I think what the OP may have been inquireing into to is,' What authoritative body may we refer to, to speak faithfully on behalf of the Christian faith, with its many denominations and their seemingly varied emphases?'. I'd been considering this also. I acknowledged that the church has been developing since the first century and this is reasonable, as the scripture tells us that God has placed ministries in the church to perfect the saints, which implies a gradual process and similarly an open condition where we are having truth revealed to us increasengly and contextualising all that we'd been taught. We are also told to expect knowledge to increase in the last days, some had attributed this to the world, though I believe significantly in the Church this will be more the case as the absolute necessity of the Church is realised in it all. There are other developments that will occur related with with commitment, where 'they who do the will of the Father will KNOW the doctrine whereof Jesus spake', and that relative to these knowledge-will-increase-days in which we live and may have yet to experience. Alot of things are justified when through persecution the believer finds themselves covered by the Word in peculiar territory that only trial can cause them to visit, personally and otherwise confirming doctrine. So only to say that even though all we need are revealed in the Word, there is yet a pioneering in the bounds of God's grace where many denominations may be justified of their emphases which were previously not appreciated. Many ministries have their statements of faith frontal to their ministry which will let us know generally if they are agreed with the standard Christian creeds, and there are organisations that speak for the 'creed-agreed' denominations on national and international levels, who address politics and the media duely. As for names I am not familiar with all of them though I am sure one could find out and be informed of their vision for satifying some of the inquiries expressed in the OP.

Why is this never discussed by Bible expositors?

ImO the death of Jesus broke the spell of death off of these sleeping saints. C.S.Lewis portrarys a similarity in his book "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe", where the sacrifice of Aslan broke the spell of winter off of Narnia, freeing many of the good characters who had been frozen statutes. IMO the Word of this Liberty (in the Gospel) needs to reach some today, who may had fought bravely awaiting the ammunition of the further revelation we enjoy today. How it works out, we should trust God to reveal. -
That God doen't like appearances of righteousness with no substance.

Imo it's because trends were out-of-order and the same adversity might be experienced by present-day Spirit-led christians. Men are called from even our natural security to live by faith and to be ministers of reconciliation, part of which means declareing the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers, that they should know to raise valleys and abase mountains for Christ and His saints duely. It may sound extreme but we need to redeem things unto life which would otherwise by default resort to ticking to the law of sin and death. The clearing of the temple for example as mentioned, even the 39 lashes and the cross were examples of the natural knowing not what they do.

Could the 5 unprepared be within the church that Jesus calls Lukewarm, while the other prepared 5 were in the church on fire for Him? That was simple and interesting. I was recently recieveing it as an instruction not to allow ourselve to get raw and coarse and infertile and desolate. We must continue in valueing the Spirit in our lives above all else.

All my best conversation has been church related, everything else has been tediously empty. Things of church can always improve, and at least one is in the right place. Some countries can't even gather as we can for fear of imprisonment, and they don't have the luxury of opportunities we take for granted. Just think what a joy it is for them to meet another believer in this peculiar faith we share amid the spiritual darkness of their nation. There are also the missionaries God bless who do so much thankless service unto the Lord. These things have recently inspired me.

I sometimes look around on a sunday morning and wonder where else could I peaceably be other than church? Some I saw spend time in the pub, others play sports, other go sunday-shopping and others did other things. It all seemed so empty from my perspective knowing what the Word instructs regarding fellowship. IMO a healthy church life adds colour to our lifestyles through the joy and peace that right-standing with God gives us. It is however 'the kindness of God that leads men to repentance', so it is my hope and wish that men discover these god-recommended advantages for themselves, namely church involvement.

Maybe He Meant "Uncompromising Integrity" I meant that he refused to walk by sight but kept-on living by faith in order that the testimony would be consistant.

I Think This Could Be Referring To The Reactions We Often Show Toward News Pieces About Those Who Promise To Murder Israel? And I Think This Is A Call To Us To Pray For The Salvation Of Haters Rather That Just Venting Our Anger At Their Ungodliness? A Call To Post God's Message Just In Case Other Folk Visit Intending To Enjoy Any Distress We May Show? And I Think He May Be Calling For Us To Stand On God's Promise Of Vengeance? I Think? Yes things like that. To put it simply I was just noticing people who rather destroy than redeem and who give expression to jealousy and things like that instead of haveing a hope and a vision for situations.

I don't know the feelings of the victim helped by the Good Samaritan. They are not recorded. But I do know two things. One, that all experienced Christians know, is that often a good deed is twisted by the recipient and even resented by them. The other is that the selfless love of God that shines through us when we help a neighbour in need is passed on with no thought of a reward. It would be lovely to think that the victim of the Good Samaritan was grateful. He sure should have been. But like in real life, the thought that he owed everything to an enemy might have been too strong in his mind to appreciated the help he had been given. Like you say so intuitively and accurately,'only Calvary explains it' because the love that flows through us from God without any obligation or expectation of reward is inexplicable otherwise. If we scatter seed of this type of love, can must trust that according to the parable some may fall on good ground. I believe the parable of the sower is partially a principle that we can demand to see duely effected unto God's glory. Encouraged by this let's not grow weary in well doing.

Imo I think it's to do with the fact that thiers (spirits), is an insecure existance and they may be tormented by "life's faith" which expresses in everyday trivialities such as renovating, cleaning etc., being of a different nature and with different constraints. Some of the above posts were right to deny the matter substance for not being in the Bible. We sometime too much indulge in mystical curiosity which mayn't otherwise have been an issue.

The most important reason for attending church
psalmone replied to Ddavid from NC's topic in General Discussion
I chose "because God loves the Church", because I believe God especially loves them/us for the thankless service that they/we endure in, and for their/our loyalty to the glory of Jesus' love. If this is primarily esteemed the other options would be a joy. -
The victim helped of the Good Samaritan would have recovered unto a whole new world maybe where he'd have to account for this strange favour, and from so unexpected a place. Any former hatred would have been completely disarmed and his whole world view would have needed to change simply to honour this peculiar event. Man doesn't know what to do with that kind of thing, so selfless, where does it come from, and requireing no return? Only Calvary explains it.

I am not fully conversant with mormonism, but I am fully persuaded of the gospel. Mormonism seemed to answer some questions that people have that the Bible does't offer, then again so does the occult, but not all things are expedient. The Lord wants us to live by faith, and to "transform" as we grow in the knowledge of that unconditional love revealed in Jesus, and not be impatient and yield to the (quick and easy solutions), itching ears and the carnal mind might desire, or else we probably never understood. I understand the selection of our authorised writings are closely in regard of "the scarlet cord" esteeming blood sacrifice from Eden to Calvary, where the spirit the water and "the blood" bare witness of the highest state man has known, in JESUS CHRIST. While we live we're called to carry or cross and fellowship in His sufferings, and to not be enticed by another gospel. IMO because of the many alternative experiences mankind has had the priviledge to experience, some have forgotten the anchor that keeps the soul. The Word prophecies a great falling away in the end-times, I don't believe there's any other reference of faithfulness than Jesus' gospel.

Can you substantiate those claims? When I asked a Moslem I know what they do about people who aren't Moslems, he said they try to explain the truth (as they see it) to them and if they won't listen they pray for them. I take his word over hate-mongering until I have reason to doubt him. Also, look at the relative age of Christianity, and the relative age of Islam. They're at the stage now we were in the middle ages. Doesn't have anything to do with now, eh? At least consider what's said to you before you accuse me of something. What type of apt ministry might be raised up to properly communicate the wisdom of Gospel to muslims? If even the Jews who were acquainted with the Law of the Spirit of Life were hardened towards it, what may be appropriate for muslims? I understand that there was a barreness matter that occured from Hagar that seems to be affecting things even to the present day, and the matter of being seperated from the covenant of God's blessing. I was thinking what manner of revolution to the constitution of the individual that might need to take place, as the dawning of a whole new revelation impacts their lives. Even our bodily organs fulfill as we agree with God and sound doctrine, and heal, just think how different peoples bodily constitution are, just through not knowing these things which we are assured by.

I was led to notice the dead works that go on so much even among christians in the name of deliverence, where they stalk trivial issues which might correct anyway to the betterment of the individual concerned. I think this is because many just think it's only dust and occupy themselves in being agents of destruction. I think rather we are to redeen things unto Life rather than unto darkness, there is a difference. People from even other religions occupy themseles in this and would think that all religions are the same thereby, but they'd be wrong. This is why we Christians ought to build up ourselves in our most holy faith so that it's faith they encounter were these agent to come around, and to let them know to touch not the Lord's anointed. We are to be intercessors and not accusers according to the ministry of Jesus Christ, and to leave place for vengence. To Him who judges righteously.....

1000 shall fall at our side,10000 at our right hand but it shall not come nigh... The incorruptible seed is our defence, we shall not be moved. Do you believe this? I do.

Fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil

"they twist things to their own destruction". Lol, thats like another bible codes. Very clever. -
I hope this Emerging Church Movement is credible. Many developments of the Christian Faith get criticised so you can't always heed that and should check for yourself. I acknowledge those who stick with the Word preached uncompromisedly as in the Holiness movements and the like, where it was a 'no frills' process, persuaded that if your soul was being drawn of God that you'd have ears to hear and would be convicted of the word and respond. I wonder though if it isn't inspired of the Holy Spirit to make the approach to Christ easier for the youth's sake and those of alternative experiences that Christ 'might gain the more'. As I observe something needs to be done because godliness is more alive than this, and not only in appearance, but in genuine passion for the Jesus gospel and it's fruitfulness.

As Joe quotes; "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 When I feel fear and anger; there is no doubt it is NOT an angel around so I put my armor on and command it to leave. Then I ask myself what allowed it to come into my home or work. Is there something there that left an opening? Some type of sin or something similar? Repent! It might not always be you but something someone else did or brought in. You have to figure it out and play detective and pray upon it or you will be in spiritual warfare! Then again, when it's an angel or a saint; you will feel peace and joy (as it is from Heaven) and maybe you'll see a white light as I do sometimes or a white silhouette. Everyone is different on how they see or feel them but you will definitely know if you put your faith in God. And, if it is of the enemy; command it to leave in the name of Jesus; our Lord and Saviour! And trust me, they will!!! They are sooo sooo scared of Jesus!!! And if you still feel something not quite right, then ask God to send you some warrior angels to help assist you in making the stubborn ones leave. Just tell Jesus they are being stubborn and God WILL distribute his arm on your defense! Hope that helps some! In His Service, Chiquita Very encourageing. In the UK the police I think have a department they call "spooks", that may be a type of spiritual law enforcement. I was having trouble with stubborn spirits and I went to the police but they just referred me to a doctor (lol, such is our cross), so I went to the doctor and got prayed for at church. The thing about these things is christian oughtn't to be enticed into occultic warfare just because some deadbeat wants to mess them up. We should be able to make use of the equipped ministries and professional services. If my children were oppressed like that by any irresponsible or bully types I wouldn't want them venturing out into the darkness and jeopardise their christian oriention, which though it be foolishness to those who are perishing, is the power of God to them that believe. So I was led to remain in the light and deal with things so, I'm determined to experience the wisdom of God in the land of the living. Wishing you health and prosperity as your soul prospers.
