Our sins have not and will not be forgiven unless we repent. Yes the price have been paid for our sins with Jesus ransom, however its not automatic.

Well I think the authority on this is God himself. Based on the bible, drunkenness' is a sin. 1 Corinthians 6:9,10. Also it doesn't make sense for "future" sins to be forgiven. God only forgives if one is repentant and stops the sin. Therefore it takes time to show one is repentant.

I think any bible we use will basically lead you to Almighty God's intent, even with the seemingly slight errors

I have mixed thoughts because we are all born in the flesh. However as Christians we are taught not to live for the flesh. Galations 5:19-23,25. We are urged to put away works of the flesh.

Yup that would be wrong. God is not responsible. God created ALL creation with free will. Satan "chose" wrong therefore not Gods fault. Deuteronomy 32:4 = Everything God does is perfect!

Don't think Jesus cut off his family, think he was hopeful that would change. Remember Jesus could read hearts and in fact his family did eventually accept him. We must always obey God before anyone including our parents. If that mean telling the truth, so be it.

Don't think Jesus wants to be worshiped at all. Think all worship should be directed to the father, through Jesus.

I think a key to identifying who this 7th head of the beast is. We have to identify who the 5 that have fallen is? They had fallen prior to Johns day when he recorded the statement. Who were they? and History must bear it out!

Well God has not changed, though his way of dealing with humans have. The Godly principles are timeless. I feel one should dress in a way that befits Godly reverence.

I agree from my studies begotten means procreate or means one of a kind. So Jesus is one of a kind. Therefore could Jesus be Almighty God?

Hmmm I must disagree..God is from everlasting to everlasting and cannot die..Therefore Jesus is not Almighty God. Jesus has been and will always be subjected/submissive to the Father.

Well, I feel the ultimate question is would Jesus celebrate Halloween? Both the ancient and modern customs show the celebrations is based on falsehoods about the dead, spirits or demons. Recall the Bible warns: “There must never be anyone among you who . . . consults ghosts or spirits, or calls up the dead.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Jostler, Well, I don't think that comment harmonizes with scripture. The words says flesh and blood can't enter heaven. Also Jesus states his Kingdom was NO part of this world. Also he is to be King forever and ever with his Father.

Personification is a figure of speech. Much of the bible is written as such as well as figurative speech like most of Revelations. Therefore I don't think we should view Jesus as anything but a spiritual person. The Son of God!

Hmm I'm thinking and trying to follow the line of thought that Truth is a Person. It fails me, however the bible often uses a figure of speech (personification) where it often refers to a thing as if it is a person to drive home a point. Therefore I can see this line of thinking that way, but not in actuality. I view truth as the actual state of a matter, an reality or something that can be verified.

Also, on Job's wife. We forget that Job's wife lost 10 children also and lost her economic standing etc. And to see her husband go through all the pain physically that he had to endure she surely was depressed.

Agree with Royal Neighbor, I view Job as a real person. Recall James 5:11 even mentions Job as one to imitate his endurance. Endurance is such a need quality for Christians more than ever today in this troubled world.

I think we should love our birthday day and look forward to it each year otherwise we will cease to be here. However celebrating ones birthday day I too agree with JW’s. Only 2 mentioned in the Bible and horrible things happen. Don’t think that was a coincidence that those 2 are in the Word.
