Dear Michael I am sorry that my post to Socrates4 ruffled your feathers that was not my intention. I have no problems with your beliefs as far as the Eucharist is concerned.In my post I stated they were not mine. I no longer walk in the tradition of the Catholic Church,that does not mean it it wrong for someone else,just not me. I don't need to dig futher or research more on the validity of Eucharist because my heart does not accuse me. I was only explaining to Socrates what I thought was the difference between the two different Traditions. If you want to e-mail me I think we can do this throuogh this board. my friends I still not sure about a pre trib rapture and I am still looking into that,I was taught it,but after reading some of the posts on here I am now not sure. I was taught that my sins were paid for by Jesus at the cross, the way I look at it is this since Iwas alredy deaed in my sin and tresspasses, then spiritually when the Holy spirit of God convicted me of my sin and of my need for Jesus and by His Grace I accepeted Him as my Lord and Saviour then I was made new, so my sins were judged then. I believe will be a the Judgement Seat of Christ for what ever works I have done since then not for my salvation but for any rewards should I get any. Love in Christ littlejoe

Dear Socrates4Jesus.. My friend to me you seem to be mixing things up a bit. You write of the Catholic Church and then write the difference between the way the Protestant Churches view the different practices about The Lord's Table. Surely you know all The different Churches have differnt doctrines. I have many brothers and sisters in Christ in both Traditions. I can't qoute you bible verses for you,I will leave that for others who are more equiped to do that. I will however give my thoughts on what you are asking. I believe Jesus was speaking of spiritual things when he said this. I don't believe that the bread and wine actually become the Body and Blood when the priest says this at a mass. I believe the communion is meant to remind us. I am not sure where in the bible this is but as often as you do this you do it memory of me until I come. I am not knocking the catholics here many of my family practice that religion. I don't practice any religion. By the Grace of God I walk in the Faith of God and The Freedom of Christ Jesus my Lord. The bible says Jesus was only sacrificed once. I believe the members of the catholic church believe He is sacrificed at the mass each time communion is given. I am willing to be corrected if am wrong. There is nothing I can do to earn heaven I never deserved it nor can I earn it. If you fell you want to join the catholic church then do so. May I suggest that you place your faith in Jesus alone not in any church you may wish to belong to. Love in Christ littlejoe

I don't think the Congreesmen or the Senate would like this idea,but I think it would change some things that are happening now. They could pass a law that 20% of all the oil exported from the US. be marked for use in the US only. That would help lower our use of imported oil,and may even take care of the petroleum speculation. Love in Christ littlejoe

This site was the first one I found. I had a friend on this site direct me to another. Then a new found friend directed me to Prophecy Talk.com. I like that one also. There is a lot to read and learn. My new found friend directed to The blue letter bible site. where there is a lot of good stuff on there. Study tools is really cool. I like this site because I can place my thoughts on here in without being an English major and nobody jumps all over me,also because if I don't qoute scripture people don't get upset. I can ask questions sometimes not as clear to those who are reading my post as they are to me but I usually get an answer that I can understand. I have been spending most of my time on PT.com. My dad called me sonny and so did the rest of my family. Some of my friends called me that also. Since my christian name is Joseph I got use to using both names. The hard part for me is remembering who knows me as sonny so I can answer them when they are talking to me or are calling me. I have a cousin who worked with me and would only use my Christian name in work otherwise he would call me sonny. Talk about trying to keep that straight. Lord help me. Love in Christ littlejoe

Hello Hurting Ihope you get to read this I have been on another Christian site so I haven't posted on this one for awhile. My friend as far as I am concerned there is only one dumb question that is the one that is never asked. I don't use chat as my typing is a poke and peck method and I can't keep up. Also my spelling leaves a lot to be desired and this way I can correct it when I see it is wrong. Please don't leave this forum. There are many here who can answer your questions in a loving way and help you in your walk of faith as you search for the truth. You can always sign in and read the different answers to posts that you may also have a question about without replying. You need only to reply to those you wish. My friends we seem to have a tendency to label ourselfs. In my opion that really makes makes things hard for all who believe. I think I understand the reason for it, but for me it doesn"t make it any easier for us to accept eachother in the love of God we share. The only label I will accept for myself is I am by the Grace of God a saved sinner. With that I may also say because of what Jesus has done for me I am now an adopted child of God. We have many different Traditions in The Christian Faith. I like to remind all who read this that although we do not all agree with the different Traditions we need to be careful how we look upon the people within those who do not share the same church pew we do. For our Great God is no respector of persons be they high or low He will saved people from all walks of life. I have seen Christians look down upon other followers of Christ because they were not from the same church. For me that is not Cool. If I believe my brother and sister in Christ is in error then I try to help them. Not Judge them because the Church they worship in is not the same as mine. Love in Christ littlejoe

My friend it depends on your heart, I see a beautiful messeage there. Whether or not you you choose to call it a Christian song is up to you. The fact that it is played at Christmas for me is not the point, Listen to the words and let your heart guide you. Love in Christ littlejoe

My friends on another board I made the statement that I didn't believe the promises made to the Jewish people and the Church the same. that is to say I think some Christians believe that The Church has taken the promises as its own, not sure if I am making myself clear. I believe The Church and The Jewish People are not the same. If you think I am in error please tell me why. If you believe I have this right please help by giving me information that I may read so that I can better explain what I believe. Love in Christ littlejoe

Thanks for your replys and also the correction,I guess I have a wierd way of thinking,these thoughts came as a result of reading some other posts from another Christian site. I guess you could say the mind running in high gear,these are only my thoughts and may be corrected if I am to far off base. I have been thinking about the end times,and I see three groups of people The Church, the Gentile sheep nations and The Jewish People I was thinking since The Church was formed at Pentecost and will be completed with The Return of Lord,do think The Old Testament Saints or The New Testament Saints who come out of The Tribulation period are The Church ?

My friends I believe in the pre-trib rapture my reasons for this are stated in the post about rapture pages 1-19. If what I was taught was correct then the questons I had to ask myself were answered in the affirmative Then I still may keep this belief in my heart, no harm no foul. So far I haven't seen anything to change my mind. Anyone on this board is most welcome to correct me, I shall listen but be prepared for more comments and questions. And may we by the Grace of God make our questions and comments to each other in the Love of God we share. We come from many walks of life and many different churches and so our thoughts are influnced by what we have been taught. Please I shall try not to make general statements or pronouncements when they may in fact not be what each of us believe. My friends I have read all the posts in this forum on the rapture1-19. Some that have been on here before. I like to give you my point of view,and as always I will state that you need not believe it, it is what I believe and I will give my reasons for it. First allow me to state this By the Grace of God I am a born again adopted child of God. In the year 1979 I was convicted of my sin and of my need for the Lord Jesus Christ. Prior to 1979 I considered myself a Christian as did many people who knew me. I had known all about Jesus because I was taught about Him.Therefore I consider myself a Christian but, and this is a big but that was all head knowledge not heart knowledge. I had place my faith in my church first,then Jesus. In 1979 I was given my first bible by my brother in law. After reading the bible and an outline that was in it I saw how wrong I was. And I didn't do this without help from God. He wanted me to see how wrong I was and to correct that.With that being said I would like to share with you my beliefs about the rapure. And yes I know rapture can't be found in the bible, however "caught up" can be. We tend to use words and forget that if we don't understand that we are using different words for the same thing.We then make statements that may not be necessarily true.For example some will see the word rapture and the thread was talking about was pre-trib rapture and because they may not believe in pre-trib they only see the word rapture,and because they can't the word rapture they will state it is not bibical,and that can be hurtful. You need only to look at Eschatology and see many of us believe the church will be caught up(rapture) we just don't agree on the timing. But I think it is fair to say we all agree that it will be in God's perfect timing.Before I tell why I believe in the pre-trib rapture of the church and why I believe it. I like to to tell you two small stories they may help you to see where I am coming from; there is a glass and it has water in it,depending on your viewpoint the glass is either half full or half empty. both sides can defend their points of view rather heatedly if they so chose,when the truth is the glass has water in it. I know a man of science who once told me that he and his colleague could argue about the definition of black and white for hours. This always amazed me. Every child learns that white is the absence of colors and black is the presence of all colors. all you need do is start with a blank paper and some crayons using the lightest one first and then over the same line with the next crayon and so on till you have use all your colors the result will be back.This is not to say we may not disagree with eachother but please let's do so in the Love of God we share. Let's not get all hot under the collar if we can't see eye to eye on this. First off my belief in the pre-trib rapture of the church is not in any way contradicted by the Life Death and Resurrection ofmy Lord Jesus. We all know the reasons for it and the blessings we have because of them. There are some verses that I like tio put here that you can check out when you get time. 2Thess.2-9. I have been taught that these verses refer to the Holy Spirit.That He is the one that keeps the Antichrist from be revealved until the church is complete. Then He will be taken away.And thre will be nothing to prevent the Antichrist from doing his evil. I was also taught that once by the Grace of God I cinfessed my sin and need for The Lord Jesus Christ and asked Him into my life to be my Lord and Savior that I was saved and the Spirit of God dwelt in me. Now if The Holy Spirit is taken away, I had to ask myself this question what happens to me? Are people sugguesting that I am now left alone? For me the answer is no. The Lord Jesus said He would never leave me. I have also been taught that the tribulation is known as the time of Jacob's Trouble. the church is not Jacob. Jer.30:4-7. Ezek.20:34-38. Ezek 22:19-22. Mal.3:1-3. Zech.13:9 Dan.12:1. Until someone can tell me it is wring to believe in the pre-tri rapture,then I shall carry this in my heart for it will not hinder my walk in faith. But should someone show me with absolute certainty using scripture and not discounting the one above about the The Holy Spirit then I shall not carry it in my heart any longer for it would hinder my walk of faith. My dear friend I still keep the Ten Commandments. But I also know that I am under Grace. I don't keep the ten Commandments for my salvation,only to honor God. In my opion The law was not removed only made perfect through Jesus Christ. The Word of God is both the old and new testament. That is how I see scripture too. I do not see any scriptures that say the saints will leave this earth before, unless by death. For the Lord himself shall ldescend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air,, and so shall we ever be with the Lord Paul and Jesus agree Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken; And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all lthe tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other Matthew 24:29-31 Who are his elect??? His saints, the church who endured through the tribulation period. And Peter, in his reference to the Day of the Lord says: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10 This comes after the tribulation period, and is a part of God's wrath on the wicked unbelievers. This is what the saints who are alive and remain will be delivered from. Note: According to Scripture, the dead in Christ rise on the last day, and the catching away of the saints cannot happen before the dead in Christ rise first.

I agree with you. It's my belief. But don't forget that if there is no rapture and you find yourself in a troubling situation you never thought you'd be in, it will be much more dificult for you to go through it. My friends I took the test it was pretty funny for me. The people they asked about I had no idea who they were so I took the middle ground. I know we all use labels to see if we can fit people under that label with a certain set of beliefs. I hate labels. For me it is to general. Anyway I had to look up three of my top % to see what they meant. But it was fun to see the results. The only label i accept is that I am a saved sinner and an adopted child of God.
