I see this in the light of Cain and Able. God knew what was in Cains heart before he acted on it.. since Adam and Eves first 2 children There has been a conflict between pleasing God and being pleased with yourself. I think Paul's using Malachi and making contrast with the obvious benefits in Christ to make a point not a verse doctrin.

He is the First Fruit. Ephesians 2, Romans 8, col 1. He suffered the 2nd spiritual death, seprated from God. Decended and lead captives of the second death out. He was the first born of the spritually dead seprated from God by sin, it was our sin that seprated him not his. that how i understand it, anyway.

You need to open your bible and let God reveal the truth in his Word. Every letter and record in that bible is inspired by God to answer you. Not all the people that will answer this are inspired by God.

The answer you get here and from your pastor will depend on their salvation theology and doctrin of their denomination. I suggest you open your bible and prayerfully consider all of 1 cor 6. Because Paul is correcting the church at Corinth for morale failures. It seems to me you would be better off if the Holy Spirit in Power by The name of our Lord Jesus Christ corrects you and frees you from the control of what you have given yourself permission to do has over you. Paul explains in 1 cor 6 12 “Everything is permissible for me,”[e] but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be brought under the control of anything. Remember this same Apostle in this same letter 1 Corinthians 5:5 told this same congregation he is correcting to hand a man in sexual sin over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so his spirit could be saved on the day of the Lord. Im 1 corth 6 paul explains sexual sin joins you with a prostitute. Do you really want to be under the control of a prostitute instead of Christ? It is much better to be under the control of the Holy Spirit then our Fleshly desires or worse Satan. So dont be worried. Jesus is mighty to save and repentance isnt a white knuckled work the flesh gets glory for. It's granted to us by The Lord He sets Captives free with his power, so you can have faith he can anx will do alot more then we even know to ask for. If the way some people comfort others in sin was Holy Spirit revelation from the word. I dont think this same apostal would say, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. You dont want that saved but no so blessed life your Pastor spoke of. Satan isnt compassionate, kind or merciful.

If i can offend your flesh and your sin nature and your demons with the gospel of Christ then thank God i love you enough to do so for the sake of your eternal soul. When we speak the trueth from the word it offends people. Testify to the truth anyway. When we won't go along with sinners it offends them. Do it anyway. When we dont pacify and agree with lost people, pumped up in vain imaginations of theirselves. It offends them. Never put yourself in agreement with a prifull spirit, demon or iniquity. Offend them. If a person on a path to hell is offended by you interrupting their damned existance and destruction with the truth Tell them Jesus died for them anyway. Speaking the truth in love does not mean don't offend anyone. It means if you love them you will stand between them and eternal damnation testifing of Jesus, The Cross, His Blood, Gids Mercy and praying God gives them ears to hear. The cross is an offence to the world. You bare it or you dont. I believe compromising the truth to pacify the lost and dieing is not grace its virtue signaling and pride. If a person cant bow their own knee and own flesh before the Lord and his Name to serve. I promise your not loving like Jesus loved the lost world is the least of your worries. I care first if I offend God by knowing such a great salvation and shutting the doors to heaven on others so i dont offend a lost miserable soul. Thank God Jesus is Lord of all. Cause all of was would be destroyed without him.

If the word of God, Holy Spirit and Jesus didn't convince you. How could any Christian. I wouldn't get to comfortable in you misery. If you were ever his, you will get tired of the destroyer ripping you apart so you might be saved and repent. If not.. then maybe in his great mercy you conscious will be seared soon and you can ravel in your rejection of Christ with out the Holy Spirit trying to save you. Your Judge is God not mankind.

Isaiah 33.. so when the destroyer that could not be destroyed finishing destoying he will be destroyed. The traitor that wasn't betrayed. If you read the history of kings. Gods people turned away would start being barbarians. He put them in the hands of the destroyer.. that get tired of sin. Call on God. He would send King to deliver them. Then that king would die. Then they would sin again chase after other gods. Make a huge mess of everything, repent . Call on him again, with love and comppsion he answered raise up king and destroy their enemy. Then that king would die. And on and on. Till he established the throne for ever with Christ. So nations rage, sinfull are making messes out of everything. Jesus or King protects Gods People and eventually will destroy the destroyer and usher in his kingdom with his people. So basically God created adam and eve to come together as one. Multiply and fill the earth with flesh and blood sons and daughters. Serpent tainted the seed. So God blessed eves womb to recieve his seed. Then Jesus by heavenly seed becomes one with us by spirit and muliplies to fill the kingdom of heaven. Verse doctrines can be cons. Rat posion is 90% corn. Paul uses alot of torah examples to make a mystery from the beginning of creation known/ and show Gods Word fulfilled in Christ. I think it's fine to ask God why. Moses, Joshua and david asked him,why? Several old and new testiment saints did. And so did Jesus. Why have you forsaken me? Understanding is a gift of the Spirit. Hopefully the Holy Spirit is giving a hunger and thirst for the word so people are wanting to read every word and study And hopefully the love of God is moving all Christians to offer prayer and supplication on behalf of all man. And the desire of extending hands to those in bondage and need. As far as the local organisation of ministry's in your area developing, dicipleing, covering and exorhating Christians to pursue all Christ has made available to us. You should probably not forsake gathering with your kinsmen for coperate expression and expression of your faith and operations to develop your gifts and God given talant. As far as behavior goes. I think mentoring is Good, accountanily groups, christian counceling, some times the stronghold are pretty hard to break, when you strughling by yourself. You do not want to try to perfect yourself and create an appearance of godliness but dening Jesus' promises is what make that power available for every good work. He is patient and nit many completely forsake the great command to love one another as he has loved us without severe conflict in their soul. Hi Caitlin, It's normal. There are over 100 scriptures giving us comfort, encouragment, instruction on how to win this battle in our mind. First, the fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom. So take a deep breath. Your in a good place. Proverbs 9:10 Second, we love because he loved us first. So just think on that a bit. He loves you. The King of glory loves you and your whole being desires to love him back. 1 john 4:19 Third, you heard the gospel and believed. Do you know while he was in the flesh on this earth Jesus prayed for you? Starting at John 17:20 but i recommend you completely read john 17 I believed the gospel when a friend took me to a youth rally at 13. The only scripture i knew,coming from an athiest family was romans 10:13 "whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" i didnt know anything else i went foward when they called and God loved me and jesus was my Lord and would save me. And i was forgiven. By 20 i had had an abortion was living with my boy freind and found a bible at the house we were renting. I flipped it open only to find i was in big trouble with a holy just and righteous God and had done so many things with the punishment of death. Which my (magic old king james) bible accused me of every time i flipped it open. I literally could feel the battle between jesus and his angels and the forces of satan in a war for my soul and it was all bouncing around in my head. Like you i just wanted to be right with Him again so i kept reading and could see i was already judged. My flesh will die some day because like adam i sinned against God. But Jesus became a heavenly seed inside me and gave me a new life thats eternal and His Holy spirit inside me will raise me from my grave and ill have a new body that doesnt have sin in it. Which was pretty good news when i got to those scriptures. I just kept studying and asking Jesus about what i read not knowing i was supose to be gathering with other Christians so they could share with me the mercy and comforts they recieved. But the Lord was so faithful and eventially got me where i needed to be. So more mature christians could help me. My point is you can't make things right with God that's why He sent Jesus so he could make things right for you. So just keep letting him love you and teach you dont let your mind chase you away. Remember your mind is part of your flesh and not everything you think is true. But Jesus is the Truth and he is holding on to you. And nothing can ever seperate us from Gods love. Romans 8:31-39.

There are several scriptures that encourage us to keep growing . This one comes to mind 2 peter : 3 His[c] divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by[d] His own glory and goodness. 4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, 6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, 7 godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Because, I want to slow it down and cover it step by step. So people that are stuck, can walk it out and people that don't understand one another can hear each other's thought process. If your a sinner and Holy Spirit or maybe Satan is tormenting you that you are being judged by God? And you call on the Lord and you still are tormented like your under judgment. What have you missed In the word or is that normal? What has the person not heard or recieves to comfort and encourage them? Their are confessed Christians on her still tormented by Satan. Slow it down, so it's evident and they can see it and recieve it. people are spouting out everything they learned in 10 to 20 years in one post. Same thing over and over again. Instead of leading people through the path of the mercies they themselves recieved. You see the second part but others only see the first part cause they are not free and at the second part yet. They are still in torment and judgement. And we should care about that not just proclaim people unsaved since its mature Christians that are suppose to help the weak in faith not Lord their position over them.

Breaking of God's Law. Rebellion against God's Soveignty. Refusing him his right as creator to govern your life and this world. Stubborn defiance. No trust in his instruction or his judgment. Betraying him, abandoning him, rejecting Him, ignoring him, twisting what he said, so we can get what we want. Even insulting him and hating him, cursing him, defieing him, complaint he is unjust, unfair, tyrannical. Wanting to be God and Lord over our own life and create are own destiny for ourselves suppying for ourselves the needs of our flesh. Using food, drugs, sex, alcohol, blood letting (cutting ourselves and tatooing ourselves) and charms and sacrifices and spells and money, to use people, lie to people, fabricate things to be able to cope and feed our desires in our flesh and create a sence of well being. Will you grab that cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of God that submitted to Gods judgment of sin and die with him today guilty of sin? Or is there another way? Give 2 or 3 clear scriptures.

Today, if you faced your imminent death. Could you kneel at the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing you have sinned against God and his judgment against sin is rightouess and true? For the wages of sin are death. And say, yes amen, I am guilty, I accept Gods Judgement? Walk away from all your irons in the fire. You loved ones all your worldly hopes and dreams accept they end today and follow Jesus into the grave accepting Gods judgement? Take hold of that cross where our Lord is dieing and except the judgment of God and your death? Listing to him say I'm thirsty, hearing him cry abba father, why have you forsaken me? Having his blood drip onto your hands and you? Can you trust him and die guilty of sin, Today? Give 2 or 3 clear scriptures, no commintary no opinion why you could die Today and trust the Lord and walk into that unknown, leaving everything in your life. And will you give me 2 or 3 scriptures (clearly stated with no narrative) that encourage you and give you the knowing that excepting Gods judgment and accepting your death is the path to a new life.
