  1. What immediately comes to mind is that we must continue in well doing and transforming by the renewing of our minds. We oughtn't to hope it'll all be over but rather yet rise to the high calling because faith will still please God even forever.
  2. Hi I'm not yet fulfilled in this as I'd like to be but the bible tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, so I felt it'd be good to get our fear and trembling dealt with in our morning prayertime so that there'd be none for the situations we have to face. This worked well in the past for me. Exercise helps too.
  3. I'd expect my wife to comit with me to discover together the life and liberty in God that overcomes the world.
  4. Hi It's true that it's only by faith that salvation is attained. The word says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The Word is so contrasting to the otherwise hopeless and confused state of the world that it challenges our everything, even inviting us to reason with it's higher logic if I may say that. True the SPirit would have to draw them and lead them into His own higher reasoning.
  5. The Holy Spirit is different from other spirits in the he has world overcoming victory that the others don't. God is the God of the living while other spirits might be of a lesser status normally associated with darkness. Even those that seem to compliment religion might be only religious spirits who've found context in a religious tradition of some sort, but fall short of the real thing as it needs that witness to be sound and to be vital. Else it would be less than eternal life that people would be experiencing. This is why it requires that certain revelation to set people genuinely free.

  9. Hi everybody I happened upon a very interesting videoclip regarding the location of The Garden of Eden being in Israel and it was most encourageing and seemed to add more consistency to prophetic development and I wondered if anyone else might be interested. The Living Waters of Eden
  10. This is strong but I agree with it, it would deter alot of occultic works that go on. There are cases when ppl are taunted even in the christian congregation by occutic persons and demons. That's too weak, they should fear to even dare. I remember when I used to approach christian meetings with Godly-fear because of the brokeness that alone could survive such a service. Nowadays I hear demonic activity among some congregations and I'm wondering what to do about it. There are people who treat christians like sport, even daring to venture into thier Godly devotion and worship and they should fear. We shouldn't have to heighten security for what they ought to know from simply the Godly witness in our environment and in the Spirit as well as what they should know as common decency for those yet to believe. I suppose the answer is that we keep on preaching the wisdom of God and the life of God until our communities and our world are irrecoverably influenced and we need not fear because the only wise God is the only safety.
  11. I believe that christians should go to church because only christians share a certain biblical worldview and are able to minister to other christians effectively.
  12. it was not about how many times he struck the rock... 2 Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron. 3 They quarreled with Moses and said, "If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the LORD! 4 Why did you bring the LORD's community into this desert, that we and our livestock should die here? 5 Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!" 6 Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them. 7 The LORD said to Moses, 8 "Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink." 9 So Moses took the staff from the LORD's presence, just as he commanded him. 10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, "Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?" 11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. 12 But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them." 13 These were the waters of Meribah, [a] where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD and where he showed himself holy among them. Moses directly and deliberately disobeyed God. He also took credit for what God did. God was trying to teach his chosen people to follow and obey him, he could not ignore what Moses did. Thanks I was thinking about something else? You prevented a potential heresy lol.
  13. What was the significance of Moses being denied for striking the rock twice rather than once?
  14. I read the below verse in my daily devotion earlier which says: Jeramiah 33 19The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying, 20Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; 21then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. and also: 25Thus says Yahweh: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; 26then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob ..and I was wondering how to reconcile it with the revelation scripture which says: Revelation 21 23And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb. 24And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it.
  15. Hi Significantly the Father-Son relationship is a necessary thing for clarification where youths haven't known their place, sadly also some parents have haven't known where to find the authority thats thiers either for want of Biblical understanding. Where else would you find this? The Royal family is meant to be something like this where family heirarchy is realised though ideally inspired by Biblical Godly wisdom. This type of honor and other matters of similar subtlety is established in the Father -Son relationship with the perfect obedience also manifested.
  16. Thank you for the above responses. I am familiar with Joel Goldsmith and I've read "the infinite way" in my times of researching and it was quite interesting. It's really an area that I believe needs some illumination and is a more profound issue than is realised. It has seemed to have been hidden territory though deeply in need of light as alot of alternative doctrine and teachings fester there including much of the occult. I haven't consciously experienced the effects but I do percieve how it would affect my faith were I to entertain it to the unwise degree. I get annoyed by certain unsaved friends who through certain malpractices regarding the above make claims of sameness among people and try to devalue to honor of men, dignities and God. The "I" seems to have become their God and I disagree that it should be so it would more be the world and the natural that they tap into, and possibly the company of the dead and darkness. The company of light are different, these are significantly Christian, distictly set apart from all other. The main reason Iam concerned is that I think it's affecting alot of the youth, who may need to get a revelation of the contrast that the Gospel presents.
  17. Very neatly and directly expressed. It reminded me that God's plan is still what will be called Truth despite mistakes such as was made of Abraham. I'd been struggling with an undue acknowledgement of Islam because of the prophecy given about Ishmael but based on what was written above, that is demonic doctrine type material and inconsistent with the substance of hope that presents us with a future and a prospect. How do we account for Ishmael though, where do we place him with regard to prophecy? I always presumed it was Islam and I noticed that non-radical Islam seems to relate reasonably with Christians and Jews. How should we view this?
  18. This is a topic I'd be interested in hearing discussed. I don't know if any are familiar with what is called the mystical 'I" ? For some people it's their answer to salvation in that they find their refuge in the 'I' identity and I'm concerned if it isn't confusing some. I'd be interested in your hearing anyones thoughts on this comparable with Christianity. Some even have a strange doctrine which includes such which I find awkward. Has anyone else encountered this?
  19. With me it's nothing I can prove but I hear echos of irrational hatred and it's not pleasant.
  20. 12For it was not an enemy who insulted me, Then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, Then I would have hid myself from him. 13But it was you, a man like me, My companion, and my familiar friend. 14We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God
  21. I was earlier considering the Israel restoration situation and how that much of the offense caused thereby is that these hardcore business-minded people and governments are being force to acknowledge "Bible stories". I think this is what irks many anti-semetic and anti-christian people and was my annoyance before comeing to faith in Christ. It is however the foolishness, if I may, that brings to nought the mighty and it is and to be the direction of justice and profound healing that was promised in the prophetic writings and the darkness does not at present comprehend it. So may we be encouraged to endure in the faith and in the support of Israel.
  22. Hi, There's something about this that shows the passion in faith that wants others to know the glory that is so within reach if they'd only believe. In this case it was Paul's love for the Jews, in the case of the OP it's the sister's love for her husband. People though are saved by grace through "their own personal" faith. This is important because it's one's own faith that is to choose Christ, the living Word in every adverse situation and demand deliverance thereby. One must also have a revelation that Christ is enough and why. IMO when one is drawn by the Holy Spirit one is normally divinely educated of the completeness that is in Christ, so it's best we hope that for them rather than anything inferior. Lastly there is a verse in (Ps 49:7,8) that says "No man can by any means redeem his brother or give to God a ransom for him. For the redemption of his soul is costly and he should cease trying forever".
