  1. Seriously, I do agree with what you are saying...I was just saying that not being able to buy and sell does not mean that everyone will totally starve out immediately. And yes, the winter would be a bad time for many reasons such as the ones you mentioned.
  2. Yes, that is interesting. I also always thought Jesus said that because we know that not even he knew the day and the hour of the end. Amen brother...and thanks for the scriptures on this.... God bless you
  3. That's why I always thought Matthew 24 said pray that your flight be not in winter because in the the other months it is easier to grow your own food or at least hunt for animals, but it would be a lot more difficult to even hunt for food in the winter. But like I said I am just asking these questions trying to learn what others think and to examine my own thoughts on the rapture...I know someone already mentioned that Matt. 24 is not talking about the end of time, but even if not... people could still grow or hunt their own food, and not have to buy it. In my opinion, anyhow... With the mark of the best, I have always assumed that all people would be given that option Christians and non-Christians alike...I mean, isn't that the time when the false prophets will arise and try and deceive others....I just can't see many people being deceived if a whole bunch of people (Christians) just vanished or rose up into the clouds in front of them... But like I said, I really don't know for sure and want to examine my beliefs on this topic. Thanks for the reply and if you can point me in a direction to where it suggests that Christians won't be around during the mark of the best please do so. Once again thanks and God bless you.
  4. Once again thanks for all the information...I still don't understand it all, but am praying about it and trying to study it... Gby
  5. Thanks for your patience with me on this...but one more question here...How could we get left behind if God is just going to rapture us all up?
  6. I really am just asking questions here because I don't completely understand what either side of this debate believes (pre- trib or post- trib). As a child, one of my favorite songs was "the Testing Time is Just Ahead for the Children of the King." I know it sounds kind of morbid to be a child's favorite song, but I would listen to it and pray thinking about the end of time, praying that the Lord would help me to be prepared for it, and that was at 8 years old. I cannot find the version that I liked as a kid. I did find a version of it, but it is too blue grassy for my taste, but the lyrics are pretty much the same as the version I used to listen to. I am going to post a link to it so if anyone cares to listen to it, please let me know if it is actually Biblical or not and if not why not? Thanks and God bless you all.
  7. Yes, I believe what John is saying...but Revelations is something that I really do need to study and pray for understanding with because I wont even pretend to know all and exactly what it is talking about... But my question still is do pre-tribs believe that Christians won't suffer any in the end? Because if you are saying they will be raptured during the 6th of 7th vial that still does not show that they are not going to suffer and be killed and/or tortured by men during the end times, in my opinion, anyhow. I mean, they still would have to preserve or endure up until that time anyhow, right. And I don't know for sure, but maybe that's the time that could be shortened for the elect's sake (time up before the 7th vial) . Really though, like I said before I am not sure the exact time of the rapture, but it just seems to me that all the scriptures talking about preparing and being ready for it indicates that we will have to suffer some in the end. We won't be suffering God's wrath being unleashed on us, but we will more than likely suffer men's wrath.
  8. Thanks for the link. and I agree with you...being ready and encouraging others sounds much more beneficial to me. I, myself, don't see the need to generate any unnecessary strife...GBY
  9. Thanks for all the info...I will look into it more... God bless you
  10. Thanks, I will reread and yes, I probably should study the rapture more...However, so far I have been more lead to focus on watching and being ready...We need to live each day like it will be our last. I know the time of the end is drawing nearer, but my end could be at any time so I guess that is where my focus has been mainly. As for the rapture, I know we won't face the wrath of God, which to me means his judgment to hell, but we may and probably will have to face the wrath of men before Jesus comes back. Matthew 24 seems pretty clear to me and I don't think 1Thes. is in disagreement with it... Matthew 24 says that unless those days be shortened no flesh shall be saved, but for the elect's sake they will be shortened. I think this is where 1Thes. comes in with Jesus returning to shorten those days....The dead in Christ shall rise and then we will all be called up to the clouds.
  11. Your posts have been very harsh and judgmental concerning this topic. If people don't believe exactly like you do on this matter then they aren't saved and are false teachers, huh? I am definitely no expert on rapture and don't even really know exactly what pre-tribs believe...I don't know if you think that all Christians will be swept away to the clouds and not have to suffer or not...but if that is what you are saying then, I'd have to disagree because Matthew 24 is pretty explicit on the fact that Christians will have to suffer...As far as the rapture goes... I don't really know for sure, but it does seem we need to arm ourselves in the LORD (put on the whole armor of God) and be prepared to suffer in the last days. He that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved.
  12. Amen...they were only worried about their own pride and self righteousness to make a show and get praise of men...They looked beautiful on the outside, but inwardly they were full of dead men's bones. Same thing is going on today. Some will put on a good show for others, and follow along with or teach whatever is popular...They are more worried about what men think than what God's Word says.
  13. They were hypocrites who loved darkness rather than light so that they could continue to try and hide their evil ways and true intentions...They not only misunderstood the true intent and spirit of the Law, but they also added to it and placed unnecessary and grievous burdens on others.
  14. As long as we're saved, where ever we go will be much better than the alternative for the unsaved.
  15. We are all just pilgrims passing through here. This world is not our home so it is good to think on heaven. It does seem like people are losing sight of the goal. We are to keep our affections set on things above. In heaven, there will be no more pain, sickness, death, or heartache. Only love, joy, and pure happiness forever with our savior. I imagine it like one big happy family reunion with everyone talking and laughing and having a great time.
  16. I agree with everything that you have posted here, and to clarify I wasn't saying that anyone, needs to be cured of their own uniqueness...I was talking about the challenges that each individual faces, as well. I sometimes have a hard time expressing myself clearly, so sorry if my post came off as rude or anything. God Bless you.
  17. We're supposed to bring the Word of God with grace seasoned with salt, but a lot of times people will cut you to shreds if you don't see it exactly how they do. It seems like everyone wants to be the hero and the master of the Word of God. Hard to find people who can have a decent conversation over the word of God when they don't see it exactly eye to eye...It reminds me of this verse. Galatians 5 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
  18. But do you think that God heals everyone all the time. I've know many a good Christian die with cancer, heart disease, and who are living with other diseases such as diabetes...Are saying that they just don't have enough faith or what?
  19. I have worked with individuals with Autism for over 15 years. I am a Case Manager and develop the individuals Plan of Care with their support team. So I have had experience with individuals on all levels of the spectrum. In my experience, most individuals with Autism even the individuals with higher IQ's need a continuing support plan in order to have success. While every one is unique and have their own personal qualities, from experience I have saw that many of the the individuals with higher IQ's need social skills training and reminders, as well as safety skills, and even hygiene skills reminders etc. While its nice to say you don't think a cure is needed...In all honesty, a cure would be beneficial. In saying this, I am not being negative or putting anyone who has autism down. Just saying if there was a cure that could decrease the symptoms it would be awesome. I myself have ADHD, and I wished there was a cure for it because for now I have to really work at dealing with the symptoms. I am not saying that I think I am less of a person because I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder. Just saying that I think it would be much better if there was a cure...don't you?
  20. So sorry to hear that you are feeling so down and discouraged. Other's here have given you some good advice. I just wanted to say that I am praying for you that the Lord will help you to feel better and encourage you and that his perfect will be done in your life. May God bless and comfort you.
  21. This is interesting...I never really thought about it much. I think I've just always assumed the spirit and the soul were the same thing, but your post makes a really good point.
  22. Praying for you my friend. Jesus loves you and wants to set you free. Try giving it all to him in repentance and prayer and let him break the chains for you.
  23. Still can't give you a thumbs up...but this is a really interesting topic. My BF has been reading THE SYRIAC PESHITO VERSION BY JAMES MURDOCK. He says that he really likes it. We discuss it sometimes so I had heard the verse with the camel and rope before but not the one in Mark 16 about the serpent or enemy. This is very interesting so once again thanks for the information.
  24. I just tried again and it still won't let me. Maybe I've reached my limit of thumbs up for the day or something. I guess I'll have to go around giving out written thumbs up now...lol But hopefully it is just a glitch... I do like the Aramaic translations you posted...So your posts were really interesting to me.
