; and I also talks about how amazed Neil Armstrong -first man on the Moon - was to walk on the still existing Southern Steps in Jerusalem, where Jesus actually preached from!!: essay -October 11/2014 in General Discussion, Worthy Christian Forums). What do you think? Thanks again for reading this. Sincerely, Rony.

The owner's wife runs a small hotel with a five-star chef, and sets aside the dining room for it. You get your choice of three menus (meat, fish, or vegetarian) and this year I chose the meat. The full course consists of Tuscan-style tomato, red pepper, and spinach bisque to start, followed by a very nice salad. The meat's pan-seared Angus New York strip steak with sauteed grape tomatoes, Julienne leeks with cracked peppercorn Merlot wine, and rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes. The grand finale is symphony chocolate croissant bread pudding. Told you he's a five-star chef!

I just talk to Him like I am having a normal conversation, in my head, aloud in my car. I just tell Him how I'm feeling and ask Him to help me. And I listen to worship music, my favorites, over and over. Today it has been Thrive by Casting Crowns, over and over. Tomorrow maybe Rooftops, my all-time favorite by Jesus Culture.

  9. I guess Christmas Staff parties are what you make of them. If the people planning the Christmas parties are just planning a night out for over drinking and partying then I can understand why others would be uncomfortable attending them. But, if the Christmas staff party is one of fellowship, eating, and fun then why wouldn't you want to attend it? My organization had its Christmas Party on Friday, it was an opportunity for my wife and me to dress up formally and be adults, instead of parents for a few hours. We had a great time and we got to sit at a table with some good friends of ours. There were a few games, like a scavenger hunt, hula hoop contest, and a few other fun games that adults don't normally get to play. I might add, my wife won the hula hoop contest and we got tickets to a sporting event. There were also raffle/door prize drawings and lots of people left the party with something pretty nice. Once the formal party ended, people had the choice of disbanding and continuing elsewhere, or calling it a night, it was a perfect opportunity to depart politely without worrying about being "spoilsport." If you don't like how Christmas/Holiday Parties are formatted, then perhaps you could join the committee and help plan the next event. You could bring a voice of reason into the mix, be an advocate for the people that are offended by drinking/partying and plan something more conventional.

Too Many Folk Have To Work Too Very Very Hard And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Ephesians 3:9 And Heap Words Upon Heaping Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Exodus 20:8-11 Or So I Think And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 13. Enoch, my apologies for the misunderstanding on your position, I must have misread something. Before I get going I just want to say, nothing in my post is meant to demean or insult you or your beliefs in any way. Should something strike you in such a fashion, I assure you that is not my intent. I am continually searching for the truth, nothing more, and I don't believe I have all the answers, in fact, I know I do not. I do believe that scripture holds all the answers though. I guess the next question for me to understand your thinking is, who do you see as the "remnant?" I know you believe they are Jews, but remnant of....? I ask because I don't see anywhere in Hosea where he specifies this is only for a remnant. It seems to be addressing the Jews as a whole. Then there is the verse you posted earlier from Revelation 12, which you referred to as a slam dunk. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Your conclusion was that the woman was Israel, and the remnant of her seed are select Jews within that group. Now the verse in Revelation indicates that this is the group the dragon makes war with, because the woman cannot be touched for 42 months. You just now stated in your response to me that the remnant is the group that is protected. So basically my question still stands, how can you have the same group protected and not protected? Then there is the issue with whether this remnant qualifies with what we know of the Jews. We know several things about the remnant, they keep the commandments of God, and they have the testimony of Jesus Christ. We also know that they are in harm's way. The woman (Israel) is not in harm's way, so that should rule out the Jews. The Jews don't have the testimony of Jesus Christ, so that should rule out the Jews. Jew or gentile keep the commandments of God when taking all of scripture into consideration, as was adequately displayed in a previous post. A quick summary of Hosea should make this clearer. Chapter 1 tells you about Hosea's life, and specifically about how his adulterous wife torments him with her infidelities and the fact that he always takes her back. Basically, Hosea's relationship is contrasted to the Lord's relationship with Israel. This is what the prophecy is all about, reconciliation and forgiveness. As far as the translation issue, I understand some people only like certain translations, but I try to keep it reader friendly. I'm not sure what your argument is, your posted information and the subject of the text make it clear what the proper word is to insert. The translation I posted is an accurate translation of that verse. Let's look at it again. Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. The word in question is Ishi, which you provided a list of possibilities for, so let's fill in the blank. "that thou shalt call me _____; 1) man 1a) man, male (in contrast to woman, female) 1b) husband 1c) human being, person (in contrast to God) 1d) servant 1e) mankind 1f) champion 1g) great man 2) whosoever 3) each (adjective) I don't see the Jews calling their Messiah; man, human being, servant, mankind, great man, whosoever, or each, or any of the other possibilities listed besides husband. Given the entire subject matter and purpose of the book of Hosea is to draw this parallel between Hosea's love for his adulterous wife and the Lord's love for Israel, husband is the correct translation and understanding of the verse. You asked who they are? Israel. That is what Hosea is all about. You asked who they call husband? The Lord, as indicated in the verse. You asked if I am saying the Jews are the bride? No, I am saying anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their savior is part of the body of Christ, and will partake in the wedding supper, regardless of what time they lived and died, ethnicity, or any other reasoning for dividing people into groups outside of believers and non-believers. I'm not sure how you see II Cor. 11:2 or Eph. 5:31-32 as major problems. How many verses are there in scripture where the Lord addresses Israel with a version of "I am a jealous God." At any rate, I don't see anything in either passage which would exclude the Jews. I don't want to make assumptions about why you find those verses do not include them, so I will just post some of the scripture that supports my position. Romans 3:22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, And why would there be? We were grafted in. Paul was a Jew, was he not part of the church? Why would he or any of the other New Testament writers differentiate between the two when referring to the church? Paul did the opposite as shown above, there is no difference. Concerning the passage you posted from Rev. 19:7-9, I don't disagree that this is the wedding supper, it says that it is. As does the passage I posted from Rev. 21, which places the wedding supper at the very end. I guess I'm not seeing the evidence to support your claims that this occurs before Jesus returns, nothing in the passage gives any indication of timing. Perhaps we see the book of Revelation differently in how we read it. I see Revelation as a compilation of short stories, all related to the same story, told from different viewpoints, with more specific accounts of certain events. Revelation 18 through the beginning of 19 are written in a very unique style which I see as one of those short stories, which is an account of the last day, the specific day and hour spoken of throughout end time prophecies. This thinking is supported by the scripture, which repeatedly speaks of this day and hour. The placement of the wedding supper at this time aligns with where Rev. 21 tells us the bride is prepared. I jumped over this section earlier, but wanted to address it now, this is what you posted in your response. These are the Tribulation Saints..... (Revelation 7:9) "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;" They come to know the LORD AFTER the great tribulation begins. Can't be "The Church", John didn't recognize them (and a whole slew of other reasons). Can't be the 144,000 Jews, they were just sealed. Can't be the Jewish Remnant...they don't get saved until Christ's Return in Rev 19. Again, I see nothing there to support your statement that it can't be the church. Why would John recognize people who weren't born until thousands of years after his death? Why couldn't it be the 144,000? They will come out of the great tribulation right? And as you stated, the great tribulation is 3 1/2 years, so, why not? What difference does it make when they were sealed? The timing that an individual comes to belief in Jesus Christ will have no impact on their inheritance. Why not the Jewish remnant? The only requirement is that they go through the great tribulation (3.5 years you said), and this takes place after that period of time. Considering that the end of the 3 1/2 year period of time is when this occurs, I don't understand how this can be viewed in any other manner than all inclusive. Also, for the record, I don't accept the term tribulation saints as valid, considering there is no such distinction found anywhere in scripture. There are saints, and there are all those in big trouble. Scripture is consistent on the fact that saints are believers, period. Last but not least, Yes, I am saying that the place Jesus went to prepare for us is New Jerusalem. And yes, it is at the very end of the age. The reason I am saying it is simple, that is what the verse indicates to me. Rev. 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I believe the wedding supper itself is a symbol, and what it symbolizes is the finish line, or, our inheritance. Is there a more joyous, festive event than a wedding ceremony and reception? Anyway, this is why I disagree with any claims that would exclude any group from this event, because I know for certain there is no scripture to support such a claim. By the way, I love the bit on Bozrah/Petra from your earlier post, with the map and distance. Although we don't agree on all the details, I enjoy picking up interesting tidbits along the way, God bless.

  14. Hi . Regarding my October 11 ,2014 General Discussion essay about the true "picture of Herod's Step-daughter( Salome)" from Matthew's Gospel, another Worthy member had pointed out I was referring to the" Coin of the King of Chalcis" on the Salome Wikipedia page ,not to the painting that is at the top. Many Bible scholars and historians believe that the female "picture/image" on this nearly 2000 years old coin is in fact Tetrarch Herod Antipas' step daughter, who asked that John the Baptist be killed. Just to be extra clear , this time I headed the topic under 'Numismatics', which is the study of coins.I also mention an excellent book about actual real images/pictures/likenesses of people who lived between 100BC and AD 100. There are existing authentic ancient real images of 8 or 9 people from the New Testament, admittedly 3 of which are Roman Emperors, but the others such as King Herod Agrippa 1 are directly connected to the murder of James the Apostle and the imprisonment of Peter in Acts 12. As I show in Topic 2 of my present essay, we have a real true image/picture/likeness of Herod Agrippa 1 on a coin from AD41. Thanks for your interest. did I answer your question?

  15. I'll reply with the same question that you were asked on this subject before. How could a painter who was not born until 1406 AD be able to paint a real life picture of someone who lived 1406+ years before he was born? This is just a interpretation of what he believed she looked like.

  19. Whether one sees or hears apparitions of the supernatural, one ought to recognize that humankind has NO powers against them apart from minor changes affecting the physical environment. Men consider themselves to be the supreme entity in the universe. It is unsettling to discover we are not. So it is with those, myself included, who have engaged beings on the supernatural level. It must be reiterated here that only the blood of Christ can save a man or woman from the clutches of the kingdom of satan. This includes, but is not limited to demons, unclean spirits, ghosts and disembodied human spirits. A tip for anyone who wants to de-haunt a house or apartment: If the haunting is a disembodied human spirit, one only needs to rearrange the structure. A new coat of paint often goes a long way to ejecting an unwanted spirit. A caution should be noted here that such entities do not appreciate anyone manipulating what they consider to be their domain. They will do what they can to interfere with the process. In the initial phases, things can get very interesting. You don't need to hire ghostbusters, the local witch doctor or a ghost whisperer. Just buy paint at Home Depot. Think I"m kidding? Check it out. Make permanent or semi-permanent changes to the environment. Install a new door or remove one altogether. Put in a new window or seal an old one. Remove all old appliances and renovate the kitchen. These may not all have to be done. They are suggestions only. With regard to oppression and/or possession of more powerful entities such as demons or particularly unclean spirits, only Christian prayers and an appeal to God in the name of the blood of Christ will suffice to succeed. Bear in mind that such afflictions are usually due to some personal flirtation with sin. Before any of this can succeed, sin MUST be totally removed, denied and forgiven by God. Do not take this for granted. A determined effort must be made to make sure one has peace with God before entering spiritual warfare. Finally, it should be considered whether a spirit or spirits should be, in fact, removed at all. If removal is not accompanied with sincere changes in behavior and peace made with God, the spirits will come back seven times stronger. and that's just me, hollering from the choir loft... once a man dies his spirit is located in one of two places, the only spirits that pretend to be the spirits of dead people are familiar spirits and they are nothing more than an evil spirit that is familiar with the departed.

Some of my co-workers get drunk, on occasion its entertaining to mess with them, but on a more serious note, Im supposed to witness to them-I can't witness to them if I don't have some sort of a relationship with them, and I can't do that, unless I spend time with them. In my line of work, I spend most of my work day by myself-so these occasions are some of the few I do get to spend time with them. I don't get drunk like many of them, and many of the parties Ive been to with the exception of a few, are kept fairly family friendly thanks to my employers, and this years, while alcohol will be served, it will be moderated.
