  1. I struggle with my attitude towards antagonistic non-believers mightily.
  2. As long as repentance is ongoing, God will forgive. How many times are we told to forgive when Jesus is asked? To be playing a money game and not believing is a whole different story. A good carnal life to be had by duping Christians.
  3. Yes, Psalm 2 is a prime example.
  4. There are men like Ravi Zacherius, (sp), who lived a double life. I don't believe he ever believed in the power of a living God as described in the bible. How many knew of his shenanigans yet never alerted the sheep that were tithing to Ravi?
  5. I suppose it does depend on the State. I imagine Pennsylvania is strict too, for places like Gettysburg. Here in Virginia there is so much iron ore in the ground that a specific type of coil is needed to overcome the false readings obtained from the iron. Does seem like a lot of fun under the right circumstances!
  6. I once considered getting into metal detecting but reading how permission is always required, even on many public lands and if anything of value is found it belongs to the State, if on public lands, it just turned me off to it.
  7. I departed from Christianity for perhaps 10 years, but I wasn't bitter or angry. Everything I touched turned to fecal matter and figured Christianity wasn't for me. I was lacking knowledge concerning hardships of being a baby Christian.
  8. As a second job when I was in my 20s I worked evenings at a dept. store assembling gas grills, bicycles and other things. One night I found what equaled 15 dollars on the floor in two different Aisles and brought it to the service desk in case anyone reported that they'd lost some money. Days later I heard that the two women working the service desk at pocketed the money. Yes, I'm still naive. :) edit; spelin
  9. I firmly believe that if a person is obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of Jesus Christ, being a doer of the word, miracles will be a natural part of life. Not necessarily spectacular miracles, even though those can occur as well, but miracles of a personal type, in times of stress and in times of need, in as much as one isn't trying to put God to a test. Edit: Unexpected blessings can appear as miraculous.
  10. Job 13:12 (NKJV) Your platitudes are proverbs of ashes, Your defenses are defenses of clay.
  11. Decades ago a weathered 100 dollar bill was found on a sidewalk in early Spring. It also was spent in early Spring!
  12. Mat. 6:10 is part of the prayer outline Jesus taught His disciples, Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For this to happen, very difficult life events will have to transpire first, which will be very painful even for believers. The crumbling of our physical reality.
  13. Patriarchy! Patriarchy! Out with the old! In with the new and the young! Progress! Progress! We will succeed at utopia! We will rule over the masses with dignity, equity and inclusion! We demand it! We are on the right side of history! Bow to your masters and your betters! Our religion is by any means justifies! See, we are justified too!
  14. Where is the soapbox for the well groomed gentleman?
  15. A time of testing so that the individual can learn something about him/herself. Hopefully, not something ugly. No refunds on the tickets! :) Not transferable!
  16. We all have front row seats without purchasing a ticket!
  17. I have the sense you are seeking ways to justify your unbelief. I am saddened by your choice. Are you familiar with Hebrews 11? Often called the faith chapter.
  18. Prophecy fulfilled is the proof of the existence of God. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies of the O.T. You do not find the mere state of humanity a proof of good and evil? Of prophesied wickedness? How about archeology? Edit: I've memorized the following from Voddie Baucham: I choose to believe the bible because it is a collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses who report supernatural events in the fulfillment of specific prophecies claiming that they were words of divine origin rather than human in origin.
  19. 1Cor. 1:26-28 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, Patience is helpful in waiting for answers. God's timetable never matches up with anybody's. Trust through trials deepens faith and answered prayers do the same. For prayers to be heard, obedience is required and this may look different from one person to the next. How has the Holy Spirit burdened you so that you can show obedience through action and have your prayers answered and gain confidence that God hears you? Edit: James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
  20. There will be a change within two years on how business is conducted according to Lena Petrova. Digital currency will be introduced soon within the banking community and the noose will tighten on financial control of each entity residing within any given country or region that deals with a digital currency. How soon before your dollars are converted to digital currency - meaning on a spreadsheet only, controlled by big brother? You can view her financial videos on YT or rumble. Edit: Lena Petrova also has good coverage of the farmers protest happening throughout Europe and how the State of Oregon is implementing similar policies.
  21. I've always been thought of as "out there".
  22. Esau was unwilling to repent, yet he desired the birthright which had already been handed to his brother due to Esau's action which had consequences. A root of bitterness is acquired through unrepentant sin. Forgiveness protects against a root of bitterness. Edit: All examples of falling short involve unrepentant sin.
  23. In my view a person cannot fall short of grace. Grace is something that is given by God to a believer, not something a believer can own and do with as one pleases. Where sin abounds, God grants more grace as long as one is willing to repent, per King David as an example. One does not fall short of grace but falls short of being willing to repent.
