  1. No, nothing in pitcular. we've been here long enough to see most threads go in a circle. most doctrinal questions go in a circle. The same positions explained, by different people almost the same way, using the same verses. Christ is truth! he is not divided. Which I take to mean that if me and you are discussing a subject, and don't agree, then one of us is not speaking God's truth. I've made so many mistakes in my life, that I've learned it's easier to just submit to Christ daily, seeking his truth, examining myself in light of his word. I guess my point with this thread is simple, Christ didn't speak his opinion, he said he only spoke and did what he saw and heard from the father. That's exactly what the Old testament saints did. Also it's what the apostles did. They spoke only that which they recieved directly from Christ. When the ocasion arose that they were unsure about something, they come together as one, and prayed and sought the Lord until they knew they had gotten the answer from Christ himself ( the issue of gentile curcumcission is what I'm refering to). I make a lot of mistakes, but it just seems that everytime I turn on a gospel program, or listen to another believer speak, or read a post here, that What I'm hearing is coming from that persons understanding. The men and women of the bible didn't do that but instead relied upon the Holy Spirit and God the Father and Christ completely for there understanding. I don't know if I've been clear...I hope so. I'm just curious what God has revealed to others about not leaning to our own understanding. I strongly believe if we are both in touch with the same truth, the same Christ, and he is the source of all of our understanding, then our opinions and understandings should be the same, but that's not the case, so then why the different opinions?
  2. The word of God states very clearly and very bluntly that we are NOT to lean to our own understanding, Proverbs 3:5. So why is it, that's exactly what so many of us do? Even up here on worthy, Isn't that what we all do here, each discussing our opinion, our understanding, and in some cases getting upset when someone don't agree with it. As I read and study the word, I see more and more that Old and New testament saints alike, just like jesus spoke and did only what they got directly from God. When they did things or spoke things on there own is normally when sin happened. If the word of God, or maybe just prophecy is not up for private interputation, and we are not to lean on our own understanding then much if not most of believers are in serious error. What has God led each of you too, in regards to Lean not to your own understanding?
  3. Consider me a little biais if you want to, .....but I like it! God bless you all Firestormx
  4. 1 Cor. 8:1 knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
  5. Brother, Please try to remember that Christ didn't come to condemn you but that through him you might be saved. If you feel condemned then it is not because of Christ, but the enemy. The bible also says For if we confess our sins Christ is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins. From what you have written you have done this. so just trust our Lord. Christ loves you enough that he died for you. Do you not understand salvation? Your not saved because of you or anything you have done. Your saved because of Christ. No works can save you, only Christ. You have failures, Christ does not, and your salvation is of Christ. Never forget, No matter what you will ever do wrong, or no matter what you'll ever get right, either way it don't affect your salvation. Why? because your salvation is not dependant upon you. Your salvation is of Christ. Isn't that wonderful, We can't mess up enough where God will not love us anymore. Want proof? Christ said that those that were saved were in his and the father's hand, and that HE WOULD LOSE NONE! that's scripture. Yes we must repent, yes it's true, we can't willfilly live in sin. but you tell me what matters more to GOD, and mistake in the flesh, or a heart full of repentance and love for Christ. Christ loves you. Focus on him and what he can and is doing for you. Don't let the enemy or yourself condemn you. If Christ dosen't condemn you, then who is the enemy to condemn you? Who are you to condemn yourself since Christ dosen't condemn you. our Lord is faithful, loving, merciful, full of grace and truth. Focus on Christ and his love for you. Accept his love and forgiveness. I will keep praying for you. God bless you. P.S. I don't know if your a parent or not. But i am. I know that there is nothing, no 1 mistake that my children can make that would cause me not to love them anymore. How much more God?
  6. First and foremost, remember God loves you. Christ promised he will never leave you and that he has overcome the world. If we ask Christ for forgiveness from our heart then we are forgiven. I noticed something in your post I hope you don't mind if I point out. But please remember, Pointing out God's love for you is my goal. You kept saying in this post over and over again, that YOU fight agaisnt the sin. That YOU are tierd of the battle. That YOU are tierd of losing. Let me ask you a question. If you had any chance of defeating sin, then what do you need Christ for? My point here is simple, as long as your fighting the battle, how can Christ. If your trying to defeat the sin, How can Christ. My advice is simple. Trust Christ to do what he promised. Christ loves you so much. He wants to transform you into his likeness. For you to be with him forever. Yes, we must resist sin. But remember the verse, SUBMIT TO GOD, resist the devil and he will flee. It sounds like your trying to resist, but have yet to submit this all to GOD. Submit to God in prayer, reading of the word, fellowship with other believers. Trust God and the finished work of Christ to defeat the sin. Humble yourself before God. THEN resist the devil. Remember, if your focus is on your sin, how can it be on Christ? Focus all your heart, mind, spirit, and strength on Christ. Focus on him. Christ already has this battle won. He just needs you to trust him with it. Bring all thoughts into captivity. Don't let the enemy fool you. No matter what the sin, you always have a choice. You can't be forced to sin. You have a choice. Christ loves you. Choose Christ. Instead of the sin, read your bible, or pray, or speak to a fellow believer. When the temptation comes, ( knowing that your Lord and Savior loves you ) , get down on your knees and pray and seek him until you know you are in his very presence. Don't let anything get in the way. Seek him and you will find him. I hope maybe this will in some way lead you unto a closer walk with Christ our Lord, and the Victory that is only in him. You will be in my prayers. May God bless and keep you in his perfect peace. P.S. He accepts you just as you are. Let him change you and conform you into his likeness, and Remember he loves you. 7. Really? Wow, I have never heard that. that has really blown my mind. I can't believe someone would say that. The thief on the cross never spoken in tongues and he went to heaven. I've always thought of the work of the Holy Spirit as 2 sepreate works, 1 at salvation one at recieving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Which is why Christ blew on the disciples and said recieve the Holy Spirit ( when they got saved ) , and then told them to tarry until they recieve power from on high. ) That Everyone who has been saved has the Holy Spirit within, and everyone who has the Baptism of the holy spirit has the Holy Spirit within and upon both. Which is why the bible talks about having the Holy Spirit upon and within , because there 2 differant things. The differance being both are saved, 1 is empowered for service 1 is not. I can't imagine how that must make someone feel. Sevenseas I hope nobody ever made you feel like that. God bless
  8. I like the way you put this, I have not thought of it like that before.
  9. I would say. Baptism is not required for salvation, but evidance of Belief. The thief on the cross beside jesus is a good example. Christ said he would be with him in paradise and he could not get baptised. There's nothing in the bible that says he was baptised, he just believed. But, peter himself mentioned being baptised on the day of penacost. So clearly it's important, but I would think heart felt repentance and acceptance and Belief in Christ would be enough.
  10. Well, the Bible is there for all to read and I believe it is complete as to what is going to happen and is happening but I certainly do not believe it is the end And yes I believe God can and does give specific direction, but there are too many self made prophets proclaiming absolutely lunatic things....you can read them on the web...prophecies saying that there will be a huge spiritual awakening, Christians are going to take over, Obama is God's man (I believe he is a nothing of the sort), and all sorts of revelations about angels and the spiritual dimension that are, IMO, straight out of hell There are thousands and thousands of people believing in these things and they are not godly. Thanks ...I appreciate being able to talk with you... I agree that there are a lot of people believing things that are just not true. That don't line up with the bible. But sometimes the info is correct the person just understands it wrong. Take for instance my old thread BE WARNED. I believe it was you that tried to tell me that maybe it was personal, or about me and my friend and family and not the world. But I wouldn't listen. I have come to see that there is a good chance you were right. I was taught a humbling lesson from all that, which was he shows us bits and pieces. Nobody sees the whole picture but GOD. But as we true believers come together as one body in untiy and love, and his truth, the picture becomes much more clear. The bible teaches we are to submit ourselves one to another. Anything we recieve of GOD, or think we do, then as we share it with other believers, the Spirit of GOD should bare witnesses of him and his truth. If correction is needed then we should submit ourselves and recieve it for our own good. Nobody is right all the time except GOD. I learned a couple hard lessons from that thread but important ones. Thanks for the talk. I have really enjoyed it. May the most high Father and Yahshua bless you
  11. Thank you for making that plain and simple , so I could understand. I completely agree with what you spoken, expect that I think that GOD does and will show his children what he's about to do. either as a personal warning or as a general warning. other than that I agree with you. Very well written. Thanks again for making that so simple and plain that someone like me could understand. May the Father and Yahshua bless and keep you
  12. I would agree with this. The olny specfic NT referance to a prophet that I can think of is of the prophet who had come in after paul had, and without knowing who's girdle it was, picked up a girdle he saw, bound his own hands, and said the owner of the girdle would be bound and taken to rome. Paul had already been told this by Christ himself. GOD used the prophet amongst other believers to confirm what Christ himself had already told someone. Scripture backs up this statement.
  13. Prasie GOD! reading this was a blessing, glory to GOD.
  14. Gary, Although the prophets of old clearly made mistakes, there words were always accuarte 100%. Because they were GOD's words and not the person's. That don't mean a prophet won't make mistakes, But they they will speak what they are told to speak, not what they think, feel or believe. Like Christ a true prophet only speaks what he hears and sees from the father. Also, remember this, think of david in the bible. David was chosen by GOD at an early age to be king. But david did not actually become king for years and years. My point is simple, just because GOD has chosen someone to be a Prophet, dosen't mean there a Prophet right now. What is the gift of prophecy? Is not the when someone speaks a prophecy, what are they doing? prophesying! Which all believers can do. That don't mean someone is a prophet. The Holy spirit can use any gift through anyone at any time he chooses. But the Holy spirit will operate or manifest the revelation gifts very consistantly through a prophet. Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, prophecy, discernment of spirits. These are some of the revelation gifts. You'll find as you study the word, that these gifts, and them manifesting is one of the markers of a true prophet. look back at any of the biblical prophets and you can see these gifts. GOD can choose to let these gifts manifest at anytime, through anyone. But a true prophet will have the Holy Spirit manifest these gifts on a very consistant basis. The likes of which can't be faked. Because it's the Holy Spirit manifesting these things. therefore a true prophet will always be in line with GOD's word. Dueteronomy 18:20-22 NIV But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.” You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed A true prophet has to be 100% accuarte, GOD don't change. It will be GOD's words and not his own. Someone can be chosen to be a prophet but not yet ministering as a prophet. Just as David was chosen to be king, but it was many years before he actually become king. i hope this is a little more clear. May GOD bless you
  15. I believe a biblical prophet is someone chosen by GOD himself to fulfill the office or calling of a prophet. No one can make someone a prophet but GOD. Also a true prophet will be 100% accuarte in the things they speak, because all there words will be GOD's and not there own. I believe them being 100% accuarte is very important, because it is the test given by GOD in the old testament. I believe a true prophet will be used by GOD to encourage others, to speak the truth and heart of GOD, as they walk in the spirit and power of GOD. I do believe there can be prophets today. But I don't think I've ever seen one. Because I've never seen soemone 100% accuarte the way the biblical prophets were, neither have I seen someone walking in the spirit and power of a prophet. I believe all may prophesy, just as all may recieve dreams and visions, all my have a close relationship with Christ, but this don't make a prophet. A prophet is specificlly chosen by GOD to carry a specific message to his people or the lost.Without listing a lot of verses, this is what I think the basics of a prophet are. Maybe I could have been more specific about verses, but I figured if I just spoke from the heart, it would give a beetter idea of what I truly feel. May Christ keep you at perfect peace.
  16. The focus of every believer should be Christ. Developing a closer relationship with him and allowing GOD if he so chooses to help others do the same by speaking his truth and not our own. The bible is very important in regards to this. For if something does not line up with the bible, then it is not to be hearkened to. I don't view sharing what you believe in your heart GOD himself told you, as the bible not being enough, but having a living relationship with a living GOD who does speak to his children. Sometimes in the bible, sometimes in dreams or visions, sometimes with an inner witness. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. The above verse is clear that not only will the Holy Spirit speak to us, but he will show us things to come. This is something for every believer, not just prophets. 1 Cor. 14:29-32 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. Paul in the given verse above is giving clear instruction on how it is to be given in the church. but notice he said " you can all prophesy". He didn't say all were prophets. For we are told in 1 Cor. 14:1 to seek the gift of prophesy. Paul does not say this is signs and wonders. Niether would GOD tell us to do something wrong, but we are told to seek to prophesy. Amos 3:7 NIV Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The Lord GOD does not change. He required a blood offering for the remission of sin on mount Siani. He requires a blood offering for sin today. Instead of the blood of animals, we now have Christ. GOD required a blood sacrifice then and he does now. GOD don't change. He says in the above verse that he will do nothing without showing it to his servents the prophets. The difference is because of christ and his sacrifice as stated above in John 16:13, all believers can be be shown what is to come. I will give you there are alot of people saying a lot of things that are just not true. That just don't line up with the scripture. but that doesn't mean it's not real sometimes, or doesn't happen at all. I have 3 questions for you if you don't mind. 1st, My impression is that you are very opposed to any kind of prophecy or dream or vision that someone says come from GOD if it's a warning of any kind, Is there a reason for this? 2nd, What is your understanding of what makes someone a prophet? 3rd, If speaking prophecy and dreams and visions about warnings or anything else is not of GOD, atleast alittle, then why is the devil so intent on sending so many false prophets. If there are no real prophets, why the need of the enemy to put out so many false prophets? In case your curious, no I'm not a prophet. I just seem to be given a lot of dreams and visions. But I don't think this in any way qaulifies me as a biblical prophet according to the bible. Thank you for your time and may the Father and Christ keep you at perfect peace.
  17. John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. 1 Corinthians 13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. True unity in Christ has to start with the love of GOD. Until we can Love each other and our eniemies just as Christ loved us, there will never be unity. May the Most high Father and Yahshua Bless and keep you all
  18. Hi Ronnie, First, I want to remind you, your salvation is of christ, not of man. You are not saved because of what you have done right or wrong, you are not saved because a man said so, but because of the finished work of Christ. You are saved because of Christ's life, death, ressurection and ascension, period. Your salvation is in Christ and his presious blood, who can take you out of his hand? None! 2nd, GOD did not give us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. Christ does not condem you, but instead he loves you. 3rd, Christ said we are to speak the truth in love. When they spoke this to you, did they also tell you to turn from sin and back to GOD? Did it come with the loving assurance that if we confess our sins Christ is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sin? If not then it was not spoken in accordance with the bible. Lastly, I just want to encourage you to fix your eyes on Christ. Man will always let us down. It's very easy to look up to someone we think is so spiritual and has to be so close to GOD. But if your eyes are on a man then there not on christ. Remember, love the Lord thy GOD with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Has it crossed your mind that maybe one of the reasons the Lord allowed this was so you could realize, how much your eyes were on man and how much they were on christ. Put your eyes on Christ no one can take you out of his hand. Pour your heart out to GOD, because he alone can heal your wounded and broken heart. GOD alone will never let you down. Remember ronnie, the true love of GOD never humilates, it always edifies and draws you closer to Christ. Hold on to Christ and his love and you'll be ok. May the most HIgh GOD, and Christ bless and keep you in perfect peace.

  24. Regardless of how we vote or our personal political affilation, what is really going to get better with this election? From a christian point of view neither party is right. It's not a matter of degrees, or this party is not as bad as that party. Wrong is wrong and evil is evil. Both parties have allowed greed to be acceptable, following idol worship to be encouraged, Christ to be removed from the public arena, and done nothing to stop sex and violence to be celebrated. Both parties have had a part in this country turning the direction away from Christ. So what exactly do you think for better or worse will change with this election? Is there any hope this country will turn back to Christ? P.S. If anyone is curious, I'm an Independent and not sure. Still praying on this, A muslim sympathizer or a ultra-rich flip flopper, either way tough choice.
  25. First I just want to remind you how much Christ loves you, and how he has a purpose for you. GOD will never tell you to do something and not let you pray and seek him on it first. So thats my first advice to you. Seek GOD on this as you clearly have been doing. Stay at the feet of christ. Not for answers, not for any selfish reason at all, but just to draw closer to him. Seek him first, and his will and desire for your life will become clear. Someone earlier said that it's satan that wants you to rush. I agree. take your time, pray and seek GOD and he will show you the way. As for the whole marriage, single, or not single question. I have always been told, by almost everyone around me, that when jesus said that the only expection for remarriage was fornication ( KJV ) , that fornication clearly meant sex before marriage. I prayed and fasted. read my bible and sought GOD with all my heart and the only answer i got to start with was peace in my heart over the issue. But no specific answer. A short time later, is when he started taking me into the greek and hebrew. The whole marriage question I started seeking him about 10 years ago. Recently he showed me 1 Cor. 5:1. In that verse Paul uses the word fornication 2 times. In the greek it's the same word also that Christ used in the verse about marriage. but in 1 Cor. 5:1 it's clearly used in regards to incest, so prematial sex can't be the only definiton of the word. My point in saying all this is just that after all these years of seeking Christ on this issue he still continues to teach me more and more as I keep him as my focus. That's what I would recommend. Just keep Christ as your focus, and let GOD minister his truth to you. Remember, GOD's love will correct us, imbrace us, cover us but it will never condemn us or humilate us. GOD could have put him in your life for many reasons. Only GOD can tell you why. Don't give up, don't give in. Stand strong in the power of his might, remembering he did not give us a spirit of fear, but of love power and a sound mind. The Holy Spirit will lead you in to all truth. May the peace and love of GOD be with you always.
