New Drug Erases Bad Memories
Wingwalker replied to Marnie's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
I can understand not wanting to relive some memories that we may have. Yet I have not had PTSD, so I do not understand the reasons some would be willing to take anything for relief. I dont see this drug being a successful help with PTSD but rather a menace to those who would like to control what people believe. -

WN: Court Hears 'Bong Hits 4 Jesus' Case - ABC News

Welcome to Worthy Hannah About your questions of God. God's plan for bringing people into the world and taking them out is according to his plan. Even though some babies die after birth or after a couple of days or years is still part of His plan. Just as taking a teenager or an elderly person at 103 yrs of age. When I was your age, I was told by my Sunday school teacher that "when a person has completed God's plan for them, God will take them home". Also it was stated " when God is finished with them on earth, He takes them home". We had wondered why God had taken a life of a teenager when he had just witnessed to another friend, and his friend had accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. It did not make sense. We thought that this young man was doing what he was called to do and he died in a "freak car accident". We will not always understand the whys of what God is doing. Our minds cannot comprehend the mind of God. While we are on this earth, we will never completely understand God's plan for our lives. I did talk with a lady whose infant son had died. It was called SIDS for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. She had gotten up and fed him one Sunday morning. She placed him back down and she went to get ready for church. When she checked on him 20 minutes later he was dead. This woman had the presence of God with her. She was able to remain very calm when she called 911. She was very calm when they took her son's body to the hospital. She had the peace of God with her throughout the whole ordeal. She stated that she was very thankful to be blessed to be the parent of this child of God even if it was for only 6 months. Shen enjoyed looking at the photos taken days before he died. The peace that she had really humbled me. When she told me this, I was holding my own 6 month old baby girl. I could not fathom the peace she was talking about. This lady did not understand why God took her son but she fully understood it was part of God's plan. Dont know if this helps, but, this is my story and I am sticking to it.

When I see or hear of things that bring pain to my heart. I sink down to my knees and let my concerns be known to my Savior. Many things are too big or too far for me to reach out to. But God is not too small.

Peaches I admire your heart felt emotions on these issues. Compassion has moved people to do great things for others.

WN: Iraqis: life is getting better - London Times
Wingwalker replied to George's topic in World News
My brother was no where near Bagdad. However, recent news reports have stated bombings taking place where he was station for a year. I do understand that lots of people are getting killed over there. I am not trying to sugar coat it at all. I would really like to see our troops come home. As I have another brother being delpoyed to Iraq the same time I am being deployed. -

One of my brothers was deployed to Iraq two years ago. The reports that I got from him at that time were quite uplifting as that the Iraqi public was grateful then. Schools were being built, water sanitations stations were built and being put to good use. So I suppose that it would depend on what day and which news agency is reporting the "facts". -

I dont have a cat anymore but I do have a dog. We leave a bowl full of dry food that he grazes on all day. Its a special diet for canaines that lets him eat a little bit and fills him up quicker. He did put on weight, but it was weight that he needed. I think it has something to do with while he was an outside dog we fed him twice a day and then when we could bring him inside, he learned that the food was more readily available and not have to eat it gone before the squirrels tried sneaking his food. Back to the cat; as others have said, feed the cat first and enjoy your coffee in peace.

There was a time that I had pondered if there were not other creations, or other worlds. Now I find myself pondering the issues today. But then again, if there were/are other creations, did/are they having the same types of issues that we are seeing every day?

I have to agree!

I used to live in the downstairs apartment, and one time there was a neighbor who lived above me. We called her "Grasshopper". It was really interesting, as the tenants before her, we never heard. The tenants on either side of her we never heard. Only her and her boyfriend. We heard them when they climbed the steps from outside up to the top floor and across to her apartment. Those two had a heavy step that we heard when every they were home. At least they went to bed at a decent hour. I did move, but not because of them. As to your problem, first pray, then go and speak to them; introduce yourself, and explain that you live downstairs and hear everything. Perhaps it is not your style of worship or prayertime. However, noise is noise, and can be annoying. I hope your neighbors will understand, and turn their music down and keep their pray group more quiet. Perhaps, you may be invited to join them, and then it could not be annoying to you down stairs since you would be upstairs. Just a thought.

Interesting insight. I like it too.

The church that I attend is full of God fearing men. They get together and build houses, fix up cars, have fishing and hunting outings in small groups. They even have a large "small group". So why do men have to go out and be rought and raw? They just need to come to my church.....
