  1. Just a thought . . . and this is for anyone, not directed at or to bopeep, but to us all . . . . If we disagree with some one on a point of doctrine, does that make them wrong about other doctrines? If someone, even an unbeliever, quotes the Bible, does the bible become less true, because of who said it, or because they believe something different? So, to me, if this is how we want to think of things, I should never pay attention to anything any pastor I have ever heard, or any Christian author, has ever written, because I can probably find some point of disagreement. If we disagree with someone, especially on peripheral issues, such as the millennium or "Calvinism", do we not stop to consider, that perhaps it is we who are wrong, and instead of them? I find it more that likely, that I am probably wrong about something, but if I lay out my case, with scripture, I hope that people can look past me, to what the scripture says, and take direction from the bible, not me, the imperfect sinner. Now, back to the subject of the love of God . . . . PLEASE! Well, certainly I don't agree with his end time position and I hate the Calvinist doctrine. I read a good chunk of his book however, and understand most of his college level (High Level) candid references assuming we all should also understand. For your average believe on the love of God though, I suspect they would be lost in the quagmire. Kenneth Hagins book "Love the way to victory" contained real life examples and scriptures on walking in love, in God's love. Real easy to follow, like giving his wife the best egg in the morning, a way of life.. Does a disagreement in one point, make all the other points bad? Does one eat the fish and spit out the bones, or does he avoid the fish altogether? Calvinism says God loves who he chooses, and picks who he chooses. If someones view of God is this, then God so loved the World can get a bit twisted in other writings. However, if you dig deeper and look at the opposite end of Calvinism who says not by God's foreknowledge but by election. Is not foreknowledge also the same? Well, God may take a bowling ball and choose to smash the vases he wants in the hall, but knowing the outcome of just rolling the ball and knowing what vases are hit is the same thing, different method. God puts the spirit in man, and if causing this reaction in the right place, time and knowing the situations of such man, it's still reverts back to Calvinism. Does man have a free choice anyway? The yoke of Jesus being lite, the yoke of the enemy being heavy, you have to pick one regardless. Pick your yoke. Hence I read though a lot of the book, because I know those who oppose election will say God knows the end from the begging misquoting a scripture in Isa, and have no spiritual insight they really are picking election anyway, meaning there could be something revealed by God to a man that could help. Be blessed.
  2. that is what I wanted to hear from you brother. Job had more than a problem, he lost his children. I almost lost mine, that is hard, but God is good. I don't want to bang heads on you with this, I want you to see something instead. If you will just for me take God's love, God's goodness, the fact He has been so good to many here on the forums, then read and meditate on this. Let me paint this for you. Satan comes and speaks to Job. Satan has a theme, he always has that stupid theme he continues to bring to our attention, our mind, in our sight. It's how he causes mental illness. It starts with a suggestion. They can plant thoughts in your head through TV. You cast it down, but after continually hammering you with this, showing you some stupid document that it might be true, a person can buy into it. TV can subliminally mind control you. Well, I can tell you, many are in the nut house today that believe this. They put tin foil on their head to stop the mind controlling waves. It sounds crazy to us, but they believe it, it's fact to them. Now look: Curse God Job, you die, your kids die, you loose everything. Just curse God, and it's over for you buddy. Unlike David, Job did not know God as the protector, the one that slays thousands of troops that come at you. Job feared God, Job did not have a working love relationship with God. Satan used this. Satan comes to Job, and says............. Your kids Job, they are drinking, they are together and they just might be cursing God in their heart. You never know Job, but one thing for certain. If they have cursed God Job, you loose ever single one of them. They will be dead Job, your seed, your heritage, all gone. So, Job, who is listening to this starts to sacrifice animals, for Job said, "My Kids might have cursed God in their hearts, I must make atonement for them, just in case." THUS JOB DID CONTINUALLY The Sabeans and the Chaladeans where close by. A band of rotten men, and the reports of their evil where abounding. Job had great concern, what if they came, what would Job do? Job had no rest, he worried day and night. What if they came (Chaladeans, and Sabeans), what if His kids were cursing God? Job wants things right, but is perplexed, in fear, in worry. Job is acting on all Satan is presenting to him. It was Satan who said............ does Job serve you for nought, you hurt him God, you put your hands on him and he will curse you to your face. The same thing Satan put in Job's mind concerning his Children. The Same thing on the mind of Job's wife saying, "Why hold onto your integrity, curse God and die." You see the theme Shiloh? Curse God, and die. Your kids Job, might just be cursing God. You don't know, but just in case....... Rom_6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Job is running around, not at peace, not at rest, Satan has him acting on every lie He is feeding Job. There is not even a scripture saying if you curse God you die. Satan made that up, a lie, a fear. Satan came to God............. You hurt him God, Does Job serve you for nothing? You put a hedge around him, blessed the work of his hands, but if you hurt him God, he will Bless (Barak) curse you to your face. .He will blame you God. God was not going to hurt Job. God said it was without cause. but God saw Satan interact with Job, Saw Job follow and act on the fear Satan put in Job, Satan had a place. Job had more Faith in what Satan was telling him, than in God who would protect Him. 58 times we are told to Fear not 48 times to be not Afraid. Shiloh said: If you truly believe that, then you know the day Satan attacked was the day He had a place. Job's Sons and Daughters came together was the day. You know that God was not giving permission, but stating a fact after watching Job obey Satan in all his fears. All that Job has, is in your power. You know, that if we follow after Satan, act on his lies, things don't come out well as it's written, Give not the devil a place. For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came. (Job 3:25-26) Can you see Brother, Our Great and awesome God was not at fault, neither gave permission? I just want you to see it, you don't have to admit anything. You can't follow the lies of the devil, and not give him a rightful place. God will not break his own Word and stop the devil. As the devils accused Jesus of tormenting them before it's time. You have lots of great things to share with many here, I want you to see God is so good, and never did what folks said he did concerning Job. 58 times to fear not. 48 times be not afraid. what did Job say? Be blessed.
  3. I don't read anywhere in the interaction between God and Satan where God agree's to any deal, told him to make Job sick. In fact God said why are you trying to get me to harm Job without cause? In other words, God saw no point in even hurting Job. However, we have more issues from your post than just what happened to Job. First issues is your ignoring Scriptures I gave you, not a good sign at all. Next, your saying that no matter what man does, no matter what man believes, has faith, no faith, it don't matter. Then everything is left up to God. God's will someone gets in a car drunk and kills that child crossing the street, His perfect plan. God's will that someone raped and murdered someone else. The rapist being in the perfect will of God since nothing happens God has total authority over everything on earth. There are issues your having here that go way beyond just looking at Job.
  4. If that be the case Shiloh, then we have to Ignore What Elihu said, who was the only one that spoke correctly on God's behalf, being the youngest of the men. You say it is clear that God gave permission to Satan to murder the mans children, and you right there, only the intellect of man would think something like like about the God that sent His Son to save us. The problem is not intelligence, but lack of revelation. Because we see Moses hitting the Rock exclude himself from the promise land. That is simple enough for even a 1st grader to comprehend. We see David number his troops to make sure there was enough to win the battle, not trusting in God. That might be a bit more difficult for a 1st grader, but we see it. We see Saul who only half obeyed God most the time then claim he did fully what the Lord said. What are those Sheep Saul? how they get here? We understand why He did not make it as King. None of those situations God caused, or gave permission for judgement. Those guys brought it on themselves. 1st grade intellect could see clearly, and understand cause and effect here. In Job's case it takes a little more care in comparing scriptures and not taking one passage, "Behold, all that he has is in your power." and giving it an interpretation standing by itself. Zero intellect would do that as we are warned from Peter not to do that. Surely you can do better in understanding why God would say, "Pay attention stupid, Job is in your power." instead of just saying God was in a crummy mood that day, had no clue what Job would do, and had to prove something to a disobedient spirit who was lying through his teeth the whole time talking to God, because there is ZERO truth in him (John 8:44) Surely God must have just been having such a bad day, that for the first and only time ever recorded one man who served him for no fault of his own, God decides to just take away all his money in livestock, Murder the mans children and makes him so sick he wish he were dead. Do I over estimate you Shiloh? Am I wasting my time? I answer you because you seem to have a lot of revelation, I don't really want to wast time on anyone else. Job did something Shiloh, He broke a very serious spiritual law that was with God before the foundation of the World as the Word was with God, and is God, the same as the Word. I'll help you out though. I believe you will see it. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. (Mat 14:30) The Lord commanded Peter to come out. Peter walked out. We know the Lord was not very happy with Peter though. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? (Mat 14:31) What cost Peter his Miracle? The wind was to much? The Lord just changed his mind? What was it?
  5. Yes, he is.I will not be reading the free book.I have nothing in common with Carson. Bobeep what do you not have in common? If the person is amillennial I do not support that interpretation. I read through some of the book, and most definitely do not agree with any Amillennialism position. To think Satan is already bound is to live in a bubble and not be paying attention to what Satan is doing in this World now. However, a wrong view in my thinking is just that. I certainly don't know everything, and some points are very good. I would not want to be so closed minded and miss revelation God has to give through someone. I certainly do not eat hay, or would agree with it, yet a Donkey was used to speak to a prophet and might find my position on eating hay nonsensical. My beef with the book though is not really in Carson's belief system, but his lack of anointing and ability to reach everyone. When things get complicated, we know God is not in that, but mans own wisdom. Just a small example. (3) God’s salvific stance toward his fallen world. God so loved the world that he gave his Son (John 3:16). I know that some try to take ko´smoy (“world”) here to refer to the elect. But that really will not do. All the evidence of the usage of the word in John’s Gospel is against the suggestion. True, world in John does not so much refer to bigness as to badness. In John’s vocabulary, world is primarily the moral order in willful and culpable rebellion against God. In John 3:16 God’s love in sending the Lord Jesus is to be admired not because it is extended to so big a thing as the world, but to so bad a thing; not to so many people, as to such wicked people. Nevertheless elsewhere John can speak of “the whole world” (1 John 2:2), thus bringing bigness and badness together. More importantly, in Johannine theology the disciples themselves once belonged to the world but were drawn out of it (e.g., John 15:19). On this axis, God’s love for the world cannot be collapsed into his love for the elect. Carson just assumes that all of us understand the position of Calvinism, and just assumes we understand why that is important. Many believers don't even know what that is, or even consider or have hears about taking Ko'smoy as to referring to the elect. He goes into long thing about it instead of just Saying, some believe God picks who gets saved, and that saving faith is imparted to them only as the elect in the World. Carson would leave most trying to guess what the heck He was talking about. Then Carson refers to the Johannine Theology, Of course we all know what that is, right? First thing everyone is taught in church, common knowledge. Carson even says it's important, but what the heck is Johannine theology? Desiderius Erasmus, Issac Newton and many others thought the Johannine comma was a fake, yet Carson dismisses this and calls it important leaving the reader to have no clue what Johannine is and what importance it has in making his point against election. For me, the book was far to complex for your Average believer.
  6. did not Jesus say he who is faithful in little, more is given, or who is faithful in unrighteous material goods (Mammon) then would qualify for true riches, or He that is faithful with another mans, more shall be given? Does faith justify us before God after He tells us to step out and move 4 states away to a place we have not been, and tells us He has great things there? So we by faith tell everyone that we have to move and we know God has a great plan. However, because the kids should finish in their school having friends, and because we can't find a buyer for our house at the price we want and we looked in that other state, and there did not seem to be any good jobs, we never step out and move as the right time did not ever seem to come upon us. We keep telling people saying we have faith, just waiting on the right time. years go by and we never do move. Does that still qualify us for what God had planed for us 4 states away? Faith alone is dead, and does not qualify us for anything. Even the man hearing Paul had faith to be Healed by what Paul was speaking, but he was not healed until Paul helped him saying stand up and walk. Think about it. Be blessed.
  7. Your not seeing what really happened in Job. I did post some scripture from Elihu. God will not prevent or step aside and ever violate his Word. It could be I just assume everyone knows why Job went through what He did and Elihu makes it really clear. Elihu answers that question. When things go wrong, do we ever ask God why? Lot's of things go wrong in our life, just the afflictions of the World as Promised. For the Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecutions and Jesus said we will have trouble in this World. There is a difference between waiting out the flood, and the house being destroyed by the flood that came. When things go wrong, Elihu gave us the answer. Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more. (Job 34:31-32) When trouble comes, it's not time to ask why, it's time to seek help. Can we see the plans of the enemy? Do we walk perfect knowing every thing in us that is not perfect? Do we understand all things unless it's revealed to us? Php_3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. The correct response is to call out for Help, Lord you will see me through all things, if I have caused this, show me and I will do it no more. If my thinking is wrong, then I receive correction, but You are my God, and will help and see me through. Job on the other hand.............. That Job speaks without knowledge, and his words are without wisdom and insight. [Would that Job's afflictions be continued and] he be tried to the end because of his answering like wicked men! For he adds rebellion [in his unsubmissive, defiant attitude toward God] to his unacknowledged sin; he claps his hands [in open mockery and contempt of God] among us, and he multiplies his words of accusation against God. (Job 34:35-37) Job was just running his mouth, thou he slay me, I will still trust him, but I am not changing my ways, but maintain them. That is a accusation against God,(God is slaying me, His fault) it's rebellion and unsubmissive. It assumes God had something to so with what happened to me. If God did give permission to a disobedient angel in some Satanic deal to murder my family, then God can't be trusted anyway. That is like saying I trust the guy that comes to my house and always steals something before they leave. It's perfectly fine to ask God questions, it's never OK to accuse God of wrong doing. It's never OK to assume God did not want to help, or God through some strange permissive will allowed the devil to get us. For God to do that, He would have to go against his own Son who came to destroy the Works of the devil. People say things without thinking and don't really understand the implications they imply. Let's get something straight though. Satan don't need God's permission to attack if we give the devil a place. Even the devils named Legion thought Jesus was way out of line and violating the Word when Jesus came to cast them out. They said we rebuke you in the name of God. Even devils know God keeps his own Word, and would not stop them if it meant violating His own Word, saying have you come to torment us before it's time? If the devils are that smart, we ought to at least be that smart. God did not give the devil permission to get Job, and God could not have Stopped the devil even though God wanted to , and had the power to do so. That is not how it works. As Elihu said, Job did this to himself. Job is not about God testing Job to prove something to a disobedient angel. God has nothing to prove to his created beings. God already Knows Job's heart, what does God care what the devil thinks? That is like saying we should care what someone thinks who always thinks wrong, and always causes trouble. Then one day we get stupid and listen to this great plan they have, knowing there is not truth in them, and knowing when they speak a lie, they speak their very nature. Of course we would not listen to them, we are smarter than that, and God is by far smarter than us. It was not about God proving something, or testing Job. As if God needs a test to know a mans heart, and has to listen to a liar to test. it was something else which should be evidently clear to all of us, because our Lord said it many times, the Head of the Church. Blessings.
  8. I don't think you can Home School college. If they have a degree, or able to pass their G.E.D then it should not be an issue getting a Job before college. There is always discrimination in the World though. Every person I met has an aversion to something, and if that person is in charge of hiring then it will subconsciously effect their Hiring decisions. I always tell the job interviewer that Jesus is My Lord. If the person wants their business filled with believers then the guy that is more qualified than me gets discriminated. If the person hates religion then I get discriminated against. The correct answer to all this though is the young person should seek and find what direction the Lord wants them to go. Those doors can't be closed, and no amount of discrimination can stop someone following the plan of God.
  9. Well, Job gave up. Job was certainly no David, that is clear. Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly? (Job 3:11) Despite all the blessings on Job's life, Job suddenly discounted all of them once all of them were gone. Job never asked God for help, instead, Job just blamed God the whole time. Job 6:9 Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off! Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge. If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause. (Job 9:15-17) Here Job keeps running on, does not expect God to even hear him, and God was the one that harmed him and it was without cause. In other Words, God did this to Job unjustly. I could go through the whole book, but you get the point. Job fell apart, blamed God, and accused God of harming him for no good reason at all. What Job did not understand is that God said hurting Job was without cause also. God was on Job's side the whole time. And the Lord said to the Satan, Have you taken note of my servant Job, for there is no one like him on the earth, a man without sin and upright, fearing God and keeping himself far from evil? and he still keeps his righteousness, though you have been moving me to send destruction on him without cause. (Job 2:3) Satan kept telling God to harm Job, God said hurting Job is without cause, there is no purpose in it. It was Satan that had the place, It was Satan lying and trying to manipulate God as is his custom and there is not truth in the devil (John 8:44) Job did not blame God....he questioned why this happened but he said about God even when his wife temptingly said to curse God and die ( though she never thought of doing this herself) ...though He slay me yet will I trust Him. Job had absolute trust in God and this is what God knew and satan did not, God knew Job's heart. It is in the difficult times when our mettle is revealed and to trust when all is going wrong is what we are asked to do. God is in control of the Christian's life and He knows how we will react to the situation that is why He will not give us moe than we are able to bear. We are only asked to trust Him. This is what Job did. Job_13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. Though God slay him? Job did blame God and charged the Lord. To make it worse, Job flaunted his own righteousness and felt there was some injustice done. I will maintain my own ways, when Job's own ways ended up loosing everything is pretty hard headed. However, we are told Job did not charge God foolishly. So Job handled it according to his own understanding. Job_1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. All the Lord's fault, right. Job charged God with a heart that truly believed God was responsible. Not in a foolish or disrespectful manner. Never occurred to Job to ask for help either. As for more than Job can bare? Job wanted to just die. I know we all can sit back and just think how Awesome God is for giving Job twice back everything, and forget the fact that loosing your children to a murderous and disobedient angel is extremely painful. Pretty clear by some of these post nobody has had to experience seeing their child dead in a coffin. However, God does not send a killer to murder someone's children Who serves Him, take their stuff he gave them as all the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, and Gives permission to make them so sick they can hardly move all in one day. Elihu was the only one that spoke right on God's behalf, the only one who did not get in trouble with the Lord. What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water? Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men. For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God. (Job 34:7-9) Job said it profits a man nothing to delight himself in God. Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. (Job 34:10-11) People of understanding, already know what Job had done in ignorance, why Satan had a place, and why God would not violate his own spiritual laws to stop Satan. Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment. (Job 34:12) I hope that helps clear some things up. God did not OK Satan to go after Job, and in fact God saved Job's life. Job just did not understand. Be blessed.

    Divine Healing

First, You and I have heard, and seen our share of God stepping in when man could do nothing. We both seen God's will to heal. Being forgiven, is no more a promise than the Lord will also heal. I showed you in two places for two witnesses both healing and forgiveness are connected. It's not a matter of forcing God to do anything, it's a matter of believing what God said. However, I can post 30 reason God wants us healed, and post 30 that God wants to forgive and does not even take pleasure in the death of the wicked, nor does God judge men willingly. God has to, but its not his will, and not the way he wanted it to turn out. Lam_3:33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. So it appears I am left in the position to Wash out the WOF position of just saying a few things and quoting a few scriptures, then fully expecting God to just jump in and heal us. Granted, a lot of it is not very deep or answers many question. Not all so called WOF teaching is that way though. Let's just break down a little by little. Why don't every Get healed if it's included in some promise or some atonement? Is it even really a promise? If so, a promise to who? Let's just look at ONE Reason many older believers never get healed. Unsaved, new believers, easy. I have seen more than my share. What about the guy that served God 20 years, had the church pray, and nothing? Everything about everyone does not always appear as it seems. Obeying God, do what He said do, keep yourself living godly in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; (2Co 1:7-10) 1Sa_26:24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation. Now Paul is saying if God delivered us, you can take consolation in what we went through, knowing God will do the same for you. Paul said it was so bad, he had a sentence of death in them, set to die. So much, Paul said we don't trust in ourselves, but trust in God who can raise the dead even. Not only did God deliver us, we trust He will always come through and deliver. A few things here, Paul is trusting in the Lord, not in His great faith, or in some confession but that God can deliver if God can raise the dead. Paul is also doing what the Lord said do. Paul is not doing his own thing, going where He wants to go. Paul did not just set up a ministry on some nice beach where only the nice vacation folks would hang out. Now if Paul said God will deliver us from all things, trusting in Him, then it is so. We ought not to question that. If anyone would know, it would be Paul. We have millions of Christians not even concerned with doing what the Lord said do. Lots of them starting their own things that seem good, and God never said a word about starting those things. People just believe, don't sin, go to church, all is fine. NO, NO and NO. We are created for his Workmanship, not our own, we are a body part and we best find what part and get in that. Well then, am I saying we can only be healed after the good works? God forbid, that is not what is happening. And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exo 15:26) The Lord has not changed one bit. What was the Law, is now the Law of faith or the obedience of faith. Are we doing exactly what the Lord said do? If we do, what did He say He would do? He is the Lord that heals us. Hence in James the Prayer of faith does save the sick, but if that person committed Sin, the Lord also forgives that disobedience of not hearkening unto all the Lord said do. People miss out on healing, because of their own heart, and lack of confidence in God. Knowing, they are not doing everything they believe the Lord would have them do. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (1Jn 3:20-22) Paul had confidence, because Paul was doing what the Lord told him to do. So bold, that no matter what happened, He said more than once, the Lord will deliver Him, no issues. If our heart has confidence in the Lord, Whatsoever we ask, we receive. Protection, bills paid, healing, so on......... Whatsoever. Long enough, but it's not a cut and dried matter concerning healing. It's not a WOF thing, or a denomination thing. We need to believe what the scriptures do say. There is lots to learn. be blessed.
  11. This is right on, and we see it in scriptures. God does not even take pleasure if the Wicked perish, He also loved the World so much to send Jesus, and loves us the same as Jesus. Someone that has been faithful in little, someone that honor's God, does what He says. Someone that responds when they think it just might be the Lord saying something. What we notice is levels of Favor. Our body is not our own, it belongs to the Lord, and it's our reasonable service to present it as a sacrifice. Someone that just sits at home all day and eats potato chips, and might go to church at times don't need healed of something as someone that uses their body for the Lord, and needs to keep moving. I see this a whole lot when the Healing question comes up. If your not honoring God with your body, Then why would you need healed? Your doing nothing anyway, but what what you want. it's not God loves one over the Other, or even did not Love Easu, but Easu despised the things of the Lord, and the Lord hated that. It's favor, that is what we see. Whosoever honors the Lord, Him, the Lord will Honor. Mike.
  12. It was Satan that had the place, It was Satan lying and trying to manipulate God as is his custom and there is not truth in the devil (John 8:44)
  13. By Faith

    Divine Healing

Not that I am going to be pulled in by the Unlearned. One saying God answers prayer yes, No, I have something better for you when we are told to pray according to his will, to have our petition desired of him. Not even understanding prayer. Hence my time will be wasted greatly here. I will say this Shiloh, and only because you have earned my respect as Brother Mike and now they let me back. "ByFaith" God has never not one time failed me when it comes to healing. Not my Son, Not me, and not many I know. So, go back, study. Faith does not manipulate God's Sovereignty. Faith can only come by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. So faith could only be in what God said, else it's not even faith, but what man makes up. Paul left Trophy sick, Jacobs Hip, Timothy's stomach, Paul's beatings. Let's get something straight here, We are promised to have tribulation in this World, sometimes healing comes by just doing what the doctor said. Jesus was our redeemer from the Curse of the law, and out of that curse for disobedience came every sickness mentioned in scripture, and every sickness not mentioned. You should know Deut 28, I'll save the scriptures. Forgiveness and healing go hand in hand. Psa_103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Jas_5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. , Saying it's Robbing God's Sovereignty by believing he wants us healed, is like saying we are robbing God of his sovereignty by believing he wants to forgive us. You just don't believe half a scripture. Faith speaks this, My God will make a way, As I am forgiven, My God will make a way, and I am also the healed. For it's written In his Word. Many people here have been healed, So we just don't say God will only do half of what he said and just forgive some, being a respecter of persons. You know better than this Shiloh, I have read lots of your post. So you need to change up some thinking on this. so how is it I pray to be healed and not healed? Million dollar question. I blame God? Or, do I look at myself? Even though the Disciples where given power from Jesus himself to raise the dead and cast out devils had enough sense to ask the Lord, "Why could we not cast him out?" The best in the World failed, and this time it was a lack of faith, that is not the only answer though. Thing is they did not write a book on How God sometimes Heals and sometimes You just never know. They had enough sense to ask Why we could not, they knew it was on their end, not the Lord's. We ought to have enough sense like they did. Faith starts with faith in God, not faith in healing or faith in your needs met. Faith that God will somehow, someway come through. Even my daughter busted her tooth in half, took her to the doctor. That is a sensible thing to do, and I am still trusting God. They said she needed surgery and would have to put my daughter under. Now faith does not just believe things will go well, Faith is faith in God, doing what he says and trusting it will work out. The day of surgery I had been praying about it, and the Holy Spirit said, "DON'T GO, Danger, Don't Go" It came up strong in me, so I said we are not going, the tooth will somehow be fine, but it did not look fine. Well, I took my Daughter to a different Doctor and He said the tooth looked great, that having surgery was a risk that should have never been suggested. What was left of the tooth stayed in, fell out and the new one came in. The point is, people don't understand things, so they discount them altogether. Faith in God does what he says, fills the pots with water, that is when the Miracle happens, and let me tell you, God has never failed anyone who trusted in him, not one time. Be blessed.
  14. The are already Judged. Mark 16 off to Hades they go.
  15. I think you basically have said(as YOUR 2nd answer)exactly what I just finished saying ,,,I believe the first answer was video games & the majority has said they would be praying,,,,,.they did not really say what they were saying to our Lord,or asking,,,,,,,,probably seeking His will as well....... It is unfair to say "many here" are not following our Lord, every single day as their last,,,,,,,,,,you cannot make that judgement & besides, the question was "What would YOU be doing?" Not ,"What do you think everyone else is doing?" Please forgive me for being so blunt ,I do not mean to offend you in any way, shape or form,,,,,,but I do not like to see anyone pass judgement on our brethren when they hardly know them & cannot possibly know their hearts, let alone what they may say in prayer to our Lord,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,God Bless you & to God be the Glory..... With love-in Christ,Kwik Blunt is good, I believe we can be blunt without trying to hurt feelings or being offensive. Nothing to forgive though, as we should leave being offended for the new in Christ on the bottle, and the rest of the World. Let's get something straight though, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak and foremost on the mind will come out. As angle pointed out in the parable, our last few hours, or moments should not be scrambling to find some oil. If it is, we missed the wedding and were not prepared, nor doing as we should have been doing. So while it may seem noble to pray the last few hours, or go run and witness to someone, if we examine it more closely we should have run our race, had nothing left on our conscience as undone, and the our oil packed in the bag, being at peace when that knock comes on the door. Paul said it's time to offer myself up, I have run the race, there is nothing left to do but leave. Paul did not say I have a bunch of things I never got around to, I have to cram them in before it's time I have to go.
  16. I don't recognize James as scripture. If you think everything in the Bible is scripture, then you must believe the Bible when it says, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." Acts 15:1 Is that right? The Bereans were commended when scrutinizing even Paul's teachings, "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Acts 17:11 Even Paul himself said, "even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed." Gal 1:8 Paul proved himself by his testimony affirmed by an eye witness as to has apostleship. He was also affirmed by miraculous signs as was expected of an apostle, "Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds." 2Cor 12:12 And what he said was consistent with what was already written and with the other apostles. James fails on these points. Even James, as a teacher says, "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." Jas 3:1 James himself admits he should be subject to scrutiny. But shiloh is saying that if I agree with Martin Luther on his point, I am therefore worshipping Martin Luther. Are you saying you worship James? The arm waving, grasping at straws and anti-Berean type of responses while typical are shameful. While many have put words into the mouth of James, who out there is willing to deal with what James ACTUALLY said. Try this. This should be easy: According to Romans 4, when did Paul reckon Gen 15:6 fulfilled? According to James 2, when did James reckon Gen 15:6 fulfilled? You don't see James as Scripture, or valid. It's sort of like coming here and quoting "May the Force be With You." then trying to tell us there is a Force because StarWars said there was a Force, and it's scriptural. Whatever you want to believe, becomes scripture in your thinking. And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. (Act 15:1-2) I am not sure what your point was about this scripture though. What does it have to do with James? Yes, I believe every word of it. Faith without corresponding action is dead. What if you don't go up and proclaim Jesus or even mention Him as your Lord? What if they did not march around Jericho? What if Naaman did not wash in the river he was told, but just kept complaining about it. What if Paul after preaching and knowing a man had faith to be healed, did not tell the man to rise up and walk. The faith was already there to be healed, but he was not walking yet. What if the 10 thought Jesus was crazy when He said go show yourself to the priest still full of leprosy and said heck with that. What if the Women with issue of blood saying if I just touch his garment, I will be healed, but she never left the house. James is the Word of God. There is nothing in James that counters any other scripture.
  17. If a believer has not figured out their part in the body, their purpose to the point of questioning what if anything does it all mean. They better get things sorted real quick, without a vision the people perish and can't see past anything but the flood that is hitting their house. Those out of the will of God, not doing what they are suppose to be doing, would ask this question when things go wrong. Paul certainly did not ask this question the day he was ship wreaked then bitten by a poisonous snake. Never crossed him mind what is the purpose of all this trouble.
  18. Hi disciple, You will meet Jesus face to face someday ,are you are on your knees at all times to pray for the unsaved people ? Do you have family members not saved? I think I go on my knees and not get up until the moment comes to be with the Lord, all our earthly cares will be no more...so maybe your daily routine would take a new direction? Blessings Angels4u. I would hate to think that if meeting the Lord that day and leaving earth, that I would have anything on my mind to scramble and do. My only thought and care is do what the Lord said do. We all are part of the body, created for God's workmanship, and I hope that I would have been running my race up until that day I knew it was time to leave earth. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2Ti 4:6-7) Paul here is not ready to keep running, praying, fixing up loose ends. Paul is ready to go, He is going to offer himself up. I assume He is going to turn himself into the religious leaders.(Just an assumptions as He does not say) There is nothing in Paul's mind he had not done that the Lord had asked him to do. A lot of folks say spend time in prayer. Your going to be with the Lord talking with him anyway shortly, it don't really make a lot of sense. My daily routine is waking up, and asking what is on the agenda today Lord, you put it on my heart, I'll do it. I would hate to think the day I am going to leave earth that I have things left on my mind that I did not do as the Lord asked. Otherwise I might be scrambling and trying to fit in the few hours I have left things I neglected and ignored. Angels4u, Your question shows many here are not doing everything they know to do and not following the Lord every single day as their last. That is a big problem, but the way people answer shows that, and my hope is they see it through your question and make the changes. There is nothing I can make up, or come up with that pleases the Lord, It's what the Lord says to do, that we do. Are we doing everyday what He said do? If not, then I can imagine people would be changing their routine to fit in the things left undone if they knew they were leaving soon, and it ought not to be. Be Blessed.
  19. Amazing. I teach this type of understand of Faith, it could save your life. Jeff had nothing to do with it, He has covenant with God. Tornadoes have to listen, they have ears. You can protect others though, as I will tell at the bottom, but it's Love that Works Faith. There has to be a reason or something in you that is very real for you to plead on the behalf of others. Just saying Lord protect them and protect that is not good enough, and we need to learn not to just throw prayer out for others in a un-thoughtful way, but expect all prayer to be heard and answered. Jeff would have had to know his neighbors, and had real, genuine compassion for the enemy to let them go, otherwise the enemy has a rightful place. According to the news, the Tornado was a F4 wind speed reached 170 MPH, touched down for about 15 minutes on a 8 mile path and wrecked havoc on homes and businesses in Rutherford County TN. The Town of Murfreesboro hit the hardest and suffered most the wind damage. Outside of Atlanta, GA I had just got my load (Truck Job) after fighting traffic all day in Atlanta, and through the 285 loop to I-20. I had to go to Alabama. The weather was just horrible and about 20 miles on I-20 the wind started to really pick up. A little further I noticed trucks laying on the side of the road that had been blown over. You see that a lot in states like WY, or NV coming out of UT. Not in Georgia though. I noticed the sky was real black and dark so I figured I would be driving through some storm. In a little bit, hail started to come down, near golf ball size a little smaller and I was driving into the wind. Smack, smack, bap, smack the hail was beating my windshield and my truck was getting very hard to steer. My concern was breaking my windshield driving into the hail and wind, so I slowed way down. Looking up ahead I saw a line of about 20? trucks (A long line of them) pulled over on the side of the interstate, and good reason, I could no longer steer anyway, the wind was just crazy. So I pulled in behind them to let whatever it was pass. So, I just call the wife to talk to her until the wind passed, my truck was being shaken like crazy back and forth. I clicked on the CB (I mostly keep it off because I don't like the language) to hear if anything what was going on. Talking to the wife, I hear other truckers saying they see it, they see it. A tornado I guess had touched down, and the trucks in front could see it. I was looking at the back of the truck I pulled in behind. So I figured just a Tornado, not that big a deal, and kept talking to the wife until it passed. The wind really picked up more and I hear on the CB this tornado was coming right toward where we all had parked. I guess it was going down I-20 back and forth across the road. I was just waiting on it to pass so I could continue on to Alabama. Then I hear some guy on the CB scream we are going to die, it's going to hit us. I heard another guy say he was calling home in case He never could talk to his wife and kids again. One guy just kept saying oh my God, oh my God. My first thought was truck drivers acting like a bunch of scared school girls, but then something else happened inside me. I can't explain it, it just washed all over me. Tears started to come down my face for wanting mercy on these guys. I had no idea what was wrong with me, but I knew the Love of God just flooded me. I already knew the devil did not have a Snowball's chance to hurt me or my truck, but the other guys, what about them? I told the wife I have to let her go and take care of something. I hung up and I spoke. Tornado, in the name of Jesus, you will go around the trucks from the front of the line, and miss all the trucks to the back of the line. Now move it. What happened next though, surprised me. The hail stopped, the wind stopped everything stopped. The trucks in front who saw it said it just lifted and vanished. Even the dark clouds were gone. I never seen anything like that. Others saying on the CB it was there right in front of them, then not there. Praise God, the truckers had no idea that God just spared them. People like to Mock God and say He does not care to always heal those that believe in Him, or protect. They mock those that teach how awesome our God is, but I will tell you, the Word had never failed anyone, not one time and the God that is mocked as a uncaring God, actually does care and is always present in the time of need, or danger. Jeff in the video knows this, I know this. Everyone who names Jesus Christ ought to know this. Be blessed.
  20. I would try to get some more video game time in. I would not like to think there are no video games in Heaven, but just in case. However, if you think about it, death has no sting, and the Father is no different as you know Him now, then when face to face. Saying I would pray more, or saying I would witness more is a little bit to late to decided to do what God said do. It shows a conscience of someone who knew they should be doing better for the Lord and has not done better. So instead of saying I would pray more, which your going to be right there with him anyway, Live everyday with nothing undone in our thinking that we could have served and done better for the Lord. This way, if the Lord says on Monday, your coming home on Friday, You don't have to consider a thing, or change things at all. If on Monday you think you could have done better, it's to late. Blessings.
  21. What I am saying is that we are all not money grubbing, prosperity name it and claim it people. (Well, I am) but lot's of us are not.
  22. You say a lot but what I would like to see is one who actually does what is written and and demonstrates in Spirit and in Power. Anyone can tell someone else they approve/disapprove of what they say or study the material and put out a lengthy post but I am wanting badly to find people who can demonstrate faith in action. Gary, have you ever been talking with someone, then something inside you just came up. You suddenly knew the right thing to say at that right time. When you said it, it effected the person, they saw something they could not see before, it became clear to them the cause of something or gave clear direction to them. It came up to you through a Word of Knowledge or Word of Wisdom. The Holy Spirit helped you according to your faith and anointing on you. Have you ever had someone just come up and ask if your a Christian without saying anything? What they are picking up is that tangible power of the Holy Spirit on you and coming out from you. being believers we get use to the presence of God on our life, don't notice a thing. Others will. So go back, examine your own Life, and recall those times you knew God was involved. It's not good enough we just speak the Word, the power and help from the Holy Spirit has to also be there else we won't get through to anyone. It's there in some degree. If you want to see this in action, then the best answer is go ask God to lead you to the place to grow in understanding and faith. Who the Lord tells you to follow and listen to is the one that has the example you need for your own ministry. You certainly just don't want to walk into any Pentecostal church to see them hanging off the rafters and rolling all over the floor. That might be a good example of crazy, but might not a real good example of what your seeking. Ask God, examine churches and the one that seems right will just become real to you. Don't go there to judge, just go to listen. Heb_6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. As a new believer years ago, I had an example of men who operated in the gifts. One guy came to me and said, the Lord told me to tell you this, and it was exactly what I was praying about and He knew things I never told anyone. I followed what he told me and God did some awesome things in that situation. I never had that happen to me, and it really impacted me. I realized God wants to help people more than what we think He does. In everything. I wanted to be able to do that for others, Had no clue on where to get started though, I just wanted that operating in my life. I also wanted to speak in tongues, no idea how that was going to work out either. What I did is start paying close attention to the men I was with, and grabbing all I could for those that "Claimed" to operate in the power of God. years later, the Lord has used me in some amazing things, and still learning. We are the body of Jesus Gary, we are connected to the Head. What Jesus did on earth, He would like the place in us to continue what He did. If we are decreased to where Jesus has full say in all we do, then you will see some amazing things. If you really seek Gary, You are promised that you will find. It may seem small at first, may not seem much, but keep walking in the direction the Lord has you and down the road you will look back and think what an amazing God we have. Be blessed.
  23. That is a pretty good answer. Surprising from one that does not under stand the "right" WOF teachers. very surprising. That needs some Work Gary. I tell the rest what the Anointing is. First, ever single believe has the Holy Spirit. I'll let the confusion of being Baptisted in the Holy Spirit as a power to witness with signs out of this. Joh_16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: As a believer, we have Christ in us or Christ (The anointed one and His anointing on us) Christ means Anointed, or His Anointing. When we talk to folks, if we trust in that power on us, the Holy Spirit can deal with the heart of a person, and give us the right words to say. How often have you talked to someone, and just had a scripture come up, or just knew what the real cause of someone's issue where, even if they did not see the root of the problem? That is the Witness with us to show Jesus. Every believer has some tangible power on them. It can be increased, or it can be set to almost zero. This power extends past our ability to reach hearts, and works with us and helps us. Luk 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. The anointing on us, Like Jesus can be so strong as to effect even the cloths we wear. Paul for example had a handkerchief that held the anointing that was on him. Peter's shadow went by people and they were healed. It was not his shadow doing the healing, but his close proximity. In Jesus case, many were touching him and bumping into him, but one person in the crowd had faith, and came expecting something saying, If I could just touch his rob, I will be healed. The women with the issue of Blood through faith, connected to the anointing that was on Jesus. How to operate and increase the anointing: Gal_3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? The Holy Spirit operates in line with the Word of God, and hearing of faith. If your telling folks God is mysterious, and you just never know, there is not a lot of faith in that, so you would not expect any results. It was faith that connected to the anointing on Jesus and the women revived that power to heal her. Eph_3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Staying rooted and grounded in love, and having that constant knowing that you have the power of God in you. Christ in your own heart, Or the Holy Spirit the power of the anointed one in your spirit. Believing your anointed, gives confidence in God's ability in you. Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Saying to yourself Psalms, confessing scriptures to yourself, hymns of songs you know, singing in the Spirit (spirit) tongues and staying focused on the Lord and not thinking about a subway sandwich all day can increase the anointing. Trusting in the Anointing to witness and help others. 1Co_2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power Often times believers just give scriptures they know, and try to help people through their own wisdom, being ignorant that we should be hearing the Holy Spirit, telling us about the person and telling the person in power and demonstration of that power. It's easy to tell carnal help, with someone who is anointed in power to help. Carnal help often gives worldly advice with some scriptures thrown in.We can seek to do better and trust in the Holy Spirit in our life to be that witness. Not based on our own knowledge, but based on the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit and what he gives us to share. Special anointing for office callings and gifts: Eph_4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; A person anointed to be a teacher is not the same type of anointing or gift that a Prophet or Pastor would have. A Pastor not only is gifted in giving messages in power for his people, but there is also a mighty anointing to get direction for his church, keep the bills paid, and run the adminastrative part of His Church the Lord gave him. The Pastor's anointing is constantly on and covers many things to run a church. A teacher's anointing would be "ON" when He/She gets up to teach. A teacher would not be equipped to handle a whole church or do the other task a Pastor would have to do. There are also anointing to do other things besides just speaking positions. To be a doctor, a lawyer, to serve God as a school principle. Everyone is called to do something, and there is ability to do those things. Trying to do good things in a area your not called to do, or have the anointing to do messes things up really bad, and you see this all the time. It causes the person frustration, and they are confused why things are not working like they should. If you go a couple years of no growth, and it's one mess after another, out of money, then it's time to check if your really in the right position and not trying to fill a position God never called you to do. Just because it seems like a good scriptural idea, is no indication its a good scriptural idea for you. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (Eph 5:17-19) you could write a book on this, who likes to read book length material on the forums? Be blessed. Shiloah gave a great and short answer.
  24. Martin Luther was wrong. We are also justified by works. You almost understand what James is saying. Works is a justification before God. Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? If Abraham was Justified by Works, then who justified him? Abraham did not justify himself. Abraham's own works would have been as rags. James is also not talking about just faith to be born again, Jesus is talking about how faith works, including being born again. here is a clue. Rom_16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Switch the Word works, with Action. Then Look at all the examples of healing and God doing miracles. Also look at what Action that would be. Blessings.
  25. The Bible says that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Jn 1:1). The Bible also says that no man has seen God at any time. It is the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, who has "declared" or revealed Him (Jn 1:18). So the answer to your question is that it was the pre-incarnate Word (whom we now know as Jesus) who spoke to Moses and gave him the Ten Commandments. He called Himself "I AM" (in both Testaments) because He is God. Whenever we read in the OT that the Word of God came to men and spoke to them, it was Jesus. Unfortunately, "the Word" is not capitalized in the KJV to indicate who is speaking. Notice Gen 15:1 that the pre-incarnate Christ appeared to Abram in a vision and spoke: After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. That should read: After these things the Word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Wow, a trinity Question, not a who gave the commandments. We also have a oneness Pentecostal here using the Word Triune. More likely a modalist, Jesus being reduced to a thing, or a saying (Dabar) Just amazing. It was the Father, that gave the 10 Commandments. Having a promise saying on this day a son Is born, on this day I have begotten thee. Psa_2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. That spoken Word did not return void, but came to pass, John Saying. Joh_1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Jesus is not a word part of some god machine. He is Lord, not a piece of something, not just some words, but King of Kings. wow. The Word God spoke, was made flesh, he only Begotten of the Father. How hard is it to compare scriptures? Fulfilled as mentioned in Acts Act_13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. God fulfilled His spoken Word, the Word God spoke made Mary Pregnant. Not Jesus being some thing, or some word part of a triune god system. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (Heb 1:1-2) Who spoke in the days of the OT prophets? Who's son spoke when the last days started to tick down that 2,000 years? Who's name means the Word (not the physical and spirit word itself, but name means the Word) speaking in the last days? Does he have a Father? It's in scripture, where is the confusion coming from? If Jesus spoke to the OT people, then the scripture must be wrong.
