False teachers can be self-deceived or charlatans who perform fake miracles or have the power of Satan to perform miracles. Have you not heard of people who pray in the name of Jesus and others and see miracle healings and life changes, but know neither the saving gospel nor Jesus Christ?

Time to love your spouse harder, show affection, fall in love with them again, laugh about the in-laws (when they cannot hear you). GO FOR IT! This will change your life and your outlook on life.

Yes and no? Millions recognize 9:6-7 as a clear prophecy of Jesus Christ.

1) Find out if Mazikeen is a highly sexed TV show character, then urge the parents to change the name based on THAT association--a request they may take better than "demon name". 2) Search Hebrew and Greek for a great nickname for Mazikeen that is godly. Even a cursory reading shows this is a prophecy about Jesus. My Jewish brethren love to say it's about King Hezekiah, who is of course not an ETERNAL Father, was of David but not born in Bethlehem, was a wartime King who did not reign over peace, etc.

Have we not yet answered the OP? Depression comes in different forms. Some is chemical, some from past abuse, some is demonic. Prayer helps, particularly guided prayer to address root issues. Talking with fellow sufferers helps. Visiting a physician or counselor, particularly a born again one, helps. Some depression can be cured quickly/instantly, some more slowly.

JESUS IS GOD. Have you trusted Him for eternal life? This is the beginning of a trust relationship with the God of light!

How can one Christ died and rose for every be useless? The sheer knowledge of God and the scriptures you demonstrate in your post shows you have vital ministry yet to do--mentoring younger believers. Do not be depressed/aimless, check yourself into a Bible church and life life alongside believers. Witness the gospel to the lost!

Did someone write "people speaking in tongues can cause an alteration of brain chemistry whereby the mentally ill person is suddenly free of mental health problems"? I did not. You and I and all counselors and advisors struggle through parsing what is demonic, what is behavorial/learned and what is genetic/chemical. Being Spirit-filled is one powerful help against demonic forces. Why deemphasize this?

Jesus spoke in parables so that only those who are truly interested in finding God's Kingdom of salvation find it. Paul writes that unstable people destroy themselves using the scriptures.

Nothing in scripture? Second fruit of the Spirit is JOY, the opposite of DEPRESSION. Why is the thread continuing? Depression, alcoholism, sex addiction can be permanently CURED, where not cured, EASED/HEALED/BLESSED. Since the fruit of Spirit-filling is joy, ones should be begging for more of God's Spirit, regardless of their beliefs about spiritual gifts or a "second baptism".
