  1. That is what is missing from so many churches. Ministers seem not to know prophecy nor want to delve into current events and their relationship to end times. We are so very close to the rapture yet church members are oblivious to what the relationship of events at home and around the world mean to that special moment/event in time and history. We hear messages from the gospels but ignorance of Revelation and all other prophetic books is avoided.
  2. May God bless all of you and your churches that continue to follow our Lord and His teaching. What is missing today in the PCC is the message of the end times. The members may have an inner sense, God given, but the preaching and the ministry is lacking. The current adulation of the LGBT+ is something that I do not understand yet know that our enemy has turned the hearts of the people to him. We are looking at those in charge of the denomination willing to follow the world not what they made an oath to do. It is frustrating and heartbreaking but at the same time when one senses the absence of the Holy Spirit all is lost. The leadership will have much to answer. God did not abandon the people, the people abandoned God.
  3. I fully agree with you. Our church was just closed by the Presbytery because of a lack of attendance but it was brought about by the weak Session which was terrified of Covid and had struck attendance rules and the "Progressive" minister who was just installed prior to the C-19. Yes, the ministers lately have followed the liberal US churches an unless they preach the end times message there is no hope for the congregation to be prepared. Now without other perhaps more liberal churches to attend or Not to attend, our members have no Godly leader.
  4. Can a human body of flesh "suddenly appear in the room where the door is locked" and can the human body "rise" as Jesus did on the Mount of Transfiguration? Matt 17:2 and John 20:19
  5. Before Jesus died, Paradise was in Hell/Sheol which is told us when Lazarus and Abraham saw the rich man who asked if Lazarus would dip his finger in cool water and refresh him. There was a chasm between the 2 places. Jesus removed Paradise and the Old Testament Saints from Sheol and it is now in enlarged in Heaven. Also Jesus went to the place where the fallen Angels are chained (Tartarus) and showed Himself to them that He had defeated them.
  6. That is my point. Satan entered into the Garden and created the mess which we have today whether the air, the land or the water. Education to me does not enter into it so much as the greed by the ultra wealthy. They feel the lifestyle of the west is creating this CO2 issue which is nonsense since CO2 is needed for plant growth. Do not eat meat from animals only lab created meat. How is that good for the poor nations like Africa or India or any other in South America. What has made the difference in the West? The Protestant Work Ethic... which is now anathema...you cannot even speak of it. God, the Bible, missions, missionaries are all despised. God wants the best for everyone but Satan wants the opposite and uses willing men and women to do his dirty work. Thus we have hate, resentment and corruption in every aspect of life on earth and a willingness to subjugate others. This is all going to come to an abrupt end sooner than we can imagine and the One coming is going to make all things right. Then and only then will we see justice and peace on earth as the Father intended.
  7. Every nation/ empire/ people, going back to the beginning of time ( see your Bible) has/ have had servants/ slaves… skin colour does not indicate kindness, intellect, love for another or lack of greed, nor the desire to subjugate another, unless the love of God is in his heart. Satan is a master at turning one against another..he hates the good which God created… it is only through knowing His love and forgiveness that can change.
  8. If the Bible says Angels have wings and fly, as in Revelation, I believe they have wings. There is a hierarchy of angels and I do believe that they can take on human form so as not to cause us to bow down to worship them, as John did and was told not to do it. Regarding the heavenly music, I have not heard it, but in the last moments of my mother’s life, at approx. 9pm in the hospital, she broke out in what seemed amazingly more beautiful than operatic voice and joined in with the heavenly music or the angels singing that only she heard. I recall starting to say, “Mom, you’re going to….” (wake people). Then I stopped…thinking what am I saying? She is hearing heavenly music and is joining in… neither my sister nor I heard what she heard but we heard her join heaven’s music. So yes, I believe you. I have never heard music as beautiful as what she sang.
  9. The 4 living creatures are Angels who worship God day and night and have 6 wings. If the cherubim did not have wings why did God instruct that the cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant have wings. Until you see one yourself believe what is written in the Bible about all the ranks of angels would be my thought. To say they have no wings is false. They show themselves as one of us without wings so as not frighten us.
  10. Do not emphasize Jesus human nature over His portion in the Godhead. He knew that it was God the Father who was head. In heaven and when Jesus was on earth, there can be only one King. Jesus is Prince. His allegiance is to the Father and His will is subject to the Father. I believe that is why He said, ‘ when you pray, anything you ask the Father , in My Name, He will give it.’ That is why the Lord’s Prayer is so important. It is, Our Father, Who art in Heaven..’ . It is only when Jesus returns, from heaven to earth that He comes as King of kings and Lord of lords. Until then we pray to the Father, in Jesus name.
  11. But, where does it say He does not listen to their prayers?
  12. Hi DeighAnn, I am mystified by your answer. Could you be more specific?
  13. Where does it say that only after we accept Jesus, does God hear our prayers? If so, then a sinner’s prayer would never be heard.
  14. I am certain that the manner of prayer should not be judged. The disciples asked how to pray and Jesus gave us an example.. Our Father, Who art in heaven,,, I then address my prayers to the Father but always end in Jesus name because anything we ask the Father He will hear in His Son Jesus name.
  15. But, does not everyone view what is written through their life’s experiences..even their understanding of scripture as they are guided by the Holy Spirit? If one posts something they feel has merit and another sees something else.. why hurt feelings? One views a glass half empty another half full…you on your own cannot change their mind, let go and let God…if it is from Him He will whisper to their understanding.
  16. Once we accept Jesus as our Saviour, He becomes symbolically our Shepherd and we His sheep. He has a sheep fold and He is the Door to that fold. That door gives us access to eternal life through Him and Him alone. we live our lives and go out into the world following the example He set for us. Sometimes we stray into the areas of life we should avoid. As a Good Shepherd, He comes and reminds us we should not have anything to do with that life and draws us back to the safety of the fold. if we listen to His leading we find ourselves in green pastures but always return to Him knowing from where our refuge comes. So the world and our daily lives could be considered pastures or rocky hill sides…depending on where we choose to wander.
  17. That reminds me of the quote I was told as a young person. "Your actions speak louder than the words you speak." So very true for us as Christians. We try to talk to people but the life we live and our actions belie our words and where is our love?
  18. It's difficult to try to tell someone who is in love not to get closer. My best friend married a divorced man and no amount of explanation of scripture or logic worked. She married and when issues of finance and his family came up, though she was trying to be good to his children, there was the child care and his business that needed her support. She had a good income as a hight school teacher so she cosigned....you get the idea. She regretted her choice to marry but as a christian she stayed.. at cost to her. When love comes into play there is not one can say. If it would be a good union, and the choice to leave that person because they have been talked into it and the second choice is misery what do you say then? Tell him to pray about it and and to listen to the voice of God.... otherwise be there for him and support him if things go badly but don't say, "I told you!" Be the friend he needs..
  19. truer words were never spoken!
  20. We are getting a glimpse of the Tribulation time period but that is not the mark of the beast. if you think this is bad consider what it will be like then. The mark of the beast is on the hand to forehead a literal mark. No matter how difficult the times are now it is nothing like it will be.
  21. Check out the USGS site for earthquakes.
  22. According to Revelation… Revelation 19:8 New King James Version 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
  23. When Jesus, Who was sinless was made sin for us, we were made righteous. Because of His sacrifice, that blood covering is on us when we accept Jesus and our sins are forgiven. Just as the Passover blood is applied to the door posts and lintel, to cause the Angel of Death to pass over the Hebrew house, the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, is our Passover sacrifice. The blood of Jesus is applied through faith. Salvation is through the Blood of Jesus. Exodus 12:13 God says… When “I” see the blood, “I” will pass over you.. God the Father needs to see His Son’s blood on your life. I have Jesus’ blood covering on my life. That will be changes in heaven with white linen…the righteousness….ready for the wedding feast not before.
  24. If someone accepts Jesus then falls away that one must repent..there are many who were born again but chose to follow the world. Unless they repent can they enter heaven with filthy garments? Jesus was giving a parable about heaven and the bridal feast there.
  25. Consider this a metaphor. When we accept Jesus we are cleansed with Jesus’ blood. The Heavenly Father now sees the blood of Jesus when looking at us, not our sins which we’re atoned for by our Lord and Saviour. When we are at the wedding feast in heaven, we will be changed and given white linen clothes. The blood no longer seen only the new wedding clothes. If someone who accepted Jesus, then turned away from Him or never accepted Him, as Saviour, will that one have the blood covering exchanged for white linen? No. Why should he be permitted into heaven to the wedding feast of the Lamb? No! He would be cast into outer darkness to await the judgement.
