People need to be respected and hired based on being people and being qualified, regardless of race, religion, sex, age, ect. If a homosexual wanted a job he/she should be able to get a job because they are a person first, not because they are homosexual. And there are already laws regarding this issue of employment. This is another way the democrats are wasting taxpayers money to have more laws governing the people. Homosexuals do not need special rights. They have the same rights as the rest of the American citizens, provided that they are also American citizens. This bill oversteps our freedoms to hire people over qualified people. There was a time that my brothers could not get a job because they were white and and Affirmative Action prohibited the companies from hiring all white employees. This hurt the company since there were not enough minorities in the area to fulfill the company's quota's. They opened the jobs up to women. Some women were able to do the jobs required, most were not, which created a high turnover rate. This was a very physical demanding job lifting boxes and crates. The company really did not care what color or gender there employees were, but just wanted wokers who could do the job. Another factor, which was not created for discrimination originally, was the fact that the employees needed to be able to read. The better their reading and writing skills, the higher the promotions. Those were the ones that went into management. I am not opposed to homosexuals working. They need to eat too. But they should be hired because of their qualifications and willingness to do the job, not because they are homosexual.

I have heard of Luis Palau before and of his conventions. I have always wanted to attend one, but I think he might be afraid of the cold. He never has been north of florida or southern california to my knowledge. I have heard of many good things that have come about from his conventions. I believe you should go and have a very blessed time.

I understand some of the things she is trying to say. But I would think that the television would have been one of the first things to go out the door. I would think she would live better if she were out in the country and used very little electricity herself. I used to get headaches from working at a grocery store. The humming from the lights gave me intense headaches. At least that is what I believe. If it wasnt the lights, perhaps something else, however, the intense headaches are gone as I dont work there or shop there more than 20 minutes at a time. This might be why I like taking trips into the mountains so often. I like being away from the city and any light, sound, or stench of it too.

Ah Rusty, It's very challenging for a family members to watch over and care for a sick loved one. Though he may be getting better, and you are still wore down. I will be praying for strenght and encouragement for you both.

She wasn't warned that the inspectors were coming. There is nothing wrong with government inspections of meat and farms...but when it becomes arbitrary and unannounced, it becomes a problem. Exactly However she did tell the authorities that Harriett would not become human food. So if humans were not going to ever consume this cow, how could this cow become a danger to humans?

Big babies? I dont think so. I went through labor, twice. And pushed and pushed and pushed until I was exhausted and ready to give up. I still was not the first to touch my babies, as it was the baby catcher. Yes giving birth is an amazing experience. No matter how the child is born. Some do experience more pain, but the miracle of birth is still the same. A unique experience for each. But if women are getting worked up over missing the birthing experience, do they get worked up when they miss the other firsts of their babies over next 18 years?

Prayers are going up for this girl and her family.

It can be hard and painful missing a loved dear one. It sounds though that she will be waiting for you with open arms in His time.

I rather go to a chiropractor than to my dr. but my insurance wont pay for chiropractic care unless the dr refers me to one I remember my mother going to a naturopath for a while. Not sure what was going on with the naturopath, but he got my mothers money, and my mother now needs to be in a phsychriatic hospital. However, when my cousin got bone cancer and had the leg and cancer removed, one of the relatives brought a hair sample from my cousin to a naturopath. He did what ever tests he does and stated that my cousin had cancer throughout his body. My cousin died one year later of lung cancer. However, I would rather use herbs than prescription medicines for just about anything.

I was taught or learned that you use enough force to stop the attack and be able to get away. If you are in fear of your life, then deadly force is acceptable. Ever since God gave Moses the law of sanctuary, it has been valid.

I am with you there. I wish there were more punishments for those in pre marital sex and adulters. Even though, it was consentual, so were two people who killed another person. The two killers were consentual, does that make it any more right?

I have heard of the 6 degrees of separation too. At first it sounds rediculous. But when you think about it, you are close to lots of celebs by 3 or 4 degrees of separation. It really is a small small world.

What ever happened to the good ole days? My 7th grade year my social studies class took a rifle class for a week. And the entire 7th grade class went to the local shooting range and practice with .22 single shot rifles. Neither one of my children got that in the 7th grade. My son was fortunate to get into the rifle club in the 8th grade.

This is a good thing, right?

The purpose of WHAT is to kill? The purpose of guns is to kill---we don't use them as curling irons or monkey wrenches now do we? Hmmmmm interesting thought there ..... while I have multipe fire arms, none of them have ever ever killed anything more than a piece of paper hanging on a board. Does that make me a tree killer? I have competed in shooting matches and not one person was killed as a result. I belive in gun control. Gun control = tight shot group.

It may help to start your day, before you get out of bed, to surrender your will to God and ask him to guide you in His will for your life. Remember, God is in control, even when bad things happen. God doesnt control the actions of men/women who do bad things, and there are consequences for those actions. One other thing, which will take practice, is going to your knees and seeking comfort from God first. It is so easy to hang on to our old habits. Let it go, everyday, let God in your life, everyday. And while on your knees, pray for the people who have been affected by the bad event. Just some suggestions. You are not alone in your walk when it comes to reaching out for comfort foods or bad habits. Many people do it without realizing it. I feel the fact that you do recognize it is a step forward that you can start to change your patterns of reaching out to other things first instead of God first.

As a former customer service employee, I still reserved the right to refuse service to customers, and not loose my job. I also believe that all taxi drivers should have the same right. If anything at all, the taxi driver looses his fare. But when forced to pick up every customer, the rights of the drivers are compromised. Sorry if this offends others. My husband was a taxi driver. He has a scar on his neck from a drunk fare. Would my husband declined the fare if he were allowed to? I dont know. I do know that my husband was an armed driver, and because he was, he is alive today.
