  1. “Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” -Colossians 2:2-3
  2. I really wish I could sing thanks for things, but the aforementioned problem. Sigh.
  3. St. James indicates one can be restored from Lapsi/apostasy to orthodoxy: “James 5:19-20 [19] My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, [20] let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.”
  4. Its another name. Jesus means Savior Immanuel Means God With Us So the Savior who is God With Us. God in Old Testament had many names like El Shaddai, Elohim, Jehovah, and etc.
  5. “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
  6. I don’t think Sid Roth is a good person to follow or watch. He had a guy on his show talking about Nephilim and this metal black thing in blood that separates and comes together. I say if a teacher isn’t focusing on Jesus Christ, beware. “Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus..” (Hebrews 12:2, GNT)
  7. I didn’t assume anything, I read in depth look at the Rich Young Ruler by Theologian Diedrich Bonhoeffer, in his book “The Cost of Discipleship.”
  8. I am dealing with a problem that every time I say out loud what I am thankful for, the thing I am thankful for gets destroyed or taken away. So I refrain from saying thanks except in my heart.
  9. Churches are splitting over this issues and ordination of gay pastors/priests. The Luther Church schismed into two halves, as has The Presbyterians, Methodists, and other denominations.
  10. You know, Dante in Paradiso writes of planets being spheres. The Paradiso was published in the early 1300’s, while Columbus is alleged to have brought up sphere of the earth in 1490-2. So that makes more of case people knew the planet was a sphere.
  11. My point is the Catholic Priesthood sacrifices Jesus every mass. Yes Jesus’ sacrifice replaces all sacrifice of the Jews, He is the Once For All sacrifice for Sin. But my point quoting those passages was that Jesus does not sacrifice himself over and over like Roman Catholicism teaches. We are all priests now in Christ: “from Jesus, the Christ, who isthe faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blooD, and has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him beglory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5-6)
  12. As best as ai can recall I read Christopher Columbus used the Scripture to prove the planet was a sphere in “The Light and The Glory,” By AnnA Wilson Fishel, David Peter Marshal. That info about the Greeks is fascinating. How did they determine we live on sphere?
  13. I see merit in giving, but the part about being Perfect, I believe meant something else. “Mark 10:17-22 The Rich Young Man [17] And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” [18] And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. [19] You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” [20] And he said to him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.” [21] And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” [22] Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.” The Rich Young Ruler is proud, he really had kept all the commandments and never lied or dishonored his parents?! That’s hard to believe. Jesus is testing is pride, and tells him the one thing the Young Ruler cannot do, give up his treasures on earth. The young man is a proud pious person who boasts that he had not broken one iota of the Law, “If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.” (1 John 1:10).
  14. Pardon me, are you just talking about poverty in general? I don’t see a reference to Monks, Nuns, or Sell All You Have, or did I miss something? Its how was trained in Seminary and under masters of Theology. Its how you contextualize Scripture to determine is something is for all or one, the same is for laws in Old Testament; some are universal, “thou shalt not murder,” while some are cultural, “thou shalt not pierce thine ears, for only harlots pierce their ears.” That second one is cultural, most God fearing and devout women have pierced ears nowadays.
  15. Ah accuser of brethren hello again. The accuser speaks through many of us when we jump to conclusions, he spoke through St. Peter, “Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (Matthew 16:23). In fact the devil’s other name is Catigorica, one who puts people in categories via accusation. For the record, I was not advocating taking any photos, its illegal without consent of the person being photographed in most states. You should never take a photo without permission. My point was directed to the concerned person addressing Anna’s parent and “it takes a village.” Being concerned isn’t wicked. Albeit he could have said so without the photo. Sigh.. Come Quickly Lord Jesus before we bite and devour one another, “But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.” (Galatians 5:15)
  16. No, others still “feed his sheep,” but that was directed to Peter/Cephas specifically, “Do you love me?” “Feed my Lambs.” Peter had denied Jesus three times and he is asked “do love me?” three times. Certainly Christ spoke things to one disciple that was meant for all believers too (Example, John 3:16). But the context of “feed my lambs” was to Peter specifically who was asked “do you love me?” The apostle John was there and was not told to feed lambs (John 21:20-23). There are statements that Jesus says to a singular person that are for all believers for example, John 3:16, John 6:40, John 17:1-28, and etc. Then there is specific statements for one soul (person), like the Rich Young Ruler he told to “sell all you have and follow me.” (Matthew 19:21). Jesus did not tell the rich Women of Galilee who supported His ministry to sell all they had and follow Him, one of who was Joanna, who was in charge of Herod’s finances, “along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons; Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.” (Luke 8:2-3). Monks and Nuns felt that the Rich Young Ruler, “sell all you have and follow me,” was required to follow Christ (Lady Poverty). When Jesus only asked that of one person, and not Women of Galilee, nor Zaccheus a wealthy man. Addendum: My point is we need to discern what is for all believers and what was a specific word for a person.
  17. Funny how we say “it takes a village to raise people,” but then when someone in village takes a picture and raises a concern its “error, infringement, and intrusion.”
  18. Jesus told that to St. Peter in specific, not us. It was part of he re-instatement. (John, Chapter 21). While “His Ways are Higher than your ways,” is a fact for all.
  19. The Priests of RCC are Sacros Priests, the Eucharist is treated as Jesus sacrificing himself over and over at the mass, which this violates Scripture: “And he did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal. If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.” (Hebrews 9:25-28)
  20. Ultimately people make a decision. I know a book in seminary said “pray they meet people they highly respect and are close to who will preach Christ to them. Often you will not reach your family member for Jesus, but someone else will have the favor,”
  21. Admitting you are wrong builds trust, and is a sign of character. Too many cloak their error and pretend it did not happen, which leads to lying.
  22. God is Good irrespective of how we feel about his Goodness. Can man judge God? To quote Job, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” (Job 38:4) When will we let God be God and stop questioning his goodness, his plan, and ways which are “higher than your ways.” (Isaiah 55:9)? Sometimes I feel we lack proper reverence, He is God and Superior in every-way, for example He created you!, and yet people try to put Him on trial when we all see through “a glass dimly/darkly,” (1 Corinthians 13:12)?
  23. Ol, I see its Disco Balls, but it was blurry and looked like Earth, and cosmic symbols from New Age and Hinduism. Two Worlds: Hindus believe this world is an illusion like the Matrix, and the real world lies in the path of their beliefs. (That’s what I thought the two earth looking orbs symbolized).
  24. The photo looked like a Last Airbender character with cosmic stuff.
  25. I would add that if you only let one voice speak, its brainwashing, not chooaing. She needs to be able to decide, “their prophet says submit, Jesus says decide.” Well you can’t even decide if Jesus isn’t preached, and you just allow the youth to saturate in eastern philosophies.
