  1. Riighht. So you are depending on people's opinions as to what the SDA church teaches. I have seen a myriad of perspectives and opinions on justification and sanctification from people outside the SDA church, from mainline Christendom to Messianics...from orthodox to hardline Calvinist...so many opinions, arguments, debates, as I am sure you have seen for yourself, but tell me something. How many of those do you think would advocate that by ignoring the 10 commandments, even openly and or wilfully disobeying them, which the Bible calls sin, that anyone can still be saved? And did you check that those SDA folk coming here were actually teaching or depositing clearly our beluefs...not everyone is as eloquent and intellectually advanced as yourself. Does every Presbyterian fully understand Calvinism? Do you condemn all Presbyterians because some do not get the theology of justification by faith into words in a clear succinct manner?
  2. Have you actually read, prayed, and studied for yourself SDA fundamental beliefs or taken the word of others?
  3. KJV Matthew 24 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
  4. Is obedience to the 7th commandment a key salvational component you think? SDAs teach that obedience to all ten commandments are salvational. That the Sabbath is singled out by you as an exception is not an SDA problem, but yours. All I was asking on this thread was for a biblical foundation for allowing Sunday observance to be considered paramount over Sabbath observance. For what is essentially a tradition to take precedence over a commandment. Should be easy...surely there's plenty of "thus sayeth the Lord" quotes to support such a change? And if you say that the law is no longer binding, why do you not live as if they are not binding?
  5. People are.judged in accordance to how they respond to what light they have received, for without the law is no knowledge of sin.
  6. Mmmm. So, according to you as per the above quote, the tradition of Sunday observance is fine and appropriate because such tradition is more 'Christian' than keeping God's commandments. Matt 15:6?
  7. And it is statements like that that reveal the complete ignorance, perhaps wilful, of so many who claim wisdom on most everything else.
  8. After agreeing with everyone that all doctrine must be substantiated with scripture all of a sudden when asked the foundation of a central doctrine of the majority of churches: a doctrine upheld even by civil legislature, you say you don't need to defend it? Seriously?? As for the Sabbath being only for Israel, if you are not part of Israel you are not Christian. As for the SDA not being part of the kingdom of God, could you be a little more clear on that please? Do you mean the SDA church as an organisation, or are you referring to individual SDAs ....namely me? Finally, as for Sabbath observance being a litmus test for salvation, I am not sure what you are claiming here. Are you A. Saying that no-one, according to the SDA church will get to heaven except they observe the Sabbath? B. That by observing the Sabbath one earns his/her salvation? Or C. Both of the above,or something else? The reason I ask is because the average Christian while claiming great knowledge and insight on most matters are in fact woefully ignorant when it comes to what the SDA church actually teaches. Particularly so when the come charging out with such injudicious and uneducated accusations which include words such as 'cult' and 'heretic'. An example is the quote above which uses the words 'litmus test', as if no Sabbath observance, no salvation, which such dogmatic declaration my church does NOT teach. For example, even atheists may be in heaven ahead of many professing Christians. Think about that.
  9. Where is the "thus sayeth the Lord" that directly and succinctly counters the 4th commandment?
  10. I'll ignore the usual weak comeback, and ask you to defend Sunday observance from the scriptures....only...explaining why it should not be classified as one of the most widely accepted false doctrines in the church.
  11. If the Bible was truly the basis of doctrine and practice, there wouldn't be a Sunday observer in Christendom.
  12. So far so good. But very few actually believe these inspired words. Watch. They will modify them. Add caveats. Search for other texts which they 'claim' contradict this passage. But does the Bible contradict itself? Did the holy Spirit inspire two opposite concepts? They shall reveal their lack of faith in God's word by their refusal to accept this plain testimony.
  13. Hebrews 7:25 Though the ministration was to be removed from the earthly to the heavenly temple; though the sanctuary and our great high priest would be invisible to human sight, yet the discpiles were not disadvantaged in any way. They would experience no break in their communion, and no lessening of power because of the Saviour's absence. While Jesus ministers in the sanctuary above, He is still by His Spirit the minister of the church on earth. He may be invisible, but His parting promise is fulfilled, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:20. While He delegates His power to inferior ministers, His empowering presence is still with His church.
  14. Copied from fb friend poses some interesting challenges.... 1. Photos of several windows missing from lower floors. Consistent with iPhone videos of Taxi Driver and others showing gun flashes seen from lower floors. And consistent with reports of tow or mare machine guns of different make firing simultaneously. 2. Guest in Room next to Paddock’s 32 floor room FAST ASLEEP during shooting! and woken by swat team and told to leave before they broke into Paddock’s room. 3. None of the guests below or above Paddock’s 32 second floor or guests in the 31st or 33rd floors (heard?) or called front desk about shooting poses above or below them. 4. Swat team photos of the dead Paddock show new fresh bullets ON TOP OF THE BLOOD around his head. Not possible if he was a lone shutter or shot himself through the mouth. 5. Every inch of the Mandalay and it’s hall ways are installed with security cameras and watched in a command room 24-7 but no one in security saw Paddock install security cameras outside of the room he booked to alert him of anyone’s approach to his room. 6. None of the staff has made a statement of what they may have seen or heard during the 10 minutes of shooting? Gag order by FBI or Antifa supporting CEO? 7. Another JKF cover up of Deep State involvement with a fall Guy? Edited: Deleted video - Videos are only allowed in the video section of the forum
  15. I would not consider .308 heavy no...used a sawn off .308 pig hunting a life-time ago. But I haven't seen a detailed inventory of what was found. I was going by some of the video clips and what sounded like .50 caliber. Which is really why I was asking these questions.
  16. Okay. Thinking. Signs everywhere that the birth pangs are becoming more frequent and more intense. The second coming is drawing closer. So. Question. What to do. Study the signs deeper and write books on it? Focus on every fad and fashion in the Christian last events jumble sale? Enter into intense heated debate on the fine details of prophecy so as to pinpoint with greater accuracy the time to get ready?? Friends, we know the time is near. We do not know the exact day or hour, but we have been promised that we will not be left in the dark like the people in the world? KJV Luke 21 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. KJV 1 Thessalonians 5 Be Ready for Christ's Return 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. The way of safety is not only in the watching. It lies also in being sober. Spiritually sober. Not drunk with the wine of Babylon. KJV Isaiah 29 9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. 10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. KJV Jeremiah 51 7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Spiritual Babylon this is speaking of. KJV Revelation 17 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Don't be distracted and lose focus on the cornerstone of our salvation. Yes, signs are important. But God has given them for a purpose. They aren't intended to simply give us clairvoyant understanding of the future which I see many Christians striving for. No. They are intended to compel us to a greater consecration to Jesus. It is time friends to spend more time with Him. More time in His word. Not only to search for signs and numbers to predict the time of His coming, nor to prove yourself the winner in doctrinal debating....but to prepare our characters....to get rid of the sin in our lives....to dispel the worldly lusts and selfishness from the soul. Those are the things that should have our attention so that we will not be overcome by the sophistries, false doctrines and lies of the growing Babylonian apostasy even now taking control of those asleep and living in darkness.
  17. This is an extension to the question, "if God is omnipotent and omniscient, why didn't He step on Lucifer before all the trouble began? Why bother even creating Lucifer to begin with if God knew what would ultimately result? Have you ever studied the topic of theodicy? The concept of good stuff happening to bad people, and vice versa? The debate over precisely what you were being challenged on above comes under that study of theodicy. It is a deep study, and takes some time and effort to grasp the concepts involved, but I believe you will find it enlightening. While it does involve free-will, as you mentioned some time previously, it goes deeper and explains WHY free-will is so important to God. In fact it's essential. On many levels. Here's an excellent presentation on theodicy...I think you will find a basis for answering your question after taking this into account.
  18. Thanks. Yes, a big target despite the added difficulty of a descending trajectory which affects accuracy. I agree that he had to have had some form of practice...how he did so considering the heavy caliber of gun...the numbers...without attracting the attention of anyone....arms retailers/neighbors/friends/ etceludes me. As for motive? That's actually the easy part. He may not have been an alt-right card-carrying antifa extremist.... He may not have been a left wing socialist Trump hater.... He may not have been a government CIA stool pigeon... Or an Illuminati Satan worshiper... Or a UN Luciferian Jesuit Marxist/Leninist revolutionary Zionist libertarian narcisisstic anarchist.... he may not have even been insane.... But what he was, and fulfilling every single purpose of any one of the above, he was, without any shadow of doubt, demon possessed. Which explains motive and continues the same narrative being played out in society the world over...divide: create conflict, confusion, divided loyalties, debate, rub sides against one another creating friction...spark...fire. Antithesis/thesis. Then have your chosen One to step in and put the fire out. Synthesis. Antichrist. Society is being conned and manipulated by proponents of globalism and the NWO and Satan, if he can't use agencies to do his bidding such as ISIS or the Vatican or the CIIA, He will do it personally. Either way folks it isn't a time to point fingers and play their blame game...stay out of the politics which is their home ground, and cleave to your Savior. Your only hope.
  19. Posted and asked this ⬆⬆a couple pages back, would really like some answers. Any servicemen got some good sound knowledge that can answer the above? 24 weapons and several hundred rounds of ammo is a heck of a weight for an unfit older fella. And the knowledge base? How did he know how to dismantle and assemble weapons for transport through a casino hotel of all places!!
  20. I haven't read all 29 pages, so forgive me if this question is a repeat. To any military servicemen on this group. I know something of firearms, me being a hunter in my younger years and my father and grandfather being gunsmiths and both expert marksmen. But I know nothing of heavy caliber automatic weapons of the type used in this attack. So, my question. Could a64 yo unfit inexperienced retired accountant with no military training whatsoever pull this off alone? Second question, if not, then who, and could it be possible that that responsible person did the damage leaving a dead body as a patsy?
  21. 30 or so years ago one of the most devastating tackles in our national rugby team was asked how he harmonized that aspect of his game with his very open Christian faith. His answer... It is more blessed to give than to receive.
  22. I find it interesting that it is thought that sin in the OT was only temporarily covered. What of Elijah, Enoch, and Moses? They are with God in glory so surely their sins are forgiven? Their sins, were they not, transferred in type to the sacrificial animal before the altar? Then the sins, which were symbolically carried into the temple and transferred to the holy place through the sprinkling of the blood. Then on the day of atonement the tabernacle was cleansed ... KJV Leviticus 16 23 And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there: 17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel. 18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about. 19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel. 20 And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat: 21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: 22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. Those inquiries and sins confessed upon the live goat comprised all the sins that had accumulated in the temple over the previous year. Thus in my mind, so long as the people had confessed every sin that they were consciously aware of, and made sacrifice, they were forgiven. But a record of their sins were "still in the books" so to speak. Our sins are recorded in the books of heaven. Yeshua our High Priest is now officiating in the heavenly sanctuary and when He comes we will know that the true Yom Kippur will have come to a close ...the books in heaven will be cleared of all that is recorded there regarding our past sins. That is not the end of them though. They were first carried to heaven into the sanctuary by the Priest, Yeshua, after they were laid upon Him at the cross. (Passover). His offering was accepted when He rose from the dead (wave offering) , He was annointed King and High Priest at pentecost 50 days later, and the antitypical day of atonement which was the next holy day on the calender is going on as we live. Yeshua has already borne our sins and paid the price of our redemption. He does not bear them again after transferring them symbolically to the heavenly sanctuary. The live goat is Satan. After the sanctuary is cleansed Satan must bear his responsibility as the accuser and tempted of the brethren...he must accept his share of the guilt in our sin and it is a strong angel who binds him in the wilderness 1000 years until his destruction. Then remains only one unfulfilled feast day...the feast of tabernacles which we celebrate together at the consummation of all things. Of course I am aware this version of events may arouse some criticism...that's okay ...I see things a little different from most and I understand most believe the scapegoat to be Yeshua. I happen to think that scenario cannot harmonize with the type/antitype methodology.
  23. KJV 1 Peter 3 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. Read the context folks. First off, ask yourself some questions. 1. How was this good news (gospel) preached? Answer...by the Spirit (but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;) 2. To whom was the gospel preached? Answer...the contemporaries of Noah at the time of the building of the ark. (Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing,) 3. When was this preaching done? Answer same as 2. The days of Noah. Conclusion. By the power of the Spirit of Christ in Noah he preached the gospel to the people of his day (2 Peter 2:5) offering them forgiveness and salvation from the impending flood. Those people were shut up in the prison of sin but are now dead.
  24. Regards the ark of the covenant however...that is something that simply has to be taken at the guys word. What Wyatt saw has been sealed...much like the Saudi side of the Red Sea.
  25. A friend of mine who lived just up the road has travelled extensively throughout the Middle East and has persoally confirmed all Ron Wyatt's discoveries. My friend, Ross Patterson, runs seminars showing the evidence. There are several you tube clips of his available. There are two recent ones with a compelling testimony which deal with the Red Sea crossing and Mt Sinai. I understand peoples reluctance to accept Wyatts theories, after all, he was a Seventh Day Adventist. Cant have one of them amateur archeologists stealing the show from the pros now can we?
