Saints and The Faithful
Behold replied to dhchristian's topic in The Substance of Man: Body, Spirit, Soul
Its the New Testament that declares a born again person to be a "Saint". Not quite sure what you are following.....probably a commentary? Seems so. See this Thread for clarity. https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/252518-saint-not-a-sinner/ -
With God all things are possible. God said.."is there anything too difficult for me"? God is Love, and the power of that Love IS the power of change for us all.

Here is a verse about works that you should do.....>"present your body a living sacrifice". Here is another...."Give to the poor". Here is one..."be ye holy as God is holy". Also, Cain was not rejected for his Pride, he was rejected for not bringing Blood, whereas Abel was accepted because he brought blood. And i really dont even think about candlesticks or pre-trib or mid. Got other things to do.., @OneLight

Lots of confusion about this word "homosexual" It actually simply identifies a person who performs as a LIFESTYLE< "same gender sex acts". Its the SEXUAL orientation that defines this person... In other words....if you perform "Gay Sex ACTS", same gender sex acts, as a lifestyle then this defines you as a "homo-sexual". If you perform sex acts with both sexes as a lifestyle, then you are a BI-Sexual. If you perform sex acts with the opposite sex only, you are a Hetero-sexual This is why "sexual" is in the word, which excludes it from being an ethnic group. Gay sex acts, are "same gender sex acts" performed as a LIFESTYLE. = Homo-Sexual

I only agreed that Cain has Pride. However God didn't reject him for his pride, God rejected him because he didn't offer another's BLOOD, whereas Abel, did. Also, we are to walk in the Spirit, and we are to live Holy. We are already "living in the spirit" by being born again. And no, i dont teach that "anything that has to do with works, is Legalism'.....What i teach is that trying to keep yourself saved by works, to teach this, is Galatians 1:8.. Its a false gospel. Any Christian knows we are to do good works..... as a lifestyle, but we are not to teach that by not doing them we lose our salvation, or that BY doing them we are keeping ourselves saved, as that is the heresy.. that ALL Legalists all teach. = This is how you recognize them @OneLight I wrote 2 Threads today, that teach the basics regarding how to live a holy lifestyle without falling or repenting.. You might want to check them out. alright then, -B

@OneLight, God didn't reject Cain's pride.. He rejected Cain's offering. You , me, all of us have Pride..... but we are told to "come boldly before the Throne of Grace", even with our pride.... And Why? Because of the Offering of JESUS that is the BLOOD that God accepts on our behalf, = allows God to accept us. So, Cain is the first legalist. He is the first one who tried to be accepted by God, based on what God does not accept... = works, self effort. These days, that would be the gospel of works (Legalism) that rejects Eternal Security. And certainly Cain's pride made him try it... we both see that clearly..... and it was this same wounded pride that turned his envy into Murder. As the scripture says..>"who can stand before envy"?

The false teaching that "saints" are separated from the rest of the "elect" is someone's theology that is rejected by most of what you would refer to at mainline denominations. The reality is this....when you are referring to the "time of the gentiles", then anytime you see the word "elect", then just exchange it for "born again", and this way you eliminate terrible theology and nonsense. The Law defines a sinner as a sinner. Grace defines a born again person, as a saint. -
No, like this.... "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Notice that this verse has the word GOD in it. The NIV does not. As it takes GOD out of the verse.

Im prepared to address anything you can possibly think of.....no worries. And when you realize that Paul had the "Signs of an Apostle", and you do not......and Paul was gifted by the Lord to do more by himself then all the other 11 Apostles combined, and that is not the average believer, and the fact that Paul died and went to heaven, and came back.... Listen, you can't equate your personal Christian Experience with someone like Paul......as this man was given more......He had more.....He was a much more elevated Spiritual person then the average believer, so, when he talks about something that he can do , that is more then the average Christian can do...then he could list a lot more then "tongues" that they will also never be able to do as MUCH. So, you have to keep some context on some things.....and trying to compare the mystical spirituality that Paul maintained as if this is "normal christianity" is really missing the big picture, totally. by about a mile.

In the context of talking about "tongues" Paul said, "seek earnestly the best Gifts" 1 Cor 12. So, there are better, as defined by "best Gifts", according to Paul. Notice where its located in the List. Its the last. So, #1 is the "best", which is "word of Wisdom"

Yes. That is so true. God's love as well as His salvation is not based on our future behavior. Its based on God's love alone, who as Paul said., "loved me and gave Himself for me". Mercy is not God's Mercy if it comes with conditions. The Gift of God's love is not based on a requirement that you later prove you were worth it.

If you are an unbeliever, never been born again, then you are under the law. If you are born again, you are under Grace. "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law".. "you are no longer under the law, you are under Grace" What does it mean to be "under"? It means each has authority over you, according to how it functions legally and spiritually. The law defines you as a sinner. Grace defines you as a Saint, as a Son, as a Child of God, as Brethren, as the Redeemed, as a Child of the Light... etc.

The Kingdom of God is a Spiritual Kingdom. Its this one...."the born again are translated from Darkness to LIGHT". Jesus is the "Light of the World", and the Born again are "Children of the LIGHT" Its this....Romans 14.... "For the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."" Its the Spiritual Kingdom of God, that we are Born again >INTO.... The KOHeaven is a earthly situation that Christ will Rule.

And what is your definition of "mercy", as you say is found in the bible? Why don't you post it?
-
And thank you for expressing your opinion, also.
-
"Where sin abounds, Grace more abounds" is not suggesting that because we are "made Righteous", we are to live in the opposite direction.
-
If salvation is a Bank, then the Blood of Jesus is an endless deposit that keeps on paying out for eternity, on our behalf.

Its a joke. God has a sense of humor. Try it for yourself.

The Lost Promise is beginning to be found...and believed!
Behold replied to Gideon's topic in General Discussion
Yes, i agree. Here is something that is interesting to me.. Religion says....>"i will make myself BETTER by myself" Christianity says...."God has made me Righteous, by the Blood of Jesus". A Legalist says.....>"Jesus saves...sure, but now i am to keep myself saved. = Jesus started it, and i must finish it". Paul says...If you teach that you are to keep yourself saved and think this.., then you are "fallen from Grace" and are Galatians 1:8 -
Not exactly. It was not "cain's pride" that was rejected by God..It was Cain trying to bring his self effort to God instead of the BLood. This is the problem the Legalist has. They will comment that Jesus saves, but they dont believe that He keeps them saved.. So, what does ? THEM... And they'll show you their works, and James talking about dead faith, and they talk about living holy, and self, self, self, doing doing doing.....and all that is SELF EFFORT....or the Error of going to God as Cain did, bringing WORKS< and God said. GET OUT!! Cain killed ABEL, not because of what Abel offered, but because Abel was ACCEPTED and He was not.......so, that envy became murder. And the final Apostacy, is that most believers are not believing that Christ keeps them saved... they are "fallen from GRACE"....they are in face self savors who will argue against OSAS. And what is that? That is the belief that the God who saved you ONCE, Keeps you always Saved. So, when that freaks someone out, then they are self righteous, and do not accept that Once they are saved by the Blood, they are Kept by the Blood.

When we preach or witness or otherwise share the Gospel, we are offering unbelievers the "knowledge of the TRUTH".. The Holy Spirit opens and reveals this LIGHT to them, (Draws them to the Cross)//// and they SEE themselves as a sinner needing to be saved = as TRUTH.... Some who didn't resist the Spirit's call, joined us today in this world as our new brothers and sisters "in Christ".

I need to repent of not hating Rap Music enough.

The POV of "King David" is.....>"why do i have to listen to Prophets, why can't God tell me"... so, If that sounds like what you'd like to hear with handsome R. Gere playing the King, jump in. A better movie, much better with him in it, is, """Hachi: A Dog's Tale"" Its a very sweet movie, that mostly tries to be unoffensive and just sweet. And does teaching a Gospel using mouth or music or media that does not agree with the Grace of God, harm? ????? Only every single person's faith it tries to corrupt. = 100%

Ok, well, i said nothing about anyone giving me a "thumbs up".. only that you could read say, my last 20 Threads, as they cover a good bit of territory. If you started with "in comes the devil", and just keep going, you'd see that there is a a lot to eat.
