Sovereignty Studies & The King Of The Jews
In the Clouds replied to Michael37's topic in Ministry Notes
God the Creator, the one who breathed life into us, gave us to Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. Yes, Jesus is our king and Lord of Lords! Don't forget that God is Creator and an all consuming fire. We have blessings and grace. We also have responsibilities and devotions. I believe as a Trinitarian. It's not a simplistic comment. This is a most interesting study! Thank you. -
Light discussion? What could be more powerful than communication with our Lord? Not criticizing your answer. We have personal plans through Him. I will say that prayer warriors are anything but light weight

Where to invest for retirement
In the Clouds replied to warrior12's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
I invested my small inheritance with a financial advisor. And then came Bush the younger and Obama in 2008 that some companies were too big to fail. Well, that led to my investments being absconded and then moving to China. That was GM. I never recovered my retirement savings from that loss. My life lesson was a harsh disaster on my comfort level in retirement today. But, some still have hope that the gamble of investing in the stock market will pay enough to make life comfy cozy in later years. What has worked for me and what I suggest is investing in real estate. The world is getting smaller if you know what I mean about the population increasing and the need and use of natural resources. What is the most important natural resource that you want to see thrive, sustain, and protect? And, what is your sense of duty for helping others in shelter and helps? That was my measure of investment and responsibility. You can forward both with your decisions. Blessings to others and blessings for yourself. It's been good for me and mine. Ultimately you seek a responsible way to live your golden years. The choice is yours. -
Are you are part of the prayer team? When you pray for others amazing things happen: a deeper relation with God and a blessing for those in need.

Chirpy, please don.t be discouraged. My main focus here is prayer and lifting others up. Blessings to you. We can share prayer. Some pray forward but don't announce it publicly. Maybe we should for encouragement.

My great grandfather of generations ago was martyred during the reformation. I cry for his brutal execution; but, I thank him and the strong faithful after him who gave me my foundation in Jesus Christ. I thank God that these were the ones who gave me life and a belief in God. I know in my knower from before my birth and as I live now.

In being reactionary or passive, my emotional self wishes that more people would understand that kindness is not weakness. Sometimes it's hard to know where that red line is. Think about when Moses went up on the mount and received the ten commandments. He came back and saw the golden calf being worshipped and got furious. And then, think about when Moses angrily struck the rock and was banned from the Promise Land. So many lessons here. I pray for discernment and patience; but, it's not always easy. Is there forgiveness when we react in the wrong way eventhough it seems justified? Do we receive blessings when we do not act in the flesh? Open my eyes and my heart, Lord.

When is anger righteous and when is it sin? There is so much anger in the world. I am seeking Biblical answers to this question, please. Righteous anger is acceptable like when Jesus turned the tables over at the temple. But, we see those scriptures that tell us to turn the other cheek and not seek vengeance. When should we be meek and when should we retaliate or fight?

As long as both pens worked, it doesn't matter which is taken. They are just tools to get the job done.

People are afraid. They/We all fear and have uncertainties that we are never better than filthy rags and will go through the tribulation. There is only one perfect man and we are not Him. But, the Bible does tell us that there are remedies to cure our ill begotten ways and being cursed humans by the original sin. I accept Jesus as Saviour and the Bible as Truth. I do not know the timing of the rapture or tribulation. I just accept that they will happen as we are told. Will I be a part of either or both? I pray for the best of course. If the Lord has plans for me either way I trust Him and His plan.

Update On Human Microchip Implants
In the Clouds replied to Michael37's topic in Global Developments
The precursors are already present: facial recognition devices and finger printing data bases. If it is a chip or some other borg implement watch out during electrical or lightning storms. -
Prayer brings blessed reassurance that the Lord is always present and He hears me, really hears me and my petitions and Thanksgiving. It makes for a contentment of resting in the Spirit/spirit. Praying for others is very healing and an act of love. Love God, love others.

Specifically the Sanhedrin and specifically Caiaphus. Many Jews became Christians. They were not the envious ones. Many gentiles became Christians, too. But, even today many Jews think of themselves as being the only chosen of God. They were the first chosen children of God; but, by God's grace all can be saved through Jesus Christ.

I apologize for the mix up.

Why do you call yourself Biblican? Some of the statements you have made are secular not Biblical. Palestinians are not Philistines. They have a different genetic make-up and come from other parts of the ME. I'd like to know if you think Palestinians should be witnessed to also. God wishes that NONE should be lost. Remember EVERY knee will bow and tongue shall confess. The Bible, The Word, says nothing about everyone should go along to get along. It says that everyone should be circumcised of the heart putting the Lord as his/her first love. And no one comes to the Father except through Jesus.

I have a favorite Bible. It is worn and falling apart. It was not expensive or well bound; but, it has lasted a long time and is dear to me. I have to be careful when holding it and turning the pages. The spine is broken and the pages are brittle. I love it and it has brought love to me.

Elisabeth Elliott's Through the Gates of Splendor is an inspiring book about her missionary husband, Pastor Jim Elliott, and 3 fellow missionaries who went to Ecuador to spread the Gospel but were killed by a native tribe after they landed. Her book details his mission and her continuance of his mission after his death. She and her young daughter actually lived with the tribe who killed Jim and successfully taught the Waoranis. After she returned home, she continued to teach and witness through writings and radio programs which are still available.

Gladys Aylward is a heroine of mine, too. I hadn't heard of her before watching Inn of the Sixth Happiness portrayed by Ingrid Bergman. She was an amazing Christian woman who heeded her calling through adversities, life threatening perils, and spreading the Word, bless her. She saved many lives both physically and spiritually.

WAR news: Middle East, Ukraine, else where
In the Clouds replied to chirpy's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Good idea, Chirpy. If I understand correctly, your intention for this thread is just for news items, right? If so, may I suggest that you set some ground rules such as: news items only, no opinions please. -
Numbers 6:24-26 King James Version 24 The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

People are leaving the USA
In the Clouds replied to missmuffet's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
Americans are still known as The Ugly American in some countries. Whenever I travelled to other countries and was asked where I was from, I told them that I was from Texas. People I met were much friendlier after that. Texas and the wild west are romanticized almost everywhere. But now, who knows what the reception would be like. -
