  1. Thank you, Yowm. I'll try. You said "at what time in the process of the punishment of the wicked do their souls get 'destroyed'" God said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:" So, the "process" is gaining godly knowledge. And at some point in the process... And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Psalm 37:5 And eating Jesus' bread is how we gain in godly knowledge Paul
  2. Confirming you, Brakelite. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me. Psalm 50:13-15 Thank You God Paul
  3. Thank you, Word-Sword. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Psalm 37:29-34 God bless Paul
  4. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because they have rejected knowledge, I will also reject them, that they shalt be not priests to Me: seeing they have forgotten the law of their God, I will also forget their children. Hosea 4:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. John 6:53 Paul Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep My saying, he shall never see death. John 8:51
  5. Thank you, 7trumpets, I have actually never been led to use Strong's. Every time I hear of it I think maybe I should look at it. But then I think, what for? I got my Holy Ghost and scripture to interpret scripture. I appreciate your thought provoking research, but I am still not catching on to what you are counting there. The number of generations in Cain's lineage? And how are these stones worn smooth over time? When you pointed to the verse with bdellium and onyx (Gen 12:2) and said "stones worn smooth over time", I thought, Cabochons. Gemstones that are polished round, rather than cut and faceted. But I think those stones are for the Ephod, and for the breastplate. (Ex 35:9) I can't see the wisdom, or understanding, in counting people who have the mark. I was watching the world population count a while back, you just made me remember it. Of course it is not accurate because nobody knows for sure exactly how many people there are, but there are estimates. And I noticed that we passed the 6.66 billion mark on or very close to the 6th Jun 2006, by the estimates given on the web. Which also gives me some idea how long I have been pondering this verse. And, count can have a different meaning too. I can count you as my friend, for example. And I do. So them that have understanding can count the number of the beast as being the number of a man too? Just a consideration. What do you think? But it doesn't fit with the Strong's dictionary definition you've given us, does it. Jesus' love Paul And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in Her: and the highest Himself shall establish Her. The LORD shall count, when He writes up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. Psalm 87:5-6
  6. Thank you 7trumpets. My prayer answered, even as I was writing it. That was awesome. Not sure I am fully with you on every detail, but I commend you on a champion effort. You given me things to think about. And I spotted a minor error. I think you meant Deut 32:30-31 instead of verses 31-33. Trivial. I was still able to find what you were referring to. And verse 37 seems relevant too. And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, Deuteronomy 32:7 Maybe it is different in mine, I use KJV. Paul And ye My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 34:31 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister. Deuteronomy 27:4 & 8
  7. Thank you, Ed. I don't deny, the facts are impressive. And not only can you count, but can add. But the verse, and the title of your thread, say, Here is wisdom, not, Here is how to count. We have to undefstand what it means. Don't we? We learn how to count in kindergarten, and how to add in grade school. I was hoping to see what you think the wisdom is. I have contemplated that verse, counted the number, seen other count the number, and I not sure I am any wiser. I do have an interpretation of the verse, I never heard it spoken by anyone. I don't know if it is right, and was hoping to hear other's opinions. And my second question? Does Gematria offer meanings for numbers? I really don't want to go and study it, and I thought, since you do you could answer that. I am able to see the red sea. Thanks to Jesus Paul
  8. I can sympathize with your objections and understand your call to be wary. But someone was led to make the website, and let us hope they are led by Christ. If they are trying to give Christian answers, I think we have to presume so. That doesn't mean all the answers will be right though. I found, when asking questions, sometimes the more answers you get, the better, even though they may be varied and conflicting. It is all more information with which we can make our judgment, to know what answer we are going to keep. And I know, if the cause is too hard for me, I can take it to Him, and He will hear it. Paul
  9. Thank you for your questions, Neighbor. I love you. There were already Bible search engines on the Internet, and they are the better way to go. Wafers are good, but we need to eat Jesus' flesh in context too, at least sometimes. And reading is not hard work. Because they have lazy brains. They can't handle the judgment. That is hard work. Those in local church bodies are there for encouragement from their comfort zone only. It would be preaching to the converted. Because we be aware of leaven, and partake of it not. Because that would be as fruitful as asking foolish questions. And yet, some non-Christian might yet be turned to Christ, by an answer he or she get at that website. Not many know how to get the Holy Ghost yet, let alone ask Him questions. They still need to ask a few more fruitful questions, finding the answers by any means. I say that depends on who you are talking about. For we who are in Christ already, we have no need for it, but for the millions, sorry.. the billions who are not come to Christ, that website may be their first port of call. I love lists of questions. Did you try these question at GotQuestions .org? Paul
  10. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Matthew 24:40 Hi Dennis. If we take the forum to be the "field", for our example, we can observe that there are those that are peaceful, offering up sound doctrines, and there are those that are disturbed, confused, and offering up strange doctrines, and sometimes even cutting remarks to their brethren. And so we see them talking across the great divide between them. One patiently offering sound reproof, the other excusing or else accusing. The accusers can hardly receive the water of the word which the reprovers offer. I pray you are in Abraham's bosom Paul And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Luke 16:33
  11. Thank you lokp. I don't try to push with my right hand anymore. If the going isn't easy going through a door, I back off until I know what His will is. I don't try to "ram" my way through. When obstacles are put in my way like that, I know it's the wrong way to go, and Jesus doesn't want me to go that way. The way He wants me to go is always easy. Paul
  12. Thank you, for your question, LordsServant. All of America is still left. What we are observing is what is left of the cities, after God has smited them. Even so, praise the Lord Paul My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because they have rejected knowledge, I will also reject them, that they shalt be not priests to Me: seeing they have forgotten the law of their God, I will also forget their children. Hosea 4:6
  13. No other one. Rejoice. And I'm sorry, I didn't mean that to sound like you were saying that. (on re-reading, I see it could be misconstrued that way.) Just saying, I see a lackadaisical attitude towards sinning sometimes, and think it is something to be wary of, to not slip into. I think Mike has the idea. Thank you, Mike. Paul And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Luke 9:23
  14. I see it more like a child coming out of the bath and saying to Mum, I'm clean now. See, no dirt on me. (Only until I go outside and play in the dirt again) <--- that's your time clause. But Mum says, did you clean behind your ears? oops, I forgot. How about between your toes? eek forgot there too. And did your brush your teeth? ummm. My Lord, He seems to keep pointing out sins in my heart that I didn't even know were there. Sometimes burdens I carried for years. Sometimes transgression of a law I was still misinterpreting. We aren't sin free for a second while we are still dressed in filthy rags. In fact, many of us are more like drunks, saying, I'll be right to drive. Saying, I can 'not sin' for a whole 5 seconds, therefore the Lord will accept me into His kingdom how I am. Paul As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:19
  15. Thank you, Other One. Just have a little think about it. We are told never to claim to be sin free. I am not that sure adding a "five second" clause permits us to then make that claim. But you did make me wonder, how clean is clean. I don't believe it is up to us to judge our own cleanliness. The Lord will judge that when we are before Him. Wont He? But certainly, I feel much cleaner than before believing in Jesus Paul If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:10
  16. Thank you, notsolost. This verse was a great help for me. But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said He to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. Matthew 9:6 Thank you to everyone. Good posts and good verses. And thank You Lord. Paul And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:46-47
  17. Thank you. I don't see it like that, Other One. Before I turned to Jesus, I could not do one second of life right, because I was facing the wrong way. It is like saying how can one do shoveling wrong. Shoveling is too easy. And not realizing that you are holding the blade and trying to dig with the handle. I don't know if that's best analogy. But it is what happens when we work from our own righteousness, thinking we can do no wrong, when we don't understand God's righteousness yet. And even when I converted, there was the momentum of a lifetime of habit to change. I had to strive hard to change that. To lose my life for His sake. Rejoice Paul
  18. How I defend my family. I get Jesus to do it. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:7 Of course, I have to do what He asks too. ~~~` I tried to think of a Christian nation. How about the Vatican? It is officially a country. Some might say it too Catholic to be called Christian. Praise Jesus Paul
  19. Ah, now I see what you are asking, thank you. I believe God in His word using different words for things to help understand what the thing is. So we know, if we are in a pit, we know what he is talking about here, or if our life feels like death, or like a garbage dump (sheol). Like many things in the Bible have many names. The word is a also bread, and it is meat and milk, and living waters, even God Himself. The promised land is the land of Canaan, Israel, Paradise, and the kingdom of God. Spirits are nations, beasts, canaanites, cherubim, serpents, and angels. Just some quick examples from memory. For help in understanding. That's why. Like Bible comparison helps sometimes, and another Bible says the same but with different words, and you can understand those words better, so it helps you understand the saying better. Have a great day in Jesus Paul
  20. Hello Moon. You ask a very good question, I think. I see several such mysterys. God is the word, so He expanded into a book too. Many copies on the face of earth. Jesus is God expanded into a man but He also said He is the bread which comes down from heaven. God->word->Jesus->bread God is a spirit, I believe He can be anything He wants And even more, Jesus said the kingdom of God is within. Is that a whole land expanded inside us? I believe there is God's mountain, and Jerusalem too. So I think I can see what you are asking. I believe these mysteries are only revealed by God to some people. As I grow in my faith, and trusting He says right, He gradually reveal more things to me. Jesus tell me, Seek and you shall find. Jesus blessings Paul
  21. That was great to hear, thank you, dls. Happy anniversary coming up! Paul
  22. When you were born again, you offered yourself up as a lamb to the Shepherd. Didn't you? That is a ram offering. You were His suckling ram. If He came and blessed you, then you made Him a pleasing sacrifice.
  23. Here is where Jesus says sin comes from. And He said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:20-23
  24. I came to the awareness, that even though I didn't deliberately sin, or want to take unclean thoughts, that if my thoughts were allowed to go free, unclean ones would come in. You don't choose to take such thoughts. It is only when you are thinking them then you realize, and wonder how long you have been on that thought train. I needed a way to control my runaway mind. Besides that. The Lord shamed me. He called me a she-camel, and a donkey in heat. It may sound funny, but somehow I knew what He was talking about. How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways; A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her. Jeremiah 23:24
  25. by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20
