  1. Jesus was absolutely clear in Scripture. Jesus said that if we love him we will obey. Living in constant sin is not obeying God. He also said We would know people by their fruit. That nobody who lived in unrepented sin ( sexual sin for example ) would go to heaven. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Have you read the above verses? That is God's Judgement, not mine or any other Christians. It is written in the word of God for all to see. How could anybody claim to truly love God, Knowing that the above verses are GOD'S JUDGEMENT and say nothing to those people it would apply to like thieves, drunks or homosexuals? How is it loving your neighbor as yourself to see the fruit of sin and say nothing when scripture is clear on what is the consequences of our choice to live in rebellion to God? You shall know them by their fruit! An apple tree doesn't produce oranges. A Christian will stumble, will fall and will make mistakes but will not live an unrepentant life in sin and rebellion. How is it that if you love a child and you see it doing something that will hurt or destroy that child, then the loving thing to do is to warn them and try to stop and teach that child the danger they are putting themselves in. But if a Christian tries to do the same thing to someone facing eternal damnation then suddenly it's not an act of love but of hate and judgment?
  2. Do you see Joel 2:31 as the same thing as Matthew 24:29-31 and the sixth seal? I ask because I do see them as the same thing and Joel 2:31 clearly and bluntly says this event must happen BEFORE the day of the Lord and Matthew 24:29-31 says this event happens before we are gathered to be with Jesus. Just trying to understand how you see these verses ( especially Joel 2:31 ) fitting into this statement above.
  3. I read the info at the link. You have given me a lot to think about. Thanks for taking the time to explain a little further. To tell you where I am coming from, I have always believed the event in Matthew 24:29 is the talking about the rapture and the event in Matthew 25 is talking about the second coming. In Matthew 24 only the elect is gathered to Jesus whereas in Matthew 25 all nations are gathered to Jesus. In Matthew 24 Jesus is still the Son of man but in the Matthew 25 event, Jesus is the King. I believe those 2 things make a big difference. Thanks for the chat, God Bless Firestormx Joseph
  4. I have never considered the phases of the moon in regards to these verses. I have always believed the event in Matt 24 was the same as the 6th seal and Joel 2:31. What about the 4th trumpet? It is also very similar to the event described in Matt 24:29. Are you saying that all of these events are different? That the almost same event will happen 4 times? That it will happen once as it says In Joel 2:31, once in Matthew 24:29, once for the 6th seal and then again with the 4th trumpet? If you could explain where Joel 2:31 which clearly states will happen before the day of the lord, and Matt 24:29 which happens before the sign of Christ appears and how they fit into revelation , then I would be grateful. If you covered this and I missed it then I apologize please point me to the correct post and I will reread it. For clarity on my position I believe the 6th seal and the 4th trumpet are 2 different events With the event in Joel, Matthew and the 6th seal all describing the same event as seen by 3 different people. I could be wrong, as I said, the phases of the moon has never once occurred to me.
  5. "The people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" (Daniel 9:26). Above is a line from the verse in Daniel 9:26. Below is a link to a VERY long article. My question is If anyone knows of anything to refute the information on the page in the link. I have always believed that the verse above ( that line especially ) is talking about those who are the Anti-Christs people and therefore an indication of where the Anti-Christ will rise up from. I was hoping someone could take the time to read the article in full ( it's very long I know, sorry) and discuss anything to confirm or deny this position and the " facts " that they put forth. I can find nothing to refute what they are saying. Looking for someone to see if there is something wrong with the facts they present about the makeup of the people who destroyed the temple in 70 AD that I missed. I invite any and all discussion on this ( Anti-Christ and his people) just please read the article at the link first. http://www.hope-of-israel.org/peopleofprince.html Thank you and God bless Firestormx
  6. I know of one. We lived in Alaska when I was a kid. During one of the services, the spirit moved and my mother began speaking in tongues. Nothing out of the usual for my mom or the church. No interpretation was given during the service and the service moved on. After the service was over we were approached by these people. One of them began to speak to my mom in a language I didn't understand. My mom explained she didn't understand them or the language they were speaking. It turns out this family wanted to be in church. But there was an older woman with them that spoke no English and wasn't saved. She was a native Eskimo and that was the only language she spoke. They told my mom that when she stood up and spoke in the service that she had spoken in this Eskimo's native language perfectly, talking about Jesus and the salvation that is only in him. You can choose to believe this very true story or not but God can speak through any of his children who will submit and let him. Speaking in tongues is nothing more then the Holy Spirit Giving the utterance or words ( Acts 2:4 ). The source of the utterance or words is God, not the mind or experience or heart of the person speaking.
  7. Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. I write this to try to help you understand what happened and why. Notice the verse above. Pretty strange wording don't you think? They spoke, as the Holy Spirit gave utterance. They spoke, Holy Spirit gave utterance. What is the difference between speaking and utterance as written in this verse? Simple, They spoke or began to speak simply means they gave the sound. Utterance means words. They gave the sound, and the Holy Spirit gave the words. That means that the utterance given by the Holy spirit is divine Utterance because it comes from the Holy Spirit and not man. Think of it like this. Doesn't the bible say Prophecy is more desirable than tongues expect someone interrupt? Why? Because nobody would understand what is spoken without an interruption. But if there is an interruption, then tongues is equal to prophecy. How can tongues with an interruption be equal to prophecy if they both were not divine utterance? The simple answer is this. We open our mouths in faith, giving joyful noise unto the Lord from our heart. When we do this, in faith, sometimes the Holy Spirit will give the utterance or the words.
  8. I'm not talking verses but the post I quoted. But I should thank you for one thing. God used your posts to show me a couple days ago, that the entire works based salvation is all based on pride. The person's actions have to matter, they have to count. It's all about pride and ego. Everything about works based salvation is about Pride and ego. The insults and sarcasm in some of the posts above further prove this point, IMHO. I'm done. May you draw closer to Jesus and walk always with him.
  9. How is anything in this post fulfilling the verse to Love one another as Jesus has loved us? How is this insulting post fulfilling the verse that says Love is the fulfilling of the law? I reported this post for breaking the TOS.
  10. We are saved by Grace through faith, Period! We are not saved by works or any of our own effort. Jesus and his sacrifice save us, Faith in Jesus. But if you are saved, you can not and will not live any way you want to. You will not murder or rape or steal or live any lifestyle of sin. You will obey God and his word if you are saved, and saved by Grace through faith in Jesus alone. Think of it like this. We are fruit trees. Jesus is the gardener. God has a garden ( kingdom of God, Salvation ). There is nothing we can do to plant ourselves ( salvation ) in God's garden. The gardener ( Jesus ) must plant us in his Garden ( save us ). Now if we have been planted in God's Garden ( His kingdom, Salvation ), then there is no way we can do anything but produce good fruit ( works, obey ). I hope this helps.
  11. 2 Timothy 3:1-7 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
  12. If I am not mistaking the bible say Israel, not Jerusalem. Besides, they have already agreed to divide God's land when the state of Israel was reformed and they drew up the boundaries they did and everyone agreed.
  13. Israel is already divided. There are many nations living and claiming land that God says belongs to Israel.
  14. It's Star wars the Old republic. It's an online game
  15. I do like that scripture. Nice post! Agree completely. It starts with faith!
  16. I was hoping someone here could help me with the validity of the article I will post a link to below. The article is about the land God gave Abraham and Israel. It even has a picture showing the land that should and will eventually belong to Israel. Any other insights or additions anyone could add to this would be appreciated. http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/whos-occupying-lets-look-gods-original-land-grant-israel-abraham/
  17. Jedi are supposed to do and be guided by others first and not think of themselves first, just like Christians . Where as those on the dark side are motivated by selfish gain and self , just like most worldly people.
  18. Jedi covenant is the server I am on. I started on that server in early 2013 been there ever since. I tried to play on harbinger but just lost interest cause everyone I play with is on JC. Great to see another who plays.
  19. I would never have thought I'd find another Swtor player here at worthy...lol. That is so awesome!
  20. I love star wars. I even spend a little of my free time playing an online mmo star wars game called "Star Wars The Old Republic " or SWTOR for short. I kind of think this is one of those work out your own salvation issues. If it is a problem for someone around me then I won't talk about it or bring it up. But I see no problem with it. From my point of view, most things are not evil in and of themselves. The evil is within us, in our heart. If there is a problem it is with us most of the time. All things lawful, but all things not profitable. I can see your point of view on this. I find that I also try to find God in everything around me and everything I do like watching a star wars movie. I love star wars. I find it to be fun and enjoyable entertainment.
  21. I started this thread years ago and almost just started another thread on the same exact topic. I find it amazing that after all this time , not only do I still see this but it's getting more common
  22. Very perceptive Kwik, I am very frustrated with this conversation. My goal is to speak God's truth. To do that and then get accused of speaking unscriptural false doctrine is very disheartening to me. It is also why I am walking away from this conversation. If my goal becomes to listen to reply, instead of listening to understand then something is wrong and it's time to leave the conversation. So I leave and pray that in some way I don't see or understand God has been glorified. Thank you for your encouragement throughout these posts.
  23. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. I believe the doctrine you have put forth goes against scripture and is false teaching. So I am done. God Bless. By all means post after this to make sure you get the last word in. I'm done.
