  1. As I said, read the book. Have you read the book?
  2. Only Matthew 26:30 actually speaks of Jesus possibly "singing a hymn", but it tells nothing of what it might have been.
  3. I don't hold to the views of "Full Preterists", but a thinking person cannot read Before Jerusalem Fell by: Kenneth L. Gentry, and still believe in a late date of the writing of the book of Revelation. It is just flat impossible to do so.
  4. Is that Romans 12:3? ("I'm right, so everything else has to be wrong.")
  5. That is the closemindedness I have come to expect in most replies.
  6. No, actually (if you aren't trying to read the book as a Fortune Cookie prediction) just about all the things spoken of in the first three quarters of the book did happen to disobedient Israel.
  7. I could do that, but I doubt you would be willing to read a book in which you can find much of that. If you want to read it, I may give you a link when I get back from the Gym..
  8. IF we insist on reading Revelation as only a Crystal Ball, foretelling a future time... and ignore that it was actually written to seven small, confused, and frightened churches who were seeing their friends killed, right and left... wondering if any of this relatively new Christ stuff was real and worth being slaughtered for. (Many of them had never seen the guy this new "religion" was based on. They needed John's reassurance, and he knew that as he penned that letter to them.)
  9. Thank God that He gave YOU all the facts. What would all the rest of us who obviously don't hear from The Holy Spirit do without you blessed ones?
  10. Yet "men" were totally ignorant of any of these Greek meanings until a guy named Strong finally came along and showed them how the language was to be read? If it was all hidden till he was born, how did he find it? No, I suspect the old scribes might have had just a tiny clue as to how Greek was written, and wrote it down in a way that conveyed the meaning to later translators. True, I have no doubt that various translators slanted a lot of their interpretations toward the biases of their own religious preferences. But, I keep hearing that those guys didn't didn't get it right.... no matter who translated it, or what they believed. And even we, today, are only going along with what someone else tells us was the REAL meaning of a specific word.
  11. Of course I "noticed it." What do you think I have been saying all along when I keep on challenging all these people saying that finally the year 2018 is the "Last Days" the whole world has been waiting for? I think we are a lot more confused as to what "The Last Days" were, as to the date.
  12. Does the book tell us , "as it is written", that we are to presume to read that particular "shortly" as meaning something other than when "shortly" is written elsewhere in the Bible? I mean, how do we determine that we are to change the meaning of this particular "shortly", but not the meanings of others?
  13. You mean like the simple text that says that letter was written to seven, then existing churches in Old Turkey in the 1st Century about things "that were to happen shortly?"
  14. You would probably not know the first thing about God's word, were it not for the "technology" of first, the pen, then the printing press, then the radio, then television, then the computer.... etc. As with so many other self-imposed "taboos", have we created a "red-line" in our imaginations?
  15. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of most any page and the link will be down there.
  16. It's just kind of hard to tell on these threads just who we are supposed to be against, and when.
  17. But, I thought John MacArthur runs down Bill Johnson and Bethel with the best of them.
  18. I have never doubted for a moment that he was from Kenya, and ineligible to even run for office here... let alone be elected President.
  19. This is probably my favorite depiction of Jesus since it may be close to what He actually looked like. http://www.laughteronlineuniversity.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/christ2.jpg
  20. Do you really realize how many Christian Creeds there are? (I stopped counting at 166.) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjnwqCWvrHcAhVDA6wKHeEGBvcQFggpMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FList_of_Christian_creeds&usg=AOvVaw0sF1ROiD7IvbXU1gL4Yu0n
  21. I love the last line of your "Signature." I wish more people would read it.
  22. You, Sir, are one of the wisest posters I have met on any forum. No matter the forum, you, for years, have spoken many wise words.
  23. Yet, the same thing done to me is accepted. And there really is nothing wrong with what any of us have said. Hurt feelings at being told we really aren't right in running others down is hardly something to go running to a crying booth about. (Was that insulting? No, it wasn't.... only if you choose to be insulted by just about anything you don't accept.)
  24. They certainly are. Every thread where I have disagreed with anything, I have been locked out of. And when I write George to ask what I have done that warrants silencing me, he refuses to tell me. Although he did answer by posting a string of question marks...?????????
