  1. I don't believe this discussion is going to progress further with scriptural facts being what is accepted at one point, Jesus is God the Father, is denied shortly thereafter with the statement, Jesus is not God the Father.
  2. What Orthodox Christians Believe BAPTISM is the way in which a person is actually united to Christ. The experience of salvation is initiated in the waters of baptism. The Apostle Paul teaches in Romans 6:1-6 that in baptism we experience Christ’s death and Resurrection. In it our sins are truly forgiven and we are energized by our union with Christ to live a holy life. Nowadays, some consider baptism to be only an “outward sign” of belief in Christ. This innovation has no historical or biblical precedent. Others reduce it to a mere perfunctory obedience to Christ’s command (cf. Matthew 28:19, 20). Still others, ignoring the Bible completely, reject baptism as a vital factor in salvation. Orthodoxy maintains that these contemporary innovations rob sincere people of the important assurance that baptism provides-namely that they have been united to Christ and are part of His Church. NEW BIRTH is receiving new life and is the way we gain entrance into God’s Kingdom and His Church. Jesus said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). From the beginning, the Church has taught that the “water” is the baptismal water and the “Spirit” is the Holy Spirit. The New Birth occurs in baptism, where we die with Christ, are buried with Him, and are raised with Him in the newness of His Resurrection, being joined into union with Him in His glorified humanity (Romans 6:3,4). The historically late idea that being “born again” is a religious experience disassociated from baptism has no biblical basis whatsoever.
  3. I think it is great that Putin is making this move. Because then Assad's gas assault on his people will come to the fore in that meeting with the UNSC. Maybe that's his intentions all along. Only this makes him appear to be working with his boy Insane-Assad as he seeks to bring President Trump to the forefront of the issue as relates to the bombing that followed.
  4. I would suggest it isn't the Korean people in the north but their insane leader that makes for the suffering there. Pray for our Navy and for those who would to seek Christ as they try to survive under Kim Jong-Un's domination, but shall be slaughtered for it if they dare make it known.
  5. God bless and protect President Trump and his family. And the whole of his Administration in these times. Thank God we have a President that wants to prioritize Christian refugees. Unlike the Muslim in chief that departed after eight years of betrayal of a nation. Thank you GOD! And thank the voters of which I am one. The persecution is all over the world. Soft persecution should not be overlooked either. Did you see the wonderful expression of resolve to fight that the surviving Coptic(meaning Egyptian) Christians mounted after the terrorists bombings of their churches on Palm Sunday? It has its own thread in Christian News Forum. So inspiring! They joined together and openly recited the Nicene Creed! When ISIS has vowed to divide Egypt by killing the Christians there. God be with his people in Egypt. Satan's army is thirsty for the blood of Christ's martyred. April 10 Coptic Christians Bravely Chant Nicene Creed After Bombing in Viral Video There is a soft persecution movement also afoot that hopes to divide the church by claiming Orthodox belief is not Christian. Let our sisters and brothers in Christ be aware of that movement as well. ISIS believes Christians should be put to death because they are not of God and thus do not deserve to live. Imagine God's people being assailed by those who would tell them they are not of God. Remember your armor brothers and sisters in Christ. Satan roams this world like a hungry lion seeking souls to devour. May that evil starve to death until God calls his justice upon him. And may the Father protect his people from all enemies foreign and domestic. Amen! What Orthodox Christians Believe (Excerpt) SALVATION is the divine gift through which men and women are delivered from sin and death, united to Christ, and brought into His eternal Kingdom. Those who heard Peter’s sermon on the Day of Pentecost asked what they must do to be saved. He answered, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). Salvation begins with these three “steps”: 1) repent, 2) be baptized, and 3) receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. To repent means to change our mind about how we have been, turning from our sin and committing ourselves to Christ. To be baptized means to be born again by being joined into union with Christ. And to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit means to receive the Spirit who empowers us to enter a new life in Christ, be nurtured in the Church, and be conformed to God’s image
  6. Thank you for adding that to this discussion. Perhaps the speed at which the Nigerians can learn to handle this plane is why it was chosen to fight Boko Haram? I have no knowledge about the mechanics in planes. I didn't imagine a jet engine could be joined with a prop plane. Two different speeds, functions, in my ignorance that's what I thought at conflict. I'm seeing the jet engines on commercial airliners as I write that. The nose prop on the pictured A-29 just didn't seem to line up with "jet". I appreciate the insight the far more knowledgeable here have provided this discussion. Thank you all for sharing here. Our Father's blessings surround his people. Amen.
  7. Coptic simply means, Egyptian (link) I.E. for purposes of this thread, mourning the loss of countless members of the persecuted church in Egypt that were destroyed in bombings on Palm Sunday, what is being discussed is Egyptian Orthodox Christian brothers and sisters. Who are now slaughtered in Egypt due to ISIS' resolve to divide Egypt by killing the Christians there. Think about that when you all read this thread's purpose here and what it claims of those martyred to our faith by terrorists in Egypt who do not think Christians are God's people nor do they have the right to live. 9. CHURCHPOP Coptic Christians Bravely Chant Nicene Creed After Bombing in Viral Video Author: Church Pop Editor April 10, 2017 What incredible faith! A video is going viral on Facebook that purportedly shows a crowd of Coptic Christians in Egypt chanting the Nicene Creed in Arabic outside of a church that was bombed. God bless them. The Nicene Creed they chant is that Statement of Faith that we here at WCF share with them. Pray for the persecuted church in the middle east. It is not just there where her enemies are found. But as Christ our Lord warned, all over the world. For people shall hate us as they hated him.
  10. Very good. Thank you for adding that information here brother. I had mistakenly understood it was compulsory to restrict all video content to 20 minutes. Now with this new information, new to me at least, I look forward to even more excellent videos if the staff have time to review what is offered and then to approve the offerings. Than you again OneLight. Our Father's blessings be upon you and all who staff WCF forums ministry.
  11. I'm skeptical about the announcement of hearings being that Hillary is still not behind bars. And the TSA is still operational as one of the most offensive entities in any airport in America. Without Congress doing a thing about the rules they installed post 9-11 so as to implement these trespasses and abuses by TSA. That being said, the overbooking policy is actually that which is a regulation under the purview of the FAA. NY Law Review Article NOTES TERMINAL 250: FEDERAL REGULATION OF AIRLINE OVERBOOKING
  12. The video is 2 years old. God bless the Polish Christian peoples resolve. However, their fight is to be a big one. As it is when government in EU betrays the Christian faith and its lands to terrorist aggression cloaked in the guise of this satanic faith that is Islam. The Warsaw Voice Refugee quotas Poland
  13. With respect sister, I shared the BAM link because it pertained to the Lee Strobel interview that occurred there on the 6th of this month.
  14. We're all speculating here of course because the matter is over with. However the deeper issue is still at issue. And that is United Airlines incompetence in respecting paying passengers bookings. How could the above have been handled differently? Besides upgrading their software so as to insure overbooking doesn't occur? Making the passengers still in terminal wait for another flight. Refunding their monies in total, which would be less than the amounts proffered to those paying passengers already seated in the plane ready for departure, so as to insure the overbooked passengers were serviced but flew free for suffering that inconvenience. Those passengers would not have been upset by a free flight occurring hours later than planned I'm sure. That United Airlines dispatched these police to behave in this way is reprehensible when the liability was that of UA itself. We overbooked a flight, would anyone like to surrender their seat for a later flight and a credit for a free future flight? That's how it worked when I encountered this type overbook before. And if I wasn't scheduled to meet someone at a specific time at my destination I always surrendered my seat. Free later flight, free coupon for future. Win/Win. Overbooking is the airlines fault. Thinking to rip a passenger that is a doctor especially and is bound to a destination because of patient priority off the flight he paid for should send a forewarning to all United Airlines paying passengers. Decency would have stood there and asked if anyone would like to surrender their seat. These people have a paid right not to! Because it is United Airlines fault that United Airlines is incompetent in booking flights. Passengers are being told by the majors that it is a privilege to fly. Now they're being told they could be beat up once they arrive on a flight if they do not concede to leave the seat they paid for and were seated in first. That's the real issue here too. United Airlines seated this man and all passengers on that flight. First come first served. They overbooked so they want to take passengers that are scheduled for the same flight and rip them off it, to put other passengers who were booked on the same flight in their seat? That's insane! And illogical.
  15. I would have. However, I will share with you that these kind of passenger abuses that include throwing passengers off a flight because a flight attendant is opposed to a passengers tee shirt , non-vulgar, slogan, does not happen to first class passenger. Nor to business class. It happens to those who fly in what is typically referred to as coach. I'd have given up my seat in the front of the plane having heard this commotion in the back. And then I'd have resolved to never fly UA again.
  16. I watched the video. I think it would have been a great example if people would have gotten up and left the flight. The police assaulted a passenger because United Airlines overbooked the flight. United's incompetence caused this man to be assaulted. I hope the doctor does file. CNBC has the video and the follow-up showing the doctor's bloody injury.
  17. Me too. Praying there's no heavy overcast that obscures it from view.
  18. Thank you sister. I am very much in love with our Savior and Father. As I know you are too. And I certainly understand the need to preview what is offered in video format here. There is way too much inappropriate content out there to risk something of that nature arriving in this ministry. I very much enjoyed Mr. Strobel's testimony. He was a guest on the Bible Answer Man earlier this month speaking to the release of the movie edition of Case For Christ. The BAM archives are linked below. Lee appeared on April 6th.
  19. That's something spectacular to look forward to. Thank you for sharing this here.
  20. No it is not a conditional clause. It is a certain fact of God the Father's grace through the sacrifice of his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us no one comes to him but the Father calls them. And those whom he called had their names written in the Lamb's book of life before Father created the world. God doesn't use White-Out. Those names blotted out of the book are spoken of in scripture because God's foreknowledge knew those whom would not be in the book because they would not hearken unto the truth of God through Christ. Jesus did not die on the cross to assure the worlds people tentative salvation and temporary life.
  21. There is no claim being made. There is scripture and there is that which is opposed to scripture truth. Are you aware of the term, Hypostatic Union? I'll leave this thread now . Best wishes to you. Is Jesus God? by Matt Slick Yes, Jesus is God, but the answer needs to be expounded upon. When we say that Jesus is God we're using the term "God" in reference to the divine nature. But we have to be careful because we don't want to say Jesus is God and fail to understand that God is a Trinity. The Christian doctrine of the Trinity is that God exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So, we have to be careful when we ask if Jesus is God because we have to be clear in the answer. If God is a Trinity and we say Jesus is God, then we are saying that Jesus is a Trinity. But that is not true. So in one sense the term "God" can be used to designate the totality of God as a Trinity, and in another sense it deals with the divine nature. The correct answer is that Jesus is both divine and human. In other words, he is both God and man. God has a divine nature, and Jesus possesses the divine nature as well as the human nature. This dual nature characteristic is called the hypostatic union. (continues at link in article title above)

  23. I don't think I'm quite following your line of query here. I am well aware of the topic at hand which is why I participate. What are you trying to say about Jesus not being God the Father?
