  1. I think especially back then if one cut off his hand or both he would bleed to death which might equate to suicide. I feel sure Jesus did not want that. I think in those verses I posted he is trying to save the body of Church. If the eye represents vision then that may fall on the Pastor. the right hand may be the Sunday School Director and so on.
  2. Matt 5 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. That is why I think these two verses refer to the body of the church to clean house if need be. Not to the physical body. I don't think God wants one to pluck out both eyes and both feet and both hands.
  3. Phil 1 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  4. I agree. I for one think I could not live properly under the Old Covenant and Old law I would fail miserably.
  5. Yes I I said that. I do not think I could past the test under the OC OL. Now under the NC NL I honestly feel I have a good chance
  6. I don't under stand;; this;; I wouldn’t say it was a new way,
  7. I may be one of the few. My understanding is Jesus mainly done two things as far as teaching goes.. One was to go in the synagogue every sabbath and reason with an teach he was the One to Come. And show them about the NC because they were not able to follow the complete old Covenant properly. Seems they rejected both teachings. The second thing he did was to appoint and teach disciples to teach and spread the New Covenant and the New Laws because no one could abide by All the old Law properly. We should be Grateful that Jesus decided to give an easier way to get into Heaven than the Old Covenant. Now the New Covenant is clear the old law and even the 10 commandments do not apply to the New Covenant. The Old Covenant is left in tact for those that wanted stay under it and follow all 613 laws. The New Covenant is not obligated to follow any of the Old Law. That said many things in the Old Law is worth following by one heart not by obligation to the Old law. I up for correction if needed.
  8. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  9. I have not heard of Unshackle. of course I traveled a lot for work for years.
  10. Sorry this gave you the idea that I think sin after being saved is no problem. What those verses means the opposite of what you think
  11. Hebrews 10 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
  12. helium is not abundant on earth, I've read, and it has a lot of uses so I wonder if they can capture this produced helium?
  13. The only time I was able to go to the fair (12) as a child we went in a tent to see their Giant and I remember he took off his ring and could put a 50 cent coin through it . pretty big finger.
  14. 1 Peter 5: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
  15. It would be nice if that applied to new Christians who have No formal training and still on milk.
  16. I wonder what kind of waste they are creating that they do not know how to handle or what to do with it.
  17. Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
  18. I thought everyone now were pushing the + or ++ or +++ size ?
  19. Ok now I understand your meaning. How about this thought man was made on day 6. the 24 hour clock started on day 6. Before day 6 man did not exist so there was no need for a 24 hour clock. the time in the first 5 days could have been in Gods time which is quite different than 24 hour days.
  20. You lost me completely we were talking about (one day like 1000 yr) To God. Psa 90:4 I thought was in line with @ Peter 3:8 Not sure how your verses fit? 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
