What is causing Antisemitism in US n all over the world ?
Willa replied to R. Hartono's topic in General Discussion
In the Revelation we see how satan first tried to destroy the Jews, from whom the Savior would come. Then he turned to destroying the Christians. People still hate and try to Destroy the Jews as did Hitler and so many others, and then Christians. So sinners who unconsciously serve satan still hate Jews and Christians. -
The psalms and all of the Old Testament was written to Jews. After Moses all Jews were under the Mosaic law. There were conditions to having a covenant relationship with God. If they obey the laws, God will bless them. Now days Christians are no longer under the law. However, if we do the 10 commandments out of gratitude for all Christ has done for us, we will certainly be happier and God will still bless us for our desire to honor Him. In the Abrahamic covenant God put him to sleep and God alone passed between the halved meat to confirm the covenant. In Christ's covenant Jesus sealed it with His blood in the place of all sinful mankind so God alone again sealed the covenant. Nothing is required for us to do to receive it. This was a covenant of grace. None of us is worthy of God's kindness and forgiveness through Christ's blood. It is a free gift requiring no works on our part. It only requires saving faith which also is a free gift from God. These gifts are undeserved and can be refused or never received and opened or applied by us. No works are required so no one can boast. We can only rejoice in them and thank Him, receiving Him as our Lord God and Savior. Through receiving Christ as being the God/man sent to us from our Father in heaven, God bestows His Spirit upon us and makes us His own children. John 1. In Psalm 101 David is still repenting of his affair with Bathsheba and murdering her husband. Repentance is forsaking our wicked ways and determining to do what is right in God's eyes. We still need to do this a Christians, even though we fail time after time. We will not be truly happy and feel God's blessing and guidance when sin comes between us and Him. This is true when trying to live in harmony with a spouse as well. We need to keep clean slates to lead happy lives. If you have questions, please ask and I will give you verses and explain it better.

You need to ask a specific question. Sometimes these questions are best in the women's or men's locked forums since children are also on our forums and we keep them appropriate for all.

How to trust God
Willa replied to faithfull-prophet4040's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
It used to be that I could never find my car/house keys. Now I can never find my fire stick remote. After searching for hours I remembered to pray, and before I had ended my prayer I saw it!!! Thank You Jesus! Thank You for helping me with all these little cares as well as the big ones. Bless Your Name. -
Sexual harassment at work
Willa replied to SweetBabyGirl's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
In the USA people are supposed to report any sexual harassment. It should be in writing and documented as to when and where it occurred or how often, so a copy can be kept as to when and to whom it was reported. If nothing is done to stop it you should go to your union if you are a member, or go to his boss with a copy of the report. The department of labor and industries might help you with this or even your local chamber of commerce might show you where to turn next. They usually mandate training for the company as to the laws and expectations of decorum in the work place. This puts people on notice that it should be treated seriously. I have found that men who do this feel vulnerable or threatened by women. When I was a nurse a couple of men were very suggestive toward me. I took it as an opportunity to witness them about God's love and forgiveness of sin. Never heard another word from them. United States law recognizes two forms of sexual harassment:[7] Quid pro quo sexual harassment: an employee is required to tolerate sexual harassment in exchange for employment, a raise or job benefit, or promotion. Hostile work environment: sexual harassment in the workplace results in an offensive work environment or unreasonably interferes an employee's work performance. -
Sexual harassment at work

My adult son has an impish habit of sticking people in the ribs by saying outrageously offensive things like racial slurs when he is trying to shock people and get a reaction from them. He leaves people asking Did he mean that?, Is he serious or joking? It often leads to a ridiculous debate. He especially likes doing this to people who are women's lib. He met his match with his mother in law, who always swore she would pay him back. They had a great relationship. -
Yes Jesus and Father God are in heaven. We pray that God's will may be done here on earth just as it is being done in heaven. Praying that His Kingdom will come on earth is praying that His will be done on all the earth as perfectly as it is being done in heaven. We are part of His Kingdom when we have submitted ourselves to obey Him as our ruler and King. Jesus will also have an earthly kingdom and reign on earth in Israel for 1000 years. We know about what the Bible describes heaven to be like. Read Revelation 4. Paul was caught up into the 3rd heaven. It may have been a vision, I don't know. Daniel also Had been shown things he was not permitted to tell. John told us more details of some of those things in the Revelation. Ezekiel also told us of some of the things he saw in heaven. They described archangels, for instance. The second heaven is that which we can see--the air and space in the sky. The third heaven may be beyond that or even another dimension. We don't know. We just know there will be praise and worship there.

We don't know. Usually they will eventually cause our hearts to grow cold. God won't give up on you and will keep calling you back to Himself. But you will be miserable without His guidance and being able to discern His love for you. God chastens those He loves. You will feel as though you need to be saved again till you surrender your whole life to Him and repent of all known sin.

God does want us to be honest with Him. David was. He prayed "How long". I can remember doing that when I was in hard labor with my baby. David also asked God to forgive him and cleanse his heart. However, we are not to blame God. We need to blame satan and to be angry with him. He came to steal our love, joy and peace. He also kicks us when we are down. So when I am physically hurting I give it to God, knowing that Jesus hurt on the cross as well and is praying for me. I ask God to somehow use it all for good and His glory. Then I take 2 Tylenol and try to get some sleep. lol When I am hurting emotionally, like when I was grieving the loss of my husband of 54 years, I am comforted that God was with me to help me through it all. I so missed my prayer partner, my best friend and companion, and having a warm body beside me. So God sent me a cuddly lap dog. It's not the same at all, but it is a comfort. I can thank God for answered prayers, for His faithfulness, for His great love for us even when we were yet sinners Christ died for us. I thank Him for my dog, for family and friends. Then I try to dwell on all things good and lovely. I can alway rejoice because God is at hand to help me in time of need. He is always near to me and in me. He will never leave me or forsake me. Praise God!!! Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. I grew up being a glass half empty person. It has taken discipline to focus on being a glass half full and continuing to fill person. I want it to be always running over and blessing others in spite of what is going on in my body or my circumstances.

How to trust God
Willa replied to faithfull-prophet4040's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
How do I trust God? I practices His word. I apply it to my problems and do what it says to do. When I have a problem I pray about it. As I see Him answer other prayers, I am able to trust Him for more difficult situations. We had prayed for some time for grandson to get his college degree. On Wednesday he learned that he had passed his last tests which qualify him for his degree. Praise God! On the same day he learned he had passed his states tests which qualify him for a license to do his job. Praise God again. On Thursday we learned that his mother has something show up in her mammogram. Her mother died of breast cancer so she is terrified. That is satan causing that terror. We have rejoiced and asked that there be nothing to find when they check again. However, I have confidence that whatever the outcome is, God will walk through it all with her. I am determined to focus on Jesus and whatever is good and lovely and of good report, knowing that God is going to work it all out for her good. She and her family love the Lord. So we rejoice in the Lord, knowing that He is near. We don't fear cancer. We fear and trust in God. That is faith. -
Php 4:4 AMP Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! [Psa 37:4] Php 4:5 Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near. Php 4:6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. Php 4:7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. [Joh 14:27] Php 4:8 Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable andworthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

2Th 2:3. Let no man deceive.—R.V. “beguile or cheat you.” A falling away.—Lit. “the apostasy,” a desertion from the army of God; a recantation of faith in Christ. Our Master foretold that when “iniquity shall abound the love of the many shall be blown cool”. (Preacher's Homiletical ) 2Th 2:3 AMP Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; Dan 8:25; 1Ti 4:1] So apostasy is defined as a falling away, rebellion, an abandoning of the faith by professing Christians. This doesn't necessarily follow that they have never been fruitful. They have allowed their faith to grow cold. Perhaps it is unrepented sin or weeds choking it out. Perhaps it is the cares of the world. It implies that fruit has been produced in some people but has never ripened. They have not gone on to maturity. Luk 8:11 "Now [the meaning of] the parable is this: The seed is the word of God [concerning eternal salvation]. Luk 8:12 Those beside the road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and takes the message [of God] away from their hearts, so that they will not believe [in Me as the Messiah] and be saved. Luk 8:13 Those on the rocky soil are the people who, when they hear, receive and welcome the word with joy; but these have no firmly grounded root. They believe for a while, and in time of trial andtemptation they fall away [from Me and abandon their faith]. Luk 8:14 The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, but as they go on their way they are suffocated with the anxieties and riches and pleasures of this life, and they bring no fruit to maturity. Luk 8:15 But as for that seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and noble heart, and hold on to it tightly, and bear fruit with patience.

Be sure and ask the surgeons to not wear masks the next time you must have surgery. Science does support the benefits of wearing masks.

Why is "Good Friday" called "good?"

It was on that day that Jesus took my sins away by taking the sin burden upon Himself and dying for them. -
When many shades of gray become black and white
Willa replied to Riverwalker's topic in General Discussion
It is illegal to have more than one wife in the USA, so here it is wrong. Anyone who has had 17 to 19 year old daughters knows that living with two or more women in a household is not pleasant, no matter how much you love them. -
Many of us were atheists and agnostics before God revealed Himself to us. Those who see God in nature are agnostics, not having a personal relationship with Him speaking to us and guiding us. He is just "up there". Those that are atheists often become the strongest evangelists after seeing God. God made us and knows how to reach each of us according to our personalities. He knows how to convince us. After believing that there is a God Who is personally aware of us we often become aware of our sin and our need of forgiveness. Then we become aware that we can't achieve God's idea of being good enough to go to heaven, so we need a Savior. This is the work of the Holy Spirit, showing us sin, righteousness and judgement. He enlightens us. Tell your friends that they will never know till they truly want to know and seek to know. They may even have to ask God, "if there is a God".

When many shades of gray become black and white
Willa replied to Riverwalker's topic in General Discussion
I first heard this from a very liberal teacher back in the 50s. He had graduated from Harvard, lived in New York, renounced his Catholic faith because it wasn't logical. Not believing in black and white, only in shades of gray, is not believing in right and wrong. Christians see things in black and white--satan is wrong and God is right, satan is darkness and God is light. There is no situational ethics. -
Both of my parents have been with the Lord for over 40 years. I still miss them. Remember the good times and the love they gave you.

Lol! I rarely read overly long posts. I am glad we agree.

Luk 17:20. And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luk 17:21. Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. As I said, Jesus Himself represented the Kingdom and was in their midst. It applies to today because The Holy Spirit is now in our midst. People who follow Him and obey His guidance are submitting to Him as their King, and so are a part of God's Kingdom. Does that explain it better?

Is the Charismatic Movement Dangerous and Heretical?
Willa replied to Paul James's topic in General Discussion
Any group or church may become heretical when they depart from the Bible as a basis for doctrine. Several denominations also base doctrine on experiences, which can lead them to la la land. The Methodist Church does this as well as some Charismatics, such as those related to the Vineyard Church. Other Charismatics are very Bible based and of sound doctrine. Other churches base doctrine on tradition, such as the Catholic, the Episcopal, and some liberal Lutheran Churches. This can be just as bad. -
When we are born again of the Holy Spirit Christ comes to indwell us. When we submit to Him as our Almighty King and Lord, and we obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, His kingdom resides within us. I also believe that He has heaven awaiting us, a Millennium Kingdom, and a New Heaven and New Earth. Rom 8:09. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Rom 8:10. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom 8:11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 2Co 13:5. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
