  1. Shalom @AnonymousEcho First of all, welcome to the forum! Now, this is quite a situation you find yourself in, isn't it! Let me try to help, Yahweh willing. There are three possibilities behind this "ability".... Origin: Occult Origin: Yahweh Origin: Other Origin:Occult We cannot ignore that fact of the strong presence of witchcraft in your youth. In the past, I worked for a ministry exposing the occult and so I am aware that sometimes incantations over the young or even submissions of young to certain entities can take place. This can have repercussions in later life Now, don't worry! If the above is the case, you can prayer to the Most High that every unclean spiritual tie, link or ability that was imposed upon you as a child will be severed, removed and cleaned up from you, in the name of the Lord Yeshua (Jesus Christ), Son of the Yahweh, by His Holy Spirit. Declare thereafter that you dedicate your spirit, soul and heart into Yahweh's only. Remember, you are asking and declaring this by the authority of His name and not your own - so have confidence and boldness. Origin: Yahweh It's possible that Yahweh has you in His hands on this matter and will use this ability for His Kingdom, His glory. You speak of instances similar to that of the prophets of old, and such abilities were prophesied to come back. By the way, a "seer" is what prophets were known as in ancient times, which you can find in the Bible. I would pray, each day, that Yahweh would guide you in this ability and help you to understand what He is trying to tell you. Ask Him for Wisdom and Understanding each day (even when you are not in a 'cycle'). Do this, even if it feels empty at first or like a habit. He will reward you in due time - but it won't necessarily be quickly! Practically, if you find that you don't have enough time and you're a "go, go, go" person, perhaps one lesson to learn from all of this is to MAKE time. Easier said than done, I know. However, He is our God, the Great King, and we should treat Him as so. Perhaps He wants to slow you down and get you focused on Him more, and this is the "rod of discipline" He is using... Occult: Other No idea. I just wanted to make you aware that there could always be another option. As for what that might be though...No idea. Conclusion I advise you to pray against the possible occultic origin, as outlined above, with sincerity and seriousness. Before doing so, why not post a request in the Prayer Request section on this forum? It can only help! Don't worry or fear these little demons and forces of darkness. Fear only Yahweh. Now, with the confidence you have after praying the above, if the ability still remains, try to quieten your heart and listen to Him. Look at your situation and visions as a parable, that is - poetically, objectively and symbolically. What "feels" like the message? Don't look at it literally, but symbolically as a whole. Stay in the Word throughout the week, as much as possible, particularly within the prophetic books. This will ensure your visions and understanding of them have a good solid backing of Scripture - which will serve almost as Rosetta Stone of interpretation and guidance. Practically, make time for the Lord. I personally observe the Sabbath and ensure that at least one whole day is all about Him and His Word, but that's not always a possibility for everyone. But find a way to make time, beyond church attendance. In the evenings/mornings/afternoons - just find time to dedicate to Him or His Word in your busy schedule. Do it as if it was an appointment with a King, or just to thank the "Principal Supplier of Your Daily Life" - because that's exactly who He is. Now if you dedicate more time to Him, and the visions are NOT your gift, they will eventually stop. But if they ARE your gift, the time you dedicate to Him will help you finely tune in to clear messages from Him, rather than the current messy jumble of noise. I hope that helps my friend. Love & Shalom
  2. Shalom @ohso, May Yahweh bless you for your kind heart towards your friends. It is heart warming to hear you have concern for them and wanting act wisely. I think the advice that I will give won't necessarily be what you want to hear though... If you're not sure on what to advise then I suggest to not advise anything at all. Sometimes the Christian that "always has advice" can be a bad witness, especially if what is advised falls flat, as it wasn't spoken of human origin and not in wisdom of the Spirit. I think what is more important is that you lending a listening ear and a non-judgemental heart to your friend, which I'm sure you are doing already. Be quick to listen but slow to give advice. It's okay to tell them "I'm not sure what the best thing to do is" rather than try to fake it. Being a Christian doesn't mean we always should have answers. This belongs to those who are specifically gifted by the Spirit in that way, but there are many other gifts. But again, non-judgemental, kind and patient listening in love will speak in volumes to your friend over any kind of "Godly advice". And, if you listen long enough and hold your tongue back from saying what you think a "Christian" should say - the Lord may give you wisdom on the matter suddenly. When that happens you will know the advice is good and sound, and you won't second guess it. In summary - show your peace and love, wait for wisdom, and let your friend know you are there for them. Continue in prayer, as you are doing, as this may be your gift. Ask Him each day for Wisdom and He will reward you in due time - 100%. Love & Shalom
  3. Yes, it's a stomach churning event isn't it, as young innocent Joseph comes by to find his brothers unaware. He is one of the early prophecies of the Messiah's life as in the same way, the Messiah's "brothers" plotted against Him for His blood. And, in the same way, they will be utterly shocked when they recognise Him as their King later. Love & Shalom
  4. Shalom my friend, Difficult. First of all, if it offers you any encouragement at all, know that sometimes the harsh words or strong stance we take can have positive effects in another, inadvertently. Even though we might be in turmoil over the matter after, sometimes it can be exactly what is needed for another. However, let's assume for argument's sake that the above isn't the case here.... Whilst what you said is true and fair, he has probably taken it as "Jesus is my everything, I care little about you in comparison!". This is just how the hurt heart can hear things. Reason and logic thereafter go out the window and the abasement is paramount. Therefore, I think the key thing is to open up a dialogue with your son which focuses on "lifting him up" in your life. I think if you make it known that you spoke over-zealously and hastily, and that you love him dearly and more than anything, this will go a long way to restore your relationship with him (and his subsequent relationship with God). As for God, He is smarter and wiser than we can ever comprehend. He won't be offended in this matter if you do all you can to restore your son's heart to you. He won't be quick or keen to try and catch you out in your words as you raise up your son's standing in your life before your son. God surely understands the context of this situation and would surely want you two restored. So I'm not saying to move from your position of "loving Jesus more". But rather explain how much you love your son, before him with kind words, and raise his understanding of importance and impact he has on your life - positively, patiently, peacefully and lovingly - without caving into an argument or harsh words, as he may try to draw that out of you. This will be because he'll still be in pain and want you to share that, or because he is interested to see if you really mean what you say. So show him your love but be prepared to exercise patience and be "slapped about" verbally! Oh, to be a Dad... As for your son's concern with God, that is another question altogether. I would suggest to leave that debate entirely for now. First thing's first - restoration. Make the first move to "lift him up and dust him off" with much love, otherwise all subsequent debates will be worthless in his eyes, and endless arguments covering the real one beneath it. I hope something in that helps you. May Yahweh bring you two together swiftly Love & Shalom
  5. Wow. It's sad you see the Sabbath this way. No, it is not magical. You won't "grow extra" or be special. But so what? What, shall we only obey God if it's beneficial for us or we get something out of it? Personally, I don't expect anything from the Sabbath but rather to give an offering, of free will, in obedience. Because I don't HAVE to, but I CHOOSE to. Another way to thank him in my actions - not to be special or loved more, but to love Him more - free to serve willingly, rather than fear of punishment. If Yahweh decides to bless me on a Sabbath and you on a Tuesday, what difference does it make? You have yours and I have mine, we both have Him and He has both us! So let's not give each other a hard time about how each of us are being led differently, according to His will and our understanding. Love & Shalom
  6. I know what you're saying. I think you and I know we can go on for hours round and round on this topic. It's just one of those differences that we should learn to overcome peacefully, for His Glory. Love & Shalom
  7. Shalom JacquelineDeane I'm getting the vibe that you might have a nagging question or thought that you want to understand? Or I might be completely wrong! Hehe Love & Shalom
  8. I agree, that is wrong. As is telling believers who meet on Sabbath that they are "under the law" or "fallen from grace". I'm not saying you say that, but many do.
  9. Dunno what to tell you man, Acts 20:7 says Sabbath in the Greek. Fact. Don't argue with me, argue with the Apostle Luke
  10. Little fact for you my friend. Although most english Bible translations have "first day of the week" in Acts 20:7, in the original Greek it says "Sabatton". You can easily check this online with seconds. Even the mighty KJV erroneously says "first day of the week"! Interesting amendment... Love & Shalom
  11. Yes. It reminded me of this verse from an Apocryphal book... “Prosperity and adversity, life and death, poverty and riches, come of the Lord.” - Ecclesiasticus 11:14 And from the canon Scripture... "I make light and create darkness. I make blessings and create disasters. I, Yahweh, do all these things." Isaiah 45:7 All things are in His hands. Who or what then should we fear? Love & Shalom
  12. Amen. I feel a lot of promise and faith in your words. It's so good to see! I wonder what He has planned for you... Love & Shalom
  13. Thank you for the useful article, very informative. It's terrible news. What a start to 2020 we are having.
  14. You're welcome my friend. Yes, in these last days the Political State of Israel seems to be destined for great disasters, according to prophecy. Many Christians and Jews will be disheartened by the sight of this and the faith of some may fail. I wonder if Iran will be the catalyst for this, as they currently have their sights on Israel... Or maybe it will be at the behest of another event. If you would like to research the matter more, I will PM you a couple of videos shortly which delves into this matter in more depth. Love & Shalom
  15. Shalom, I think people base this loosely on the prophesied return to the Land, but heavily on Isaiah 66:8... "Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children." I think it's the wrong application of that Scripture personally, but that's the one I often hear cited in regard to the political state of Israel. Love & Shalom
  16. Welcome @JacquelineDeane55, shalom to you. What a kind sentiment! I hope someone in need today will take you up on it. May Yahweh bless you with wisdom, health and joy. Love & Shalom
  17. Interesting brother, I would say no myself. This political state of Israel seems to be a move of the UN (see Ezekiel 36). It has been the devil's goal to own the Promised Land since it was promised to Abraham. It is possible World War one and two were staged by the Elite in order to achieve this political success, but the evidence on that isn't entirely reliable, so I won't submit it as fact. But there will come a time when Israel (Christians and the believing literal seed of Jacob) will return to the Promised Land, which will have much larger extended borders than this tiny political state now! With New Jerusalem it's centre. (search images for New Jerusalem size) HalleluYah, it is not long now! When that prophecy is fulfilled, He will no longer be referred to as the "God who brought Israel out of Egypt". But rather, the "God who brought out His people from all nations unto Him". Therefore, as He isn't referred to as this yet and the Exodus is still seen as the biggest act to the Jews, we know this is still to come. It will be a very significant and dramatic time in world history, that no one in the world can deny, not even the hardened atheist, whose heart will fail within them during that time. It will not be like this slow drib-drab return of the political state now - most of which don't acknowledge Messiah or some even God! No, it will be the Messiah’s flock alone. As remarkable as the founding of the political state of Israel was, it's a foreshadow at most. But it will be at the crosshairs for a great war to come unfortunately. These things must happen before the coming of New Jerusalem. As to whether that war is coming now (as possibly suggested in the "Dragons of Arabia" and Persia prophecy in the apocryphal book of 2 Esdras) with the news today, I don't know. This might just be another rumour of war. But I could easily believe within the next 50 years we will see Israel called out and restored to the land (with its larger borders) for the 1000 year reign of our King. Because I can't see how the world can go on economically, evironmentanlly, sociologically and morally longer than 50 years. All these areas are failing fast or in a pressure cooker waiting to burst. The world stage is being set for the "saviour" of all these areas, to rescue and save mankind and bring "peace" - the antichrist. When he reveals Himself, we will either be here or not, but not much time for mankind will remain. So look up. Even so, come Lord Yahushua (Jesus) Love & Shalom
  18. Shalom @BeauJangles Yeah I have one. Seeing a lady driver, in front or behind you, applying making up using their rearview mirror as she is driving. Stresses me out man. Either do it before leaving or after arriving. Love & Shalom
  19. Amen. What a delight to meet with you brother. We're on the same path, as are a few others on here. HalleluYah! Let me know if I can be of help. Love & Shalom
  20. Amen! What a great summary post @JoeMo. Surely the Spirit is with you when you speak with such reverence for His Word. So many out there have grey areas in knowledge of the Bible (sometimes intentionally). They can quote Paul for days and days, yet can't quote the Father from the Tanakh - how sad. Surely Yahweh has revealed this matter to you as no one teaches this in the mainstream. You have spoken wisely. Amen. Instituted in Genesis and referred to and observed by the patriarchs before Moses as detailed in the books of the Apocrypha found with the Dead Sea Scrolls. And more is written about the Sabbath in Exodus 20:8 than any of the other 10 commandments (with perhaps the exception of Idolatry) because he wanted to make it clear and surely knew many would try to contest this matter. But there is no ambiguity allowed in Exodus 20:8 - it's very clear what He meant. You are going to run into a lot of resistance in the forum my brother. Many do not want to hear such things as it challenges them and they can feel like we are judging them by it - which we're not. But I personally look forward to reading more of your posts, as will a small amount of members on here who agree with you on this matter. May Yahweh bless you and yours with wisdom, health and joy. Love & Shalom
  21. Ah, May He bless you my friend for your kind words. Haha! Okay, as long as you stop telling others that "breaking the Sabbath is lawful" Love & Shalom
  22. Fair enough. I tried my best to explain and I don't think I can say much else on the matter. But if you can't see it, then you can't see it. So it's probably best to leave it there for now, but thank you for your patience in reading my extensive posts! May Yahweh bless you and yours. Love & Shalom
  23. Shalom Friend, Have you studied the "613" laws for yourself? Or are you just accepting what you have been told? I have studied them individually and I can tell you that there are many repetitions, extensions and definitions on existing laws, laws for priests alone, laws for women alone, laws to only put in affect in certain circumstances and other "laws" are actually just statements. When all is said and done 613 IS a grossly inflated number. Before you accept the burden, from the Jewish sages, of this "613" classification - study and investigate it for yourself. You can download a list of the 613, import it into a spreadsheet and categorise them accordingly - an exercise I carried out a while ago. See for yourself. Don't take my word or the word of Jewish sages. Read each one for yourself and consider it for yourself. And investigate very thoroughly as some summaries that are in this 613 can actually be quite distorted from what the verse it is linked to actually says. Investigate this matter for yourself and see. Don't take my word or anyone elses. We only have one life but plenty of time to study such things, instead of spending it on other hobbies, so I encourage you to do so soon. And come on, this is a classification that comes from the same people who says that doesn't believe in the Yahushua the Messiah! My friend, I do respect you. Otherwise I wouldn't bother with typing the above or typing to you at all! All of this is ultimately out of love. But consider what faith you are putting on the classification of "613" if you haven't researched each one for yourself personally (yes, each and every one). Aren't you just placing faith in the matter in the hands of men? I know this to be true or you would see that it is 613 - even if you JUST take out the repetitions. This is what I meant about being concerned that your past is discolouring your view of the Sabbath. It would have been better if you never had the traditional experience in some way as it comes with a lot of extra baggage. No offence, but I'm very aware of a modern day Sabbath amongst Jews - Orthodox and casual. That's complicated equivalence. You are seeing facts that aren't there. Yes, sharing the Messiah in the synagogue would have caused an uproar. But whose to say they didn't observe Sabbath by hearing Moses being read in the synagogue (Acts 15) or resting at home. You seem to be implying that observing the Sabbath for first century believers would require them going to the Synagogue a singing to Yahushua. Or that if they went to the synagogue they would have to start preaching. It would make sense that they would also meet after Sabbath to celebrate the Messiah in secret though. Yes I understand that fully. But why are you thinking that "Sabbath = synagogue attendance". I think you are seeing the matter with traditionalist eyes. Yes, it was common practice to go to Synagogue. But would they be breaking Sabbath stay in the home together and not attending? No. Sabbath does not equal synagogue. Again, meeting together on Saturday night is in no way saying "Therefore, the Christians violated the Sabbath". On the contrary, it implies they met AFTER the Sabbath as they were observing it. If you have a church meeting on Sunday night, should someone assume you didn't go in the morning? In summary - you have provided no scriptural source to back up your claim. Just hazy implications. Sorry that sounds harsh, but it's the truth no? If not, provide me evidence to back up your claim that first century Christians ignored the Sabbath. I'm shocked you can say such a thing! And, if you were at foot on Sinai when these great 10 were given, I would be surprised if you would have said "they are small, almost nothing". From one disciple to another, repent of this statement. Even if you think they do not apply to you, have some respect for words of Yahweh! Don't call them "almost nothing", come on. That is not the Spirit of God speaking within you. Now, I understand what you are trying to say here: "I'm not trying to avoid adultery... I'm trying to avoid lust!" Yes, yes, very good, I get your point. But one can't be without the other. You can't say "let me deal with lust issues, THEN I'll deal with adultery issues" - both are one and the same. Therefore, to follow the 10 commandments correctly is to follow the heart intention - as we were taught by Messiah. But to say "I don't follow the 10, but I try to follow the beatitudes" is a confused statement and, to be bold, seems to be a convenient way for you to side step the topic we're discussing of the Sabbath. I don't know how many times I have written this, but I'll write it again. If you have an issue with the 10, then there is no point discussing the rest of the Torah with you as you have stumbled over the Covenant laws. Why do you consistently hide behind the "mixed fabrics" law as if it's a trump care to side step the Sabbath. Anyway, you wrote "yes" to Option A. So you think these 10 commandments were for Israel back then. Why then do you think that any of the promises to them apply to you at all. Why do ANY promises from the Tanakh apply to you in that case? What, you want to take the promises and leave the rest you don't like? Your logic and theology, IF this is the case, is flawed. IF this is what you think, you will continue to struggle to understand the Word, as you highlight a verse here and ignore 20 beneath it. Right, so you say yes to Option B too. Yes indeed, the Torah does point us to the Messiah, not only the Sabbath but in greater ways elsewhere in Torah. And not just the Torah, but every part of the Tanakh. But if you think that the literal is replaced with the typological, then you haven't understood Scripture and I am surprised a Jew could read it as such! Foreshadows play a big role in the Bible, of course, but the literal interpretation is never falsified or by the Shadowcaster. For example - David and Cyrus were types of Messiah - but when the Messiah came it didn't mean David and Cyrus never existed and were just fiction. If you think Torah becomes redundant now that Messiah came, then why did the Messiah follow it at all and why are we exhorted in Revelation to continue to follow it? Yes, Torah points towards the Messiah and it points us to the way of holy living. To ignore that and see it as basically an "ancient signpost to Messiah" only is illogical, without wisdom and unscriptural. Although you say there are more "applications" than just a signpost, which gives me hope for this conversation. Yes to option C as well then... Good, I'm glad you not one of those who say the Law was nailed to the cross. Yes, I agree. You died to the Torah (as in its curses which appointed you to death) to be wed to Messiah. Now what are you going to do with your new life? Become more like Him? Well then, how did He walk and what virtues did He uphold? Let me ask you this. If the Messiah appeared to you now would you be so bold as to say to Him "It's lawful to break the Sabbath and the 10 commandments are small to me, almost nothing". Or would you show a little more respect about His Word? Imagine if someone approached Him with these same objections in the book of Matthew - what do you suppose He might have said? "Well done, good and faithful servant - you are not far from the Kingdom of God"? We are told repeatedly to go and sin no more. But what is the definition of sin and the boundaries of it without the Torah? So yes, you are free of the bonds of the curse of Torah for violating it. But free to follow it in newness of Spirit. Not out of fear of punishment and death - as that has been removed from us. Now we are free to follow it, if we choose, to benefit from it's wisdom and refine our walk. If we fail it, no penalty is incurred. But if we follow it, which the Spirit helps us to do, we show fruit of our obedience, dedication, holiness (separating ourselves) and most importantly our love for Him. So you're agreeing with Option D as well. What a tricky customer you are being Yes, the whole Torah relies on these two things. How do you love your neighbour? Do you care for the poor and needy, show love to your brothers and sisters and remain charitable? You do a good thing. Against such things there is no condemnation or law. How do you love God though? Singing a little worship song every day? Praying to Him?.... is that it? What else? Because it certainly isn't listening to His Words. No, you have taken the approach of calling them small and "almost nothing". Yet, I suppose in the next breathe you would say you walk and are lead by the Spirit. Really? Does the Spirit lead you to debate with me about the importance of Torah? How unscriptural. Again, I'm not saying Torah is needed for salvation - I've never said that on this forum, ever. But I am saying that it should be respected and adhered to as a training manual of righteousness and holiness as we grow in our faith - instead of the alternatives of quaint daily reading plans and books by Kenneth Copeland and the like. Forgive me for quoting Paul this once, but you did bring him up in your Romans 7 quotation, so... Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:10-14 (No New Testament written at the time, this was referring to the Tanakh). Closing note: Please don't get offended by this post. I have written very strongly and sharply - mainly to make my point in brief. I mean you no ill-will my friend. If you go on your way without listening to a word I've said - Peace be with you and may Yahweh bless you. Know I mean no ill-intent towards you but just writing boldly for brevity sake (even though this was hardly brief) and to establish my point of view. Love & Shalom
  24. Hah! I'm so glad someone else on here as heard her talk. Very interesting study.
  25. Shalom friend, Please cite your source for this. And there are not 613 laws, as mentioned a few posts ago. Yes, they did gather separately to honour the Messiah. So you think that proves they didn't honour the Sabbath? That's like saying "there's a church meeting every wednesday - so I guess that means I will no longer go on Sunday..." Nonsense. Where's your source for this? Again, spurious. Unless you are aware of when in Scripture it says this. I no of not one verse that backs up that claim. I'm not having a go at you though friend. Just envouraging you to question what you "know" and question what you have been taught - always. I used to think somebof these things until I went back to Scripture with no preconceived ideas, external teachings or pressure from masses say something long enough and loud enough. Let Scripture speak for itself. However, if I have missed a verse which back up your claims as above, please let me know. Great question! To do this briefly, as I can ramble on if you hadn't noticed :), the Spirit of Yahweh guides us in Torah and expounds ot for us. It's not a question of ignore this and do that and most of the Torah applies in certain situations. For example, if you're at your Pc typing you are not breaking the speed limit on the highway (hopefully). Are you therefore ignoring it and not obeying it? But that's another conversation in itself. For now, let's keep things simple and talk only of the 10 commandments. Surely most Christians would agree they would naturally follow all of them, but if that were true, they would have a natural desire for thr Sabbath. Now, you can't say you keep the 10 and hate God, or commit adultery. Most would agree that would be a fail. But suddenly most get really lenient and relaxed over the Sabbath - getting wishy washy with it. Talking about how Sabbath is any day you want, or everyday or that Messiah is the actual Sabbath. Which one of these theories is right? They cannot all be right, but this are the common responses. But when you read Exodus 20:8, there is more wrotten about it than any other commandment (except perhaps idolatry) and He makes it very clear its a day and its the seventh day and its for rest. So how do you answer Exodus 20:8 in your conscience as you read it? A) that was for Israel back then B) that was just to point us to the Messiah C) that doesn't apply any more as it was nailed to the cross D) all that mattets is that we love God and our neighbour, He doesn't care if we observe Sabbath. These are the common obejections. Which one do you choose, or maybe you have another? I will expand on this according to you answer (Yahweh willing). Love & Shalom
