Disregard for one another is due to the fact that you and I have a sin nature. While we may know Jesus Christ as our Savior we still battle the sin nature that is in us. That battle will continually be fought until we are in heaven with the Lord. Once we are in the presence of the Lord sin will no longer have a hold on us and we will be made completely perfect in Christ. "No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. (Revelation 22:3)." So once in heaven because sin will no longer exist we will not disregard anyone anymore. Sin will be gone. While there may be nothing we can do sin we can surely go out and tell others about Christ. That is our responsibility and a commandment by Jesus to do so (Matthew 28:19). So yes while we long for heaven we still have work to do here for the Lord. Because sin will not longer be present in heaven pain and suffering will be gone as well. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Revelation 21:4)". We will not look back and be ashamed because we will be looking to Christ instead. This world will no longer be remembered. Sin causes us to fall. We fight it on a daily basis. We have to put Christ first and strive to live for Him. When we do fall we repent and turn from that sin.

What You Soul Is What You Will Reap: Sin:
Jaydog1976 replied to oduma101's topic in General Discussion
Sin is sin regardless of what it is. The consequences of sin can be different. However the wonderful news is that while we have a sin nature, as believers are are not longer bound to that nature because of Christ. Romans 6:14, "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." Romans 6:5-7, "For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin." It is comforting to know that while I have a sin nature and yes I know that sin does have consequences. But I also know that grace abounds, not that I keep on sinning, and that we have a mediator that stands between us and God and that is Jesus Christ. I Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus" Romans 8:34, "Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." -
Not sure about the credibility of the sites that you posted. All three almost lean extreme right wing. Not saying that is bad in itself but anyone can find information that is biased to their way of thinking. I'd encourage you to do more research and look at both conservative and liberal articles relating to this issue. But thanks for the information. I will look into it a bit further and then comment on it after I read them.

Can you show me where you got these facts from? I have looked that the origins of common core and never saw this. So if you would direct me to where you got this information that would be really great. Thanks.

What did you think of the new Star Wars: Rogue One?
Jaydog1976 replied to GoldenEagle's topic in General Discussion
I liked it actually better than the Force Awakens. At least it was an original story and not a remake. While I liked the Force Awakens I really felt, as most people did, that it copied from A New Hope way too much. I did watch both twice in the theater. But I like Star Wars so it was worth it. At least they weren't horrificly done like Star Wars 1 - 3. -
Can a good christian also be a politician?
Jaydog1976 replied to opportunitykenny's topic in General Discussion
I don't see why not. Just because there are corrupt politicians doesn't mean a Christian can't go into the field. I have no problem with it and unless someone can convince me from scripture why it would be wrong then we are just discussing opinion. -
It may have taken 37 years to live in a delusion but it will only take a moment to find out that you believed in a lie. I hope that you will find the truth before that moment hits.
-
Not worth the time and effort it takes to type responses. If you feel that you need to live in your delusion when the truth has been actually presented then that is that choice that you have made. I won't respond anymore in hopes that your spreading your delusion will subside.
-
Unfortunately TheEnd you are not a prophet and have deceived yourself. You are not God and you are not Jesus Christ. So no I will not listen to your voice because it is not truth no matter how much you say it is.
-
Gospel has been presented and nothing more can be said. You clearly are trolling and I don't have time for trolls. I will pray for you though that God might open your eyes to the truth. End of conversation for me.
-
TheEnd I can't tell if you are just trolling or are really serious about your view. Either way your are not preaching truth.
-
Are your God? This is your claim right now. TheEnd this is a very scary place to be. Anyway I will leave you with the gospel message so that you know what truth is. Other than that your texts absolutely mean nothing and are no different then other false teacher, false prophets and trolls that get into this forum. But here is the gospel message in a very plain way, Romans 3:23 NKJV – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 5:12 NKJV – Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned– Romans 6:23 NKJV – For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 NKJV – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9-10 NKJV – that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:17 NKJV – So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. John 3:16 NKJV - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Well that is all we can do since you clearly do not know who the Lord is and what the gospel really is. I hope that you will read the scriptures and come to know the truth of who God is.

Even though your whole response doesn't make any sense I was curious as to what you meant by this statement. Is Christ some sort of invisible spiritual knowledge? Where is this found in the Bible?
-
First of what is information called Christ? Is there a scripture passage that refers to this? I have searched the scriptures and can't find this at all. Now I am very familiar with the good news of Jesus Christ (the gospel). Read I Corinthians 15. This passage is a very good passage in understanding what the good news is. Unfortunately I am not seeing that you have an understanding of what scripture says. Again where are you getting this information? What scriptures are you using to support your statement. What I am seeing here is a bunch of opinion that doesn't even line up with scripture. What I am reading from this is that you believe that everyone will be saved. Scripture says differently, Matthew 7:13-14, ""Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." I guess my question is what is the good news of Jesus Christ (what you referred to as information called Christ). I am more concerned about what your relationship is with Christ. And from what I am reading I am not sure if you completely understand who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Again please use scriptures to support your theories and opinions. On this particular part of your post you are way of base. Could you please clarify what you mean by the statement above? And also where in scripture you find this? At this time I am going to have to look at this theory false because it does not line up with what scripture teaches. I would again encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 15 in its entirety. Paul does a great job explaining what it will be like when we are in our glorified bodies. That is if we have trusted in Christ. TheEnd with all due respect your ideas are not lining up with scripture and from what I can tell you don't even know what God's Word really says. Your words sound good but that is all it is. I would encourage you to get into the Word and do some better study of it. I would also recommend maybe even doing some good Bible studies from good and godly men like John McArthur, John Piper, and there are some other ones out there that do a really great job helping you understand the scriptures a bit better.

Measure of faith do some get extra? Or does it grow when you use it?
Jaydog1976 replied to a topic in General Discussion
I don't believe that God gives each person a specific dosage of faith. That isn't biblical anyway. However, our faith grows and develops as we grow in knowledge of the Lord. This can only be accomplished by reading His word, obeying it and living for Him. Faith has to be exercised to grow and most of the time that is through trials that the Lord allows us to go through. -
I am trying to figure out what you mean by this statement? Is it sarcasm or do you truly believe this. Just needing some clarification.

While I agree with some of your quote here I am having a hard time buying that Soros is a forerunner for the the Antichrist. What sources do you have that indicates this fact? Soros is an ungodly man for sure and does not have any interest in doing what is right. I don't condone his behavior, speech or anything else he does. 2 Thessalonians 2 is a great read into how the Antichrist will come into this world. We have to be careful that we are not looking for some prophetic fulfillment in every thing that happens. People are evil and say evil things. People throughout time have claimed they were the messiah. However as believers we need to be more concerned with spreading the gospel and teaching others how to grow in the Lord and not worry when the Antichrist will come. We know he is coming and we will know who he is immediately. But I do know it is great to speculate and try to figure things out. The bigger question that needs to be focused on is are we ready for Christ to come again and what will the Lord find us doing when he does come back again. I for one hope that he finds me spreading the gospel and teaching others how to grow in him. Again while I agree with most of the quote I kind of have my doubts that soros is a forerunner for the Antichrist. I guess I would have to have a bit more substantial evidence than just one article.

I don't believe he is saved because of how he acts, reacts and the way he talks. I am just gave my own opinion and again will say that I don't know his heart. That is between him and the Lord. Hey I don't disagree with you on Obama. So did I. Yet the nation elected him yet again for a second term. Clinton would be bad news for this country also. I don't have much faith in Trump either. I voted for him because he was the best out of the two. But I for one will not be disappointed when he doesn't do what he said he will do. True Moses was a murder and did things in his own way. However I don't see how the story of Moses correlates with Trump? True I don't know Trumps heart however wouldn't you think though that if he was a Christian there would be some fruit of that as well? Just curious.
-
I don't hate Trump as a person because Christ died for him just as much as He did for you and I. I don't trust him. There is a difference. I also don't trust him to restore Christian values to this nation. That is not his responsibility. It is our responsibility as Christians. Now should Trump lead according to how God says he should? Sure Trump should. Will he? I doubt it. I see Trump's presidency as a calm before the storm kind of thing. The storm will be when he is no longer president the liberals will vehemently attack those they blame for him being elected as president: Christians. While I don't know the future I can tell you that the left is waiting for the day to eradicate those that oppose everything they support. It will happen it is just a matter of when.

Sorry all didn't mean to hit the save button twice. The system hung up and I didn't know if I hit submit or not. Again sorry

There is one thing missing from Trump that the three examples that you gave had. It was a fear of the Lord. Moses was the meekest man on earth and was considered God's friend who God spoke to face to face without using riddles. David was a man after God's own heart and Solomon was blessed by God because of his humility (yes he chose sin later on yet I believe changed heart which is manifested in Ecclesiates). I don't know who James Robinson so I can't really trust him as a source but I have watched Trump and how he acts. It is a pretty good indication of where his heart really is at. I know we don't know his heart for sure but I have some serious doubts to his salvation. But that is between God and him. Also there are a lot of parents that raise up good kids but it doesn't mean they are saved so that doesn't count as a good indicator of whether someone is saved or not. If a person voted for Trump because they think that he will bring the US to it's knees in humility before God then they are sadly mistaken. Trump will not do this because I don't think he is truly saved. Again I could be wrong and I really hope that I am. However will Trump protect our freedoms that are written in the Constitution? Who knows. He may or may not. My gut instinct says no but I am willing to give the man a chance. Thus thats why I voted for him. He was better than the alternative.

Xdog when I read this passage I believe he is talking about the actual book of Revelation not the whole Bible. However, we are never to add to God's Word period. He is the final word and the words we read in the Bible are inspired by God himself, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(NIV)". When reading this verse in the context it is written it it is hard to not see that the verse applies to the book of Revelation. However I know many godly men and women, including my wife, that believe it refers to the whole Bible not just Revelation. Personally I think it is only a surface argument because we know, if we are truly His, will not add our own words, thoughts and ideas to what God has already said. Sadly though many try and it doesn't take long to see through their false teaching. We need to always take God's word at face value and live how He asks us to live day in and day out. God said it and that settles it whether I believe it or not. This is an interesting topic and I would like to see what other people think about this passage and what it means.

Is JESUS your Lord or just your saviour
Jaydog1976 replied to emanuelf323's topic in General Discussion
I Jesus my Lord and Saviour? He sure is. Regardless of whether I read the KJV, NIV, NKJV, etc I am saved because I have trusted in what Christ has done for us on the cross. -
I guess it all depends on how you look at the Star Wars movies. I'm strong enough in my faith that the force doesn't cause me to stumble. Now if the movies cause you to feel that it threatens your faith by all means don't watch them. Personally I like the movies and it is all a matter of personal preference and what you feel you can or cannot watch. The movies were meant to entertain and that's all. I again by no means correlate my Christian walk with the movies. Am I looking forward to the Rogue One film coming out this week? Oh Yeah!
