The Bride is The Church: “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:6-10)

“from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood, and has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” -Revelation 1:5-6, Jubilee 2000 Bible

Those Who Are Convinced Christ Will Return In Their Lifetime
Fidei Defensor replied to Michael37's topic in Eschatology
I believe Jesus will return in our lifetime. Some signs that have only happened in 20th and 21st Centuries: Israel became a State and Country. All nations could not surrounded it in eschatological prophecy if it did not exist. Telecommunications became a thing, the whole world can now be in contact and see News in real time. Nuclear Proliferation, makes it possible for those mushroom clouds in the Prophets possible. Global Banking System/ All Banking connected, this makes it possible for the Antichrist to make The Mark of The Beast and control all buying and selling (Revelation 13:7-18) -
The context of “Many will say Lord Lord, and I will say I never knew you,” is the Judaizers of New Testament period, who call on Lord God (Jehovah) but reject Jesus who is the Lord God or who add the yoke of law and try to nullify the grace of God. Even Muslims believe their God is The Lord God, in the Koran, they believe its same God as Abraham. So they too would fall under “Many will say Lord Lord, and I never knew you,” which means know Jesus, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) You have to know Jesus, believe and confess Him publicly as Lord (Romans 10:9-10).

Actually believe is sufficient: “They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (Acts 16:31) “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8) “No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.” (Acts 15:11) -Council of Jerusalem, They Decided Its Grace. “and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” (Philipoians 3:9) “For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40) “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.” (Galatians 2:21) We are saved by grace, God’s unmerited favor when He died on the cross & through faith (believing in Him, His salvic work at the cross and tomb, and that he gives us this gift of grace and salvation). Its not works, Its Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus. Christ gave us the free gift of salvation, we have faith or believe it and in Him, we are then saved, made Elect, and Born Again.

Shall is an absolute, that you “absolutely will,” while should is less certain, as in I should quit drinking milk as lactose intolerant person. I believe Shall is the proper and correct word in John 3:16.

Jesus foretold this: ”And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building—” (Luke 17:28, NLT) The Days of Lot is Sodom and Gomorrah. -
JESUS Will Help Us Keep His Commandments; Just Ask = Matthew 5;17-19
Fidei Defensor replied to MizKJVOnly's topic in Theology
Indeed, we can only bear fruit and keep the commandments through Jesus, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) -
iconoclasm The Controversy of Images
Fidei Defensor replied to Fidei Defensor's topic in Christian Art
My point was God said to make the Ark with angels on it and the Bronze Serpent. Yes the Bronze Serpent was destroyed because a cult eventually formed around it. But you cannot ignore the Lord ordered its creation, and even Jesus references it, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” (John 3:14-15) -
Well actually The Nicene Creed divided The Orthodox and the Roman Catholics who added the Filioque (Fili means Son in Latin): “Holy Spirit Proceeds from Father and The Son.” The Orthodox stick to one Scripture: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.”-John 14:26 The Catholics and Protestants stick to two: “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father—He will testify about Me.” -John 15:26 “Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” -John 20:21-22 Its ironic bevause the passages they use against each other in debate are in the same gospel, by the same author, and so the holistic view of The Apostle John lead by the Holy Spirit is that The Holy Spirit proceeds from both The Father and Son.

Ecumenism: "Why Can't We Be Friends?"

I am sorry your mother reposed beleiving works save, when it is by grace we are saved through faith in Christ. It is too bad your Mother was unable to read Dante’s Paradiso: “Now listen well, for what I have to say contains the doctrine of important truths. Because for his own good, he would not let his will be curbed, the man who knew no birth, damming himself, dammed all his progeny, therefore, the human race lay sick below within their error for long centuries, until the Word of God chose to descend: there, moved by His unselfish Love alone, He took unto Himself, in His own Being, that nature which had wandered from its maker. Now listen to my reasoning, once joined with its First Cause, this nature was (as it had been when first created) pure and good; but by itself alone, by its own act, having abandoned truth, and the true life, out of God's holy garden it was chased. Then, if the Crucifixion can be judged as punishment of that nature assumed, no penalty could bite with greater justice, just as none could be judged as more unjust, considering the Person who endured it with whom that other nature was combined. Thus, one event produced different effects; God and the Jews both pleased by this one death for which earth shook and Haven opened wide. Now it should not be difficult for you to understand the concept of just vengeance being avenged in time by just decree. You say: I clearly understand your words, but why God did not choose some other way for our redemption still remains unclear. The reason. brother, for that choice lies buried from all men's eyes until their inner sight has grown to ripeness in the warmth of love, nevertheless, sicne men have always aimed their arrows at this mark they rarely strike, I shall explain why this choice is bvest. Divine goodness, which from itself rejects all envy, sparkles so, that It reveals the eternal beauties burning in Itself. That which derives directly from His Being from then on is eternal, for His seal, once it is stamped, can never be effaced. That which derives directly from His Being is wholly free, not subject to the law of secondary things. Created thus, it most resembles Him, most pleases Him; the Sacred Flame which lights all of creation burns brightest in what is most like Himself. These are the gifts with which humanity was privileged, and if it fails in one of these, it must fall from its noble state. Sin is the only power that takes away man's freedom and his likeness to True Good, and makes him shine less brightly in Its light; nor can he win back his lost dignity unless the void left by tha sin be filled by just amends paid for illicit joy. Your nature, when it sinned once and for all in its first root, was exiled from these honors, as it was dispossessed of Paradise; nor could mankind recover what was lost, as you will see if you think carefully, except by crossing one of these two fords: either that God, simply through clemency, should give remission, or that man himself, to pay his debt of folly, should atone. Now fix your eyes on the infinity of the Eternal Counsel; listen well, as well as you are able, to my words. Given his limits, man could never make amends, never in his humility could man, obedient too late, descend as far as once, in disobedience, he tried to climb, and this is why mankind alone could not make his amends to God. Thus, it remained for God, in His own ways (his ways, I mean, in one of them or both) to bring man back to his integrity. But since the deed gratifies more the doer, the more it manifests the innate goodness of the good heart from which it springs--so, then, that Everlasting Goodness which has set its imprint on the world was pleased to use all of its means to raise you up once more. Between the final night and the first day no act so lofty, so magnificent was there, or shall there be, by either way, for God, Who gave Himself, gave even more so that mankind might raise itself again, than if He simply had annulled the debt; and any other means would have been less than Justice, if God's only Son had not humbled Himself to take on mortal flesh." (Paradise, Canto 7, The Portable Dante, pg 429-432). -
Maybe I'm just not cut out for a forum

The trick is to ignore these accusers who are behaving like the Accuser of the Brethern. I have my own word duels here, it comes with anonymity of usernames, people think they can be cruel and abuse because no one really knows who they are. Well God The Trinity does! He will repay us for every word, “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word (ἀργὸν argon, word that is injurious, idle, unprofitable, lazy) they speak” (Matthew 12:36). -
You quoted my words out of the paragraph they were in:

Actually Rome did crush the church, people were fed to lions and used as torches. Nero even had Christian’s skinned alive and he wore their skin as clothes. In Cappadocia Christians hiding from persecution lived in caves with cielings only 1 meter (3 feet) high!

Ecumenism: "Why Can't We Be Friends?"
Fidei Defensor replied to Fidei Defensor's topic in General Discussion
There isn’t an inconsistency, I feel you arn’t understanding me. I meant charity beyond charities, that is tending to a broad sense of needs from visiting someone to monies. I claimed Catholics seem more focused on this, and had devised methods that have worked like hospitals. -
Ecumenism: "Why Can't We Be Friends?"
Fidei Defensor replied to Fidei Defensor's topic in General Discussion
I afford that our Protestant denoms have not had as long to develop charities, my point by using the long history of Catholicism was to show they have always had a knack (know how) for tending to needs. It wasn’t intended to dwarf Protestant history, but to illustrate that Roman Catholics have had a track record of coming up with great solutions to needs. -
What do you do with Christ’s words: “So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day. For my flesh is true (literal) food, and my blood is true (literal) drink. Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.57 I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me. I am the true bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will not die as your ancestors did (even though they ate the manna) but will live forever.” (John 7:53-58, NLT)

Northern America, Europe, and Middle East. I am sure there are Protestant brothers and sisters being charitable, I am simply saying Catholics seem more initutive about needs, afterall they started hospitals: The Knights Hospitallers in 1070-1291 (Roman Catholic Monastic Military Order) started hospitals in Palestine (Israel, then called Outremer) where they cared for the sick as if they were Christ (according to an enemy named Saladin Ayyubid). In fact hospital comes from their namesake hospitaller. -
I didn’t say Jesus would have called people to become Miltes Christi (Soldiers of Christ) ready to wage war. I did say we need to take into context any anti-war attitudes in The New Testament, which I argue are not prevalent, are because the goal was a) to spread the gospel, and b) raising up arms would make Rome crush the early church.

Fidei Defensor replied to Fidei Defensor's topic in General Discussion
Is the charity just towards congregants of your church or is it across denoms where you live? To answer your query, I have experianced a lack of charity on three continents. -
Indeed The Rock Jesus would build his Church on is The Cornerstone of Himself.
