  1. Glad I don't have that, thinking it's a bible.
  2. Here's what the NIV says. Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll -- are they not in your record?
  3. I believe Jacob got a double portion, since Esau sold his rights as the oldest son to Jacob, so I think Jacob got 2/3 and Esau got 1/3.

  5. Let me show you some things it takes a few verses. Hebrews chapter 7 verses 11,12 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood for on the basis of it the law was given to the people why was there still need for another priest to come one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. Let me show you the mistake most people make with the law. Romans chapter 9 verses 30-Romans chapter 10 verse 4 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. As it is written: See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame. Brothers my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are Zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own the did not submit to God's righteousness, Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Galatians chapter 5 verse 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. James chapter 2 verse 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. I hope this helps.
  6. I would study the bible all you can, I have schizophrenia, and studying the bible has helped me a lot. I would also, see about getting on government assistance, so you can be on your own, that also would help you a lot, I think.
  7. Here's some verses about prayer, I just used them in another question, but it seems to be good here to. James chapter 5 verse 17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Luke chapter 18 verse 1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Isaiah chapter 62 verse 6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, 1 Chronicles chapter 4 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. Daniel chapter 9 verse 18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 2 Kings chapter 20 verse 5 "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD.
  8. About 23 years ago, I prayed to God to give me a wife I could love, I named 2 women about 6 months later one of them asked me to go out with her, we married a year later, don't let anyone tell you what you can pray for.
  9. John chapter 8 verse 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Acts chapter 11 verse 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
  10. Didn't I say all you have to do is love your neighbor as yourself, that's the most a person can do anyway, no one can obey any other law. Matthew chapter 21 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Luke chapter 3 7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” 10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. 11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
  11. I know we're not under the law, all we have to do is love not obey any law, except Galatians chapter 5 verse 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command love your neighbor as your self. Matthew chapter 7 verse 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
  12. James chapter 2 verse 18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. Love and mercy take care of everything. Obadiah chapter 1 verse 15 "The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.
  13. This is what I think it's talking about, because anyone can pray to God and get something, if they keep asking, you don't have to be anyone special to have God answer a prayer. Matthew chapter 25 verses 31-46 When the Son of Man comes" in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and got visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
  14. Matthew chapter 4 verse 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Romans chapter 1 verse 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. John chapter 8 verse 31,32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, " If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. 2 John 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. Job chapter 23 verse 12 I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. Matthew 11 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Luke chapter 21 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Romans chapter 10 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Mark chapter 13 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. James chapter 1 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. James chapter 4 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Isaiah chapter 45 verse 19 I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, 'Seek me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right. Jeremiah chapter 9 24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah chapter 5 verse 1 5 “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city. Psalm 119 verse 114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
  15. Their thieves, many Christian charity's are the same, I give directly to people in need, if your going to give to a charity I'd do non Christian, you can check it out on give.org, theirs no way of checking on Christian charity's or pastors. But it's your money.
  16. When you decide something the bible has to be taken as a whole, not what Matthew is trying to say, but what God is saying. It doesn't matter how many pastors you listen to, the more you study the bible and apply it to yourself, and not someone else the more your going to learn. Micah chapter 6 verse 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
  17. I do one yoga exercise that helps my balance for kickboxing, no where in the bible does it say don't do yoga, and even if it did that would be law, and we're not under law.
  18. I think it's completely up to you, I don't see where it matters one way or another.
  19. Not everyone who has faith does these things. Some are concerned about investments and are selfish, and only do things for themselves and their loved ones. He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
  20. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Jesus was a sacrifice for everyone's sins, but Jesus himself said I desire mercy not sacrifice, that's is in the new testament as well as the old. Jesus came to testify to the truth not just to die, he said everyone on the side of truth listens to him.
  21. I didn't say it wasn't enough for everyone's sins, but we still need to show mercy, if we don't what is the difference between us and the people who have never read any of the bible, and do anything the want, Jesus still died for their sins to.
  22. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, now we need to show mercy.
  23. Matthew chapter 9 verse 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
  24. 1 John chapter 2 verse 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. James chapter 2 verse 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. I don't think you can trust in Jesus alone for eternal life, because he died for everyone's sins, you also have to show mercy just as he showed you. Matthew chapter 18 verse 27, 28 The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.
  25. Is this what you want? Revelation chapter 21 verse 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
