  1. My opinion is that it is your home and you have the right to set whatever boundaries that you want. I agree that you have to be careful that they are not just taking advantage of your generousity. If you feel uncomfortable about anything I think you have to wonder why. GBU

    fallen angels

So if satan is not here now where does this verse fit in may I ask??? 1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
  3. I always give a tithe of 10% off my wages then any offerings I give after that, which can be time, money or whatever I am able to give. I think everyone has to do what the have peace with its between them and God at the end of the day. GBU
  4. Sounds ok to me. Not too heavy and you laughed too. Hope you manage to keep in touch with your cousin.
  5. The best gift I can give Christ for christmas is my life truly surrendered to Him. I don't think there are very many lives truly surrendered to Him. I try very hard and He is my all and my everything I never want to be without Him in my life. He truly deserves more.

    oprah's Jesus

I am curious to your reference to the Alpha Course, it is run here in the uk and teaches all about the Jesus of the Bible our Jesus. about salvation etc etc etc. I do not think it is anything like the course that oprah is running.
  10. I agree it is so true. How can they not see.
  11. Hi, I find a lot of comfort in the 23rd psalm, hope you do to. Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Psa 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Blessings.
  12. I agree that obedience is a key thing. We are to obey God.
  13. This is so sad.
  14. These are some verses that I always find challenging, It is so easy to hear the word of God BUT not always so easy to put it into practice. Jas 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers of it, blinding yourselves with false ideas. Jas 1:23 Because if any man is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a glass; Jas 1:24 For after looking at himself he goes away, and in a short time he has no memory of what he was like. Jas 1:25 But he who goes on looking into the true law which makes him free, being not a hearer without memory but a doer putting it into effect, this man will have a blessing on his acts. What do you think???
  15. Hi Our clocks changed last weekend, so anyone from the uk don't change your clocks again okay.

  17. What was your name before you changed it to deep blue?????
  18. Carol, please dont say that we all need each other. It breaks my heart to hear this.. Didn't God put off the End Days for so long now because he wanted more people to be saved? We need to be like him! It just sounds like your brother is struggling with jealousy.. just pray that he will be released from it! Hi In answer I did say that I would like a relationship with my brother, I have had to learn to live without him in my life, there is a lot I didn't go into just now but some relationships are destructful. I keep praying for my brothers salvation. I would never reject him if he got in touch. I have tried many times over the years and have always ended up hurt I have walked away now because the Lord told me to leave it alone. Thank you for your concern.
  19. Hi keep praying for your sister. A very short story, I have a half brother whom I haven't seen since our parents died 16 years ago, I have tried contacting him etc but he wants nothing to do with me, why well I asked him one time, he said "It is all your fault you ruined my life you were born" I have forgiven him and continue to pray for him, whether we will ever be reconciled, I don't know, But God does and whether we are or not I tust God in it all, and will follow Him no matter what. At the end of the day all I need is God I dont need my brother but I would like a relationship with him. I hope this helps you. God Bless you.
  20. begs the question doesn't it... just how big were those jellies???? EXACTLY, Lady C. Those ten Jelly beans to be worth $2.00 had to weigh something like 5 OUNCES! I don't know what Albertsons is selling, but usually there are something like 300 Jelly beans to a pound (not that I've counted, but my wife just bought a few candy vending machines, and one is filled with three pounds of 'Gourmet' Jelly beans right now, so I am giving my best 'guess-timate'). Now there are 16 oz. in a lb., an ounce of Jelly beans contains something like 19 Jelly beans. So to be worth $2.00 that guy would have had to have eaten 95 of my jelly beans, not 10! Good heavens! Are Albertsons jelly beans the size of golf balls!??! Hee hee if so thats some mouth he's got
  21. Me too, I raise my hands and sometimes when I'm singing and worshipping God I close my eyes so there are no other distractions (not when driving..lol). At home sometimes at work too tho most know I am a christian we have had a few new starts and thay as yet don't know, I just wait for God to give me opportunities to share with them. Oh He is an awesome God.

    Christian Cults

Absolutely not. A church is either a part of the spirit and body of Christ or it is not. The word "cult" speaks of a "system of religious worship or ritual" and use to describe a group or some kind of church that is separated from the main stream and in this case the main stream is Christianity. If it is a cult it is not part of the spirit or the body of Christ and usually has false or way out in left field doctrinal teachings. An example would be if a church believed that if you don't believe like they do about Christ or if you don't belong to their church you are going to hell. I agree with you on this.
  23. Then again, Jesus did say "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations[...]" (Matt 28:19), so even if God doesn't strictly need your help, he has kinda asked for it in this regard, wouldn't you agree? Clearly, as a Christian you are called, to some degree, to spreading your faith. I know that for many hearing the personal testimony of how God has impacted someone's life can be very powerful (I've enjoyed some of the testimonies on this forum, actually). However, I also know that for others, the concept of God is about as meaningful as the concept of Santa, the Tooth Fairy, or Bertrand Russell's tea pot - so, when you encounter these people, do you make efforts to explain the reality of God to them? I always share what I know, and what God has done for me as well as sharing the gospel, I believe in the truth being told but part of that as I am sure you know is how you tell the truth. We are all called to share the gospel and I am always happy when opportunities arise. I love speaking to people from all around the world. Isn't the internet wonderful.
  24. That must be the one I was thinking of too, the size of a dinner plate and eats birds.
