  1. I just posted the knife throwing act....once it's approved, I can even put it here.
  2. This America's Got Talent act surprised everyone....this husband and wife start out like an opera act but soon change into the wife throwing knives at her husband!
  3. And what about that knife throwing act?! She even threw knives using her feet! And blindfolded, too!!
  4. Yes, such a pretty dog and so devoted to the young man! And to hear the guy was afraid of dogs until 14 years old, when his family got Falco.
  5. That is fascinating. May I ask which countries you lived in? Was the reason you lived abroad connected to your work? Which of those countries did you like the best?
  6. Pete, what part of Mexico did you visit? Also, how did you find Haiti to be? Did you visit before the huge earthquake? We have alot of Hispanics here so I have gotten used to the culture....crafts, music and the ethnic dancing with colorful dresses and costumes. Of course, the food. Where Los Angeles was founded is an interesting place, Olvera Street. Like an old Mexican marketplace, crafts and little Mexican cafes. Mostly in the Summers, there are the ethnic dancers on the Plaza. But Mexican musicians stroll the street singing and playing instruments year round.
  7. Are those the coffee beans that some little critter poops out? I've heard of those and I think they are expensive!
  8. The Wallendas have been a famous circus act since 1922. So for those born into that family, walking a tight rope is like second nature to them. If an ordinary person suddenly decides to train and walk a tight rope, it probably isn't wise though!
  9. Apparently he has been on the professional music scene since 2012. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_McReynolds I just looked up Sunday Best and it will be on BET....cable channel. This Sunday at 8p.m. I don't have cable. Maybe some of the contestants will be on YouTube.
  10. Not traveling lately, care for my elderly mother. But here's a thread I started before.... https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/224430-travel/
  11. Yes, it's wonderful when people are kind and try to help injured wildlife. Once when we had a very windy day in Los Angeles, I saw an unusual big bird on the ground, flapping around, tossed by the wind....one wing was injured. I called animal control. He said it was a Red Tail Hawk!! He was going to take it to the veterinarian for treatment. Even when we get bears roaming around the trash cans in neighborhoods, they usually let them alone to wander back into the mountains. If for some reason they need to remove the bear, they tranquilize it. Then they drive it far up into the mountains!
  12. Listening to our local news now and I started to hear a worship song! So I looked up and they had Jonathan McReynolds on as a guest. He is going to have a singing talent show for Gospel singers called Sunday Best. Starts this Sunday....not sure what channel it's on. He was openly talking about faith in the interview with our anchors. Seems like a really nice Christian, young man. Does anyone know about him? I don't keep up with the young singers. He also wrote a book.
  13. Yes, and during their act, too....while on the wire, they were praying, singing, talking of God's promises. I don't like heights, like being on top of a high rise. In a airplane I'm ok.
  14. Yes, they are a famous, old time circus act.... famous for their huge pyramid of family members on the tight rope or high wire. They had other major falls, someone died, too.
  15. I watched it live.... when the Wallenda family pyramid had a major fall in 2017, the sister was very severely injured. She suffered from PTSD over that. Last night both brother and sister were on the high wire approaching each other from opposite ends. It took the brother about 30 minutes to complete the walk, and the sister took 35 minutes. They had prayer before the act with a pastor. During the act, brother and sister were praying, singing and praising God outloud as they walked the wire 25 stories above Times Square!! The wire is only as wide as a bottle cap....3/4 inches wide!!
  16. Yes, that does show the confusion and deception that poor man is under. That he doesn't realize that Christ is the Son of God, and that Christ Himself spoke of God the Father. If one says they believe in Christ, we should then believe what He says.
  17. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me, you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:24
  18. Would love to see some photos, ayin Jade! I grew to love the cactus and desert landscaping after trips to see some family in the desert. If only those Summers weren't so hot....not driving now so would be hard for me to get around in desert heat.
  19. LadyKay, God even hears us when we don't have any words to pray....the Holy Spirit makes our needs known. So please don't think that God isn't hearing you. As AnOrangeCat has said, we all sometimes go through dry times...just keep trusting in the Lord day by day.
  20. Here are the 3 brief videos of the cats....
  21. Yes, those cats were really amazing! I posted their videos here at Worthy.
  22. The following article is more interesting and informative! It also mentions them saving a rat previously...took 7 fire fighters to do it!! https://nypost.com/2019/06/21/firefighters-rescue-squirrel-stuck-in-manhole-months-after-saving-rat/amp/
  23. Here in L.A. the firemen often rescue animals. Recently they got some little ducklings out of a sewer drain....they fell through the grate.
  24. Glad there are so many kind, animal lovers around the world! This rescue happened in Germany. The squirrel looks so very cute with his little face sticking out of the manhole cover. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/red-squirrel-manhole-cover-rescued-firefighters-dortmund-germany-a8968871.html?amp
  25. I think most are good churches. I also like a Presbyterian Church if it's the conservative branch....I think that is the PCA.
