From beginning to end it is filled with those who believed God and those who didn't. Those who believed God by Faith had their sins forgiven them by the atoneing work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who didn't went on denying the Word of God unto damnation. The Word is replete with examples of this. There were Hebrews who died in the desert in their sins. Not entering into Gods Rest. The Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. They failed to mix their Faith with the Word of God. Despite the offerings they made. Their Religion did not Save them. It was belief in the Promise and the Word of God that they stumbled over. So I ask again in light of the fact that it never was about YOUR sacrifice. How are your sins being atoned for? Again it is quite relevant because the very fact of the matter is that it is all about Faith in Gods Word. Always has been and always will be. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. There is no forgiveness without the shedding of Blood. It's just a matter of Faith. Yes, My point is exactly that you cannot offer Old Testament scripture as evidence for false Christianity when you misunderstand completely what True Religion is and the whole point of Judaism. You know it tears my heart when I read these Apologetics.I was thinking this morning as to when I first started to believe in Christ..It seems I can't find a starting place,I have always believed in Him.I have not always lived right,I have sinned more times than I can remember.I can trace my walk with Him,but I've always believed in Him.I've had 2 vision in my 50 years,so I know He is real.(you know in your spirit)I can't argue with someone about what the Bible says,I'm not that smart.But I try to live by example,I want people to see Christ in my life and I guess the Holy Spirit shows some people that (I in myself can not do that) .My brother has on his web site that it was through seeing my faith that he began to believe,I pray for the same for my 2 sons who are unbelievers,my brother-in-law told my sister"I wish I could believe like she does,but it just doesn't make sense to me"Our pastor say he believes that when people come to Christ its because somewhere someone was praying them through.I believe that too.My grandmother was a HOLINESS preacher and my uncle was a Evangelist. so maybe they prayed me through.. as a believer who lived with an abuser for 26 years,believe me you didn't let God down..I stayed for too many years believing prayer would change him(he didn't want to change).he told me he was an alocholic because you'd have to be one to live with me.well,I finally moved on and guess what..he is still drinking and is along.God sent me a very special christian man,we have been happily married for 6 years and I sometimes wonder why it took so long to LET GO AND LET GOD.that has always been my hardest thing to do ..TRUST GOD.

The Tablecloth True Story-submitted by Pastor Rob Reid -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in urban Brooklyn, arrived in early October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve. They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc. and on Dec. 18 were ahead of schedule and just about finished. On Dec 19 a terrible tempest- a driving rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days. On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church. His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 6 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high. The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for charity so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade, ivory colored, crocheted table cloth with exquisite work, fine colors and a cross embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to cover up the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church. By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus. She missed it. The pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later. She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area. Then he noticed the woman walking down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet. "Pastor," she asked, "where did you get that tablecloth?" The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crochet into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria. The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten the tablecloth. The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria. When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. She was captured, sent to prison and never saw her husband or her home again. The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home, that was the least he could do. She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job. What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return. One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood, continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving. The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much alike? He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee for her safety, and he was supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and put in a concentration camp. He never saw his wife or his home again for all the 35 years in between. The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor had taken the woman three days earlier. He helped the man climb the three flights of stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on the door and he saw the greatest Christmas reunion he could ever imagine.

I believe that we should remember what Christ did at calvary.I also think that it wasn't the suffering as much as his death that is the important thing to remember.through his stripes were are healed through his death we are redeemed.

I lived with my ex for 26 years.....oh it was the most awful time of my life..my children urged me for years to leave him,I had the church praying almost everytime I went..I thank God for my daughter she got me out.I have been gone now for 8 years, I am remarried to a Christian,who did not know God and had never heard of what Christ did for us at the cross.One day God will explain it all as to why my ex never was saved.me.I believe that he didn't want to change so God couldn't work in his life.does God condem me for remarrying? I don't know,my husband believes with his heart that if he hadn't meet me he still be headed for hell. He believes God put us together. I was asleep when the first tower was hit.I got on the computer and my son im"d me and said do you think its a terroist attack? I said what was? he told me that a plane had flew into the world trade center in New York. I turned on the t.v then went back to the computer.my son said they just flew another into the other tower. I turned to the t.v and saw it being replayed. I told my son *yea,It's an attack. I spent 2 weeks glued to the t.v praying they would find a pocket of people alive.cryed that who 2 weeks.

I'll be praying.I was in this same kind of situation with my first husband(26 yrs.) I could not visit my mother who lived less than 5 miles away.I didn't see or talk to my mother or family for 3 years.my ex. had even went so far as to map the mileage to every where I went and I could never go anywhere without the kids.then he could drill them for imformation to where we went.he would take the phone to work with him.my mother is deaf so calling was out of the question.then I got a job and found shorter routes and I went to see my family..man thank God I finally got out of that mess.

I for one DO watch Jimmy Swaggart and I believe we have ALL fell short of the glory of God.He repented twice,to the public and more times to God.he doesn't hide from what he did,he search for forgiveness and after much prayer he was able to face what he did.He talks about his failures and what lead to them.He has a very powerful message and I will contuine to listen to his teachings. also his son Donnie preaches more than he does now.Jimmy is about 72 now and Donnie is taking over the ministry. My brother-in-law<whom I love,is an agnostic/athestis.He asked me what I thought Faith was.he told him "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."..He said "that don't answer the question and I don't believe it that"..I said okay so you believe that you don't believe right?
