Leonard, I think you speak unintentioned volumes about your own preconceptions when you automatically equate 'single mother' with 'kids born out of wedlock.' As Inj has said, this is most definitely not the case. Perhaps the reason she's having problems is that other people have jumped the gun in applying their own uninformed judgements, too. Amazing how often people will hear only part of a story and make assumptions about the rest. Even if the original point to Leonard's post may not have been pointed at the OP it still appeared to be, and it also appeared to be judgmental. Seems to me that a good lesson from this is to provide compassion first, and judgment later, after ALL the facts are presented.

The true intentions of the UN is there for all to see. They continously hinder and hamper any nation that is God fearing. Isreal and the US are standing on a small island with very few true allies when it comes to the UN and their true purpose. That purpose is not, contrary to popular belief, world peace.

I voted as "other" since I have several different versions on my laptop. I like to compare them to see where each is leading, and hopefully how they compliment each other.

I agree with you Sister! Unfortunately it is not just unbelivers, although they do 90% of the insulting. Seems that basic common curtesy has gone out the window in this "new, enlightened" age we live in. It is pretty bad when we have unbelivers with more rights to post what they want to say than the christians who this board is for. I am glad you said your piece here as I was going to keep silent and just walk away from worthy. There is a line of distinction between unbelivers who are here to discuss and listen to the word of God with the possibility of accepting, but those unbelivers who are on this board to disparage, insult, and critisize and are in no way open to hearing the Word of God really have too much leeway, and to a degree control of a "Christian" BB. If I am stepping on any toes here, forgive me, but thats really too bad. I dont care if I stepped on toes or not. There are many who are not interested in the Word, but in creating controversy only.

I agree yod. When the democrats can use haggling over the meaning of the word "is" to justify lying to a grand jury, which in the rule of law is "perjury" and then turn around and claim others are immoral for trying to protect the lives of everyone from terriorists, you can see that they are a morally bankrupt group of people. The concept of the constitution being a "living and breathing" document show how willing they are to pervert the only visible guarantee we have of our rights, and the limits of government over us. They use it to promote the false belief of "seperation of church and state" when the constitution only states that government cannot make legislation limiting our freedom of religion. The dems learned one thing really well when they were in power from the late 50's to early 90's. That being if they want to limit our rights and freedoms they need to do it slowly so as to not awaken the American public to their ultimate goal.

That's just horrible. I don't know how these people can live with themselves. I mean, what has the world come to when a terrorist can't even make a private phonecall. It truly is a shame. I feel just terrible!! No! Really! I do!

Seems to me that the original title holder to that land, being God, gave the Jews that land as their own. Seems to me that Peace now needs to do a full title search as to who owns that land.

I understand where you are coming from J.A. All types of music are not right for all types of people. The biggest part of praise within music is that it is part of you. If you are not moved by the music it is very hard to give praise, because it does become a distraction from God. The group I am in, for example, plays an entirly different style of music for church services than we will for a youth get together. Not that either one is right or wrong, but because it is the audience that we are playing for. Yes, we play for the glory of God, but it is so much better if the entire audience can join us in that praise.

Yes, satan is the father of lies and he will use truth just as often against God's children. Satan will wisper to us, lie to us, speak truth or do anything else he can to help drive us away from God's love and mercy. God might use ridicule to humble us, but I think more often than not it is used by satan to help with driving that first wedge between us and God. Thanks, Akabu. I had wondered on that one, mostly just after reading a fictional story where that happened to one character (though that wasn't what the whole story was about, it kind of came up once only) but it stuck with me, kind of an idea. I mean, what else would his demons be doing here anyway until the day of judgment? I had read too that some of the other things that can happen to us in life could become a wedge between us and God depending upon how we react to it, kind of like Floatingaxe was saying. That we shouldn't just ask "where are You God?" every time something bad happens to us as if He should be responsible for letting it happen. But the wedge part is more of a fearful thing to me, I wouldn't want anything that demons or just people do actually push me even farther away from God. I haven't heard anyone talk about this subject really, but I think that people who intentionally do harm to others, even if they think it's no big deal, should be held more accountable by Somebody. It can do more harm than they think, so how is it fair that something they do for fun or without much thought can be allowed to have so much impact in a person's life later? err, rambling, sorry. Thanks again though very much for that piece of understanding/advice. Well, Floatingaxe is very good at seeing into the heart of a matter and this time is no exception. I have had many days of asking God "Where were you when I was going through this?", but after stopping and thinking about it I decided to start asking "Why did I turn away from God and try to handle this myself?". He takes us as clay, mold us and makes us (an often painful process) and tries us in the fire which hardens our faith in Him. The end result will be a finished product that is worthy to worship Him for ever when we are with Him in heaven! It often makes me chuckle when I make a mental image of satan throwing a temper tantrum like a 4 year old when he loses and God wins! LOL, just a snicker to throw in here.

Unfortunately, due to the regulations that have been forced through every public school system in the USA by the teachers union it is almost impossible to fire a non performing teacher. If a teacher stays out of controversy the chances of getting the teacher fired is less than the chance of a camel going through the eye of a needle. This is the reason my sister no longer teaches, but homeschools. She left teaching because the most incompetant teachers are promoted to positions to make more stupid regulations that allow failing teachers to stay.

Sad that nobody was watching the child. But give the kid credit! He never gave up!

I have my personal KJV red letter, leather bound Bible. I also have the e-sword program on my laptop. I have KJV, NAS, Strong's, and a few other Bibles on my laptop now. I try out new ones every so often as well. Personally I like the e-sword computer Bible software since I can load many Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries and maps and have them all at hand. Gives me a chance to easily comare all of the versions. The comentaries are a blessing as well. Blessings

Fact is, an all volunteer force is more effective than a force pressed into action against their will. That is why our "All Volunteer" force is the best in the world.

I agree with you K.L. I sometimes feel that there are those on this board that profess to be christian but demand that we bow to the feeelings of thos who profess Not to be christians and also feel it is their right to tell us how bad we are. I am sorry, but God gave us laws and commandments. He gave us rules beyond the 10 commandments. He gave us charge to spread His word. To do anything less is contrary to His commands to us. If you do not like what God has to say, or if you feel attacked because we state that sin is sin then you need to deal with it. We should not, and I for one will not, change my beliefs or what I say to spare your feelings. I can show a reason for every one of my beliefs in the Bible. The object that I hold to be the Wod of God! I will not resort to name calling or childish arguements, but I WILL NEVER be disuaded from calling sin as such just to spare the feelings of a sinner.

Yes. That and the fact that it is near impossible to get some people out of their houses for anything except for work. It is no wonder that some people feel they have no freinds when the only time you see people is in a work environment. Sadly, I have left a couple of churches that were fairly good, growing in the Spirit, but they lacked any interaction outside of the services and a few prayer meetings. Of course, a lot of this is also a sign of our times, when just making ends meet for a family takes two paychecks and some overitme as well. The best time in my life has always been with a church that values and stresses "We" time over "Me" time. "We" time as in group activities, structured or spontaneous, centered around other christians both within our church congregation and outside.
