  1. Jesus, in rebuking his disciples said, "Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of." (Luke 9:55) Also rebuking the Pharisees, here: Jhn 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. When we receive God's spirit, it is then that HE becomes our Father. That's why it is called the spirit of adoption. No wonder it's in our weakness His strength is made perfect....the 'strength' of the natural man comes from another source. So we need to become weak in that in order to receive strength/power that is of God.
  2. Adam and Eve received the serpent's spirit in the Garden when they fell. It was by that spirit they suddenly "KNEW they were naked" I suspect the devil is more wound up in the carnal intellect of man than we know.....a lot of what we may call talent or intelligence is fed by the devil. That is one reason the bible says what is esteemed among men is abomination to God. We who have received a new spirit, the spirit of Christ, need to die to the old and learn to rely on the new man Christ instead, His Spirit. The carnal mind cannot perceive the things of God, neither can it obey....we need to die out to it, becoming as little children again.
  3. Sad and terrible things going on. Putin is a cold-hearted murderer. Many like him become loopy....it's as though they start to receive the reward of their crimes even before judgment day.
  4. Human beings left alive..? Mat 13:39-43 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 1Th 5:1-4 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

  6. Amen. Because His kingdom is not of this world. That's what's up with it.
  7. Yep, too much for this brain, I'm afraid. Old and burned out, I guess, and Lord knows what. All I can say is that Jesus said His kingdom IS NOT OF THIS WORLD. That was His gospel to the JEW first, the gospel of the kingdom that had been prophesied and is not of this world. And Jesus and the apostles taught that the judgment is at His coming. I don't know how the unsaved can dwell on a new earth where only righteousness dwells. Yes, the Law tutored Israel to Christ Jesus, His person....who in turn opens and reveals the OT scriptures to all our understanding. Not even the angels understood, but longed to look into these things. The mystery of God hidden from the foundation of the world and only revealed in Christ.
  8. I'll just answer this one quickly right now....the message of the gospel to repent or perish, to believe in Jesus/Yeshua or perish, was to the JEW FIRST. Not my judgment, I certainly don't condemn them, but that is what the gospel preaches to the Jew FIRST, then the Gentile. Rom 9:18-20 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
  9. Yes....I haven't been looking at this particularly recently, but as far as I understand it til now, there will be a remnant of survivors of Jews/Israel in the very end before the return of Christ, at the end of the Lord dealing with them through tribulation, and they are at wit's end surrounded by their enemies. Fig tree harvest at the end, amen, as George is saying in his Fig Tree post. The Lord will have mercy on Israel then, they will be saved and then scooped up with the rest of those who are alive and remain, forever with the Lord, just as judgment day arrives. Then the earth and all unbelievers left in it will undergo the fire of His wrath and be burned up. It changes absolutely nothing about the gospel or how we think of the Jews/Israel. Not a thing. Every Jewish soul who dies without Christ/Messiah in the meantime will have to face the judgment, just as every Gentile soul without Christ does. They all need the self-same gospel...it's the gospel that will save them in the end. And I don't see how there can any shangri-la on earth for a thousand years once this whole world is judged and burned up with nobody left to populate it. Judgment day is at the coming of the Lord. The rule and reign of Christ Messiah is now and we are ruling and reigning with Him now......by FAITH. Walking by faith not by SIGHT, remember...His kingdom comes not with careful OBSERVATION outwardly, but is WITHIN. His power and authority delegated to the believer, both Jew and Gentile, treading on snakes and scorpions, casting out devils, setting captives free, healing the sick, taking ground for the Lord by rescuing souls from the enemy's camp (salvation) etc. God's word teaches that our hopes, thoughts and affections are to be ABOVE, looking at the UNSEEN......not on anything of this world. That's why we're looking for a new heavenly earth and heavens, heavenly Zion, not earthly...our mother, the mother of Jew and Gentile believers including the remnant of Israel in the end, is the Jerusalem that is ABOVE, not below. 2Ki 19:30-31 Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. “The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
  10. I can't keep up with entire threads any more. But just to say and testify that I underwent a couple of days of feeling literally disoriented, a kind of dizziness, when the Lord was dismantling the 'premillennial' stronghold in my mind. This was after I became WILLING, thankfully, through what others were saying here, to re-examine my beliefs on that, and ASKED the Lord to show me. He already began setting me straight in a more more gradual way, years ago, on Hebrew roots, after I did the same with that....laid it on the altar and ASKED Him to sift it. I became WILLING to re-examine Hebrew roots because of seeing much that was wrong with that movement. (Think all the Lord wants is our willingness.) And He teaches me entirely through His word, easily, simply, clearly, without confusion or angst or needing to wrest anything or fill in blanks with my own imagination. Graciously opening just one or two passages at a time, because I can't handle too much info all at once. This is not to condemn anybody, because I used to be in the same boat, but Hebrew roots allures through the flesh...fleshly emotions. The devil is taking advantage of our desire to see Israel saved. We have been "loving" Israel with fleshly emotions, not with the true love of God that is above our ways. There is often even craven idolatry in how we have been 'loving' Israel....and that opens the door to the devil and his delusion...which is God's judgment. But Isaiah said concerning Israel, though you be as numerous as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved and this was reiterated in the NT and we know God's word can't be broken. That's the reality for Israel as well as for peoples of the nations. Only a remnant from either will be saved....only the elect. Though I believe there will be a harvest of Jewish souls saved in the very end, in the nick of time before Jesus comes, after they find themselves in tribulation and dire straits and finally call upon God and become WILLING to believe in His Son. There is no way we should think God is sanctioning the rebuilding of another Temple in Jerusalem to 'restore' temple worship to the Jews when He Himself abolished it and razed the Temple to the ground. No way He would return to a mere weak shadow when the true substance has come....the very mystery of God from the foundation of the world. As I saw someone rightly posted, Jesus Christ is a High Priest FOREVER after the order of Melchizedek....of the tribe of Judah, NOT LEVI! And explicitly saying God will not change His mind! CHANGE OF THE PRIESTHOOD FOREVER! Due to a CHANGE OF THE LAW! There is only ONE WAY to the Father and only ever will be....and that is through Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMachiach....NO OTHER WAY. And remember that was preached to the Jew FIRST and still is the SAME gospel for them first. And if anyone preaches any other way, that is a false gospel.
  11. Somebody's math must be wrong then, since we've been in the Sabbath rest of God for 2000 years already. "Come unto me you who are weary and I will give you rest." "There remains therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God... Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest."
  12. I'm seeing this as being fulfilled when Jesus set up His eternal kingdom in the first century, and included all people and nations in it (whosoever will from the nations)......the first kingdom of man He destroyed was that of Israel, sadly. He also later destroyed that of Rome, as well as other kingdoms down through the centuries have come and gone, having been judged, and the west is now in danger of being destroyed in my opinion for defying God. But He won't finish destroying the kingdoms of man with finality until His second coming. I think of it being like King David who established his kingdom and was king of it, even though he was still fighting battles against his enemies.
  13. Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing The first tabernacle was no longer standing after the 70 AD destruction. I happen to think that another temple will be built, but it’s in defiance of the Messiah and His gospel, after God already rendered His judgment and wrath. A new temple is the will of man, in defiance of God, not the will of God. Christians need to be very careful not to get seduced by the deception associated with a new temple of stone....alluring through the flesh. Both Hebrew roots and dispensationalism are leading many right to it’s door, unfortunately, from what I can see. Love the Jews and share the gospel with them by all means, but do not follow them. Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers. Remember that if they have not the Son they have not the Father either. This scripture came to mind right now regarding the new temple: Isa 9:9-13 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart, The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together; The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
  14. I'm sorry, but according to scripture, Amir is unfortunately mistaken, the same as I was until recently. It only makes sense that the last days are the last days, ie, no more days for this world once the LAST days are over. And when Christ returns it is THE last day. Certain things happen on the last day....one is the resurrection/rapture of the saints and the other is the judgment of this world including Israel. Last means last, and that's why it's called the LAST day. And how can there be a further 1000 years after even the elements of this world are burned up and gone anyway? Jhn 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the LAST day. Jhn 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the LAST day. Jhn 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the LAST day. Jhn 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall JUDGE him in the LAST day. This world is judged and burned up on the last day including the people alive at that time who rejected the Lord and refused to repent......earth and heaven flee from His face, and that's why we the church look for a new heavens and new earth AT THE RETURN OF CHRIST according to 2 Peter 3 (which agrees with what John wrote above). Just put Revelation out of our head for a minute and try to read 2 Peter 3 standing on its own without trying to mix anything of Rev. in it. Then know that how we understand Rev. needs to not contradict what Peter (and John and other scrips) are clearly saying. I can't specifically parse everything in that book by any means, but when I reflect on how Revelation is a HEAVENLY vision....mind blowing and stupendous, and given to John years after the epistles were written, I reflect that visions can be very difficult to understand, because they can be SO 'heavenly'....speaking and showing mysteries that elude the grasp of 'earthlings' ordinarily. If we want to try and understand Revelation at least partially, it makes sense that we need to first understand what the epistles and OT teach and then apply them TO Revelation. Not try to work backwards FROM Revelation, because we NEED the scriptures which came earlier to help us understand Rev......especially since so much of what Rev says is clearly a reiteration of scriptures already written.
  15. Jesus said some are eunuchs because they were born that way and back then there wasn't much known about the science of things. Anomalies can and do occur in nature unfortunately since this is a fallen world. But the important thing is, whatever one happens to be or not be, all need to come to Christ and begin a new life of righteousness in Him.
  16. Amen. It is only seen and known by FAITH. Jesus said to the Jews, " If I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the kingdom has come to you." What kingdom?....the one that had been prophesied in the Jewish scriptures. So we're not waiting for it to come, it's already here and Jesus is it's King.
  17. Yes, because He gives us PEACE. This too is a prophecy looking ahead to the Messiah/Christ and His kingdom. He came physically to physical Zion and began preaching His gospel there...but His kingdom is from heavenly Zion, and that is where He is ruling from now. The nations here is speaking of those Gentiles from the nations who would come to believe in Him. Plowing and reaping spiritual harvests, instead of belonging to the kingdoms of this world that are constantly at war with one another.....and perhaps specifically alluding to their being no more war (enmity) between believing Israel and believing Gentiles, the dividing wall has been taken down. Eph 2:14-17 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
  18. First the natural, then the spiritual. King David was already the physical type and shadow of Christ's kingdom to come. Why would God want another weak natural kingdom after the perfect has come? And how could that be possible anyway when judgment day and the physical realm being burned up happens at the coming of Christ? Everyone in the lake of fire....who would be left to populate the earth. 2 Peter 3 says we're looking for a new heavens/earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, not the devil and not the unsaved. 1 Thessalonians 4 says we shall forever be with the Lord when He comes.... not back on this earth to be attacked by the devil and his army again! So many contradictions with believing in a future millennial kingdom. ( We better not be telling any person or nation they still have a 1000 year chance to be saved after Jesus comes.) Future thousand year reign just doesn't make sense and never did. We have to start inventing scenarios that aren't in scripture in order to try and make it make sense....called wresting the scriptures. I used to try, but never successfully. Now it all clicks into place without any wresting needed, just in understanding that Jesus' rule and reign, His kingdom come on earth, within the believer, His church, is now.
  19. It HAS been fulfilled, sis....it is fulfilled in the gospel and that is what Hebrews is saying.....the writer is saying that "this is that" which was prophesied by Jeremiah. It was fulfilled to all of Israel/Judah who were willing in Jesus' day and are willing now, along with grafted in Gentiles. The OT prophets were all prophesying and looking ahead to the coming of the Christ/Messiah and His gospel and kingdom.
  20. Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Jhn 6:14-15 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. This is one reason why Jesus was a stumbling block to the Jews.....because He and His kingdom were not what they were expecting. They needed to have their minds renewed in order to understand.
  21. Just a drop-in comment on this brother, it's such a good point. I agree it is sometimes helpful to stand in place of the Jews to try and understand how they would have understood certain things, but only up to a point....because the Jews need(ed) to have their minds renewed every bit as much as Gentiles. In fact this was intended for the Jew first, then for the Gentile. Many times the Jews of His day and even Jesus' own disciples themselves misconstrued what He was talking about. (It's troubling to me when Christians are even studying rabbinic literature, especially considering Israel's apostasy and how Jewish thought became heavily tainted by their sojourn in Babylon unfortunately.) Just wanted to get that off my chest, and not intending to take this off topic.
  22. Not following the whole conversation here at the moment, but just taking this on it's own, it's in wonderful agreement with where Hebrews talks about the need for a change of priesthood....and Jesus being our High Priest of the tribe of Judah, not Levi. Loving the simplicity of God's word, because it's about all my poor brain can handle these days.
  23. If this were only a cartoon and not real life it would make me smile. Is there any truth to what some are saying about Putin possibly changing his objective to only take over eastern Ukraine?
  24. Funny, that's exactly how I feel watching our rubbish MSM news here. Well, I'm sorry for the suffering and loss of life on both sides with this war and pray the Lord will end it as soon as possible, somehow.
