There are many reasons for God wanting to wipe out some people usually because they have constantly profaned His name, etc. Does your group have a problem with the flood also? or the fact that at the end of the age God is going to wipe out the wicked, at the end of the millennial reign also God will destroy those that will not bow their knee to Him. God is not one way in the OT and another way in the NT, God is the same from the beginning and forever so what you see in the OT is the same as the NT. He wants us to come into His family and those that do not are outside in the darkness we all get the same chances to follow Him after that its His right as Creator to do as He says He will. As Creator, God, Savior, King, and the list goes on, it is His rules, His way of life, and we are to walk in His ways those that refuse to do so are considered wicked, sinful or are considered lawless and those will remain outside and eventually burned up before the new is established. I just don't get valentines day, never have really and I am female! lol My husband and I have given valentines gifts/cards maybe twice in 25 years and thats my choice. I know thats not a popular opinion/attitude most woman want the flowers, candy or gifts I am pretty content that my husband comes home every night, works his rear off for us, and shows his love in all kinds of ways all the time. Every once in awhile my husband might send flowers or bring me some goodie and I love him more for that than I would if he was compelled to buy me something dictated by a day. Now the anniversary! I do like to go out to eat on that day! don't necessarily need a card or gift though. I know most woman think I am just weird.

Not only that OO but the winter grains have been either under water, burned up or lost in drought, couple with what you wrote food is going to be sky high. Even the UN is concerned that the food aide to all those needy countries will not be fulfulled due to all the weather related problems.

Its going to take some time to put things into motion and truly if they are putting the caliphate back together, which I think is the case, I would hazard the guess they have done most of the ground work. Since I believe this is the rebuilding of the last beast I would think that they will rile up hamas, hizbollah and the rest of the factions while they work to get things in order. Once they get things in order and no longer need 'the west' they will shake it all off and turn on the countries that gave them their power. Will any of the EU countries fall to islamism, it seems to be the goal I heard David Cameron declaring 'mulitculturalism' is a failure, seems he and many others throughout the EU have awakened a bit late to the game.

I find it ironic that the global unions came out a few day ago praising their Egyptian counterparts encouraging them to stay strong and that they the 'united global union' is behind them. Now we see the unions in Egypt shutting down busses, taxis etc. not that it probably wouldn't have happened but its too much of a 'coincidence' that suddenly after this he decides to step down. Its going to come as such a surprise to the world when islam shakes off the western ways of thinking and adopts sharia for all. Praying for all the people!

Hey OO, I have been busy lately so just saw this one, I don't think Isa. 19 has happened and all I have is opinions right now but I think if the brotherhood does get to running the country we may see it starting. Some say that because Egypt has already diverted the Nile and other waterways that they are starting to dry up in places. Personally I believe that most prophecies are dual in nature that even if there was a fulfillment or partial one that it will be seen again after all history repeats itself over and over again, kinda like God wondering if we will get it right this time around. Heres something to think about since God says that all things are declared from the beginning I would think we might see something in Ex. that could resemble what we might be seeing today so I read through chpt. 5-14 or so and in them we see the rising up of the Hebrews, heavily taxed and oppressed but then Moses comes and the plagues, just made me wonder about what could be on the horizon.

There is a disconnect from logic in that position. We don't need God's instruction anymore? If we don't need it then wouldn't it be erased instead of written on our heart? Rather it seems, you are making a leap from logic to assumption. OC has not said we dont need Gods law (love) but that the foreshadows of things to come are now no longer needed as reminders since Christ has now come and the Holy Spirit given to all who will believe. The Holy Spirit tells us when we are not being loving, and these instructions when recieved are now written on the heart. Does the person who obeys from the heart need laws and cerimonies to do what they already love to do? Agreed that love is the most important aspect of God and His ways. Yet what are you obeying from the heart and what is it that 'they already love to do'? most humans even with love in their hearts still do not know how to obey God or what they need to obey. Can you tell me about from Gods instructions we are to obey and love to obey? God gave instructions to us to learn to lead the good and righteous life we have in Him and it is those law or instructions that are being written on our hearts and the reason He uses the heart instead of following the 'laws written on stone' is that we are to give it to Him to mold into someone who can be His and used for His purposes. If His instructions are no longer needed we would be in the kingdom right now and so far what I see doesn't cut it. When will people realize Gods instructions are a set of rules that one must ritually follow, its not a list of 'you must do or else you burn in hell'. I personally need Gods instructions in my life, I need that leading of the Spirit daily I would be lost without God and His Spirit in my life, and that is why like David I call all of His Torah a delight and a lamp unto my feet.

Are you talking about the beasts of Rev. 17? and where in the world do you see a 'fourth manifestation of the church'? The beast of Rev. is the kingdoms that have come against and persecuted Israel, who have conquered Jerusalem and or the Israelites. The last beast mirrors the one that before it so we have Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Mede/Persia, Greece, Rome, Ottoman, and the last one mirrors the ottoman but is fueled by fanatical religious zealots.

Yes Beck does see whats been happening now for decades and finally coming to a head. The thing is I don't think Beck sees the prophecies in the way many of us might, islam as the beast and the 'west' as the woman riding it. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, and make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. The apostles were repeating and/or doing a midrash/commentary on Due. 6:5 and this verse follows the Shema, 'Hear O Israel Adonai our Elohim, Adonai is one: and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources..' It is a choice to love God and follow His ways the choice is either walking in His light or walking in the dark. And yes I do think we are to consciously learn of Him and His ways, when do so by learning of Him through His Torah or His instruction and when we put them into practice we learn to love in the ways He wants us to, to behave in the ways He wishes His children to behave in, without God and His instructions we are like leaves in the wind never knowing where we will fall but with Him we know just who we are and where we are going. I firmly believe that within all of Gods commandments we find all we need, what to eat, how to behave, what to do when someone even sues us even, I just have such a hard time understanding why people think His Torah was 'nailed to the cross' or even 'not for us today'. I'd be hard pressed to name anyone closer to the Lord than Abraham and Moses - and the first had to wait 25 years for the fulfillment of the Lord's promise to him of a son, while the second spent 40 years out in the backside of nowhere from the time he fled Egypt till the Lord spoke to him from the burning bush and sent him back there - and then a second 40 years leading the Lord's people round and round in the wilderness waiting for the unbelieving generation to die off. So I don't see that closeness to God automatically means quick answers to prayer. I agree with that, and Moses didn't get all his prayers answered either he didn't get to go into the promised land. God answers prayers as to how He sees fit, His will not ours and all that.

I attend a 'hebrewroots/messianic' congregations. I also see the Sabbath as a delight and His Torah as a lamp unto my feet. Its not just a rabbi that can see it all together like its that! This stuffs been going on forever! from all sides although I have to say theres less of it coming from the conservative side. The first time I heard something like this I was about 5 or so and it was from the union bosses at the picket lines in Garden Grove CA, I have heard it in all kinds of places, race rallies, races of mayors, people can be, and are, just mean spirited and cruel when they want their own ways. And its not just islam its all humans who are prone to say stupid, dumb and hateful things. As the time becomes shorter to His return this will just heat up more and more.

Just another reason obama went to Egypt to make his speech, I have no doubt obama isn't dumb and has carefully played out his part in the process. People see demonstrations against the state happening successfully in a neighbouring state and decide to do the same itself. Europe in 1848 and to a degree in 1989 are two examples. The article itself gives a reasonable analysis of the driving forces this and doesn't start indulging in fantasies about the return of the Caliphate. As to the new Ottoman stuff, well, Arabs and most others in the region have few happy folk memories of that. I believe that islam was the seventh beast, and since the last beast that rises is the last and eight beast is an image of the seventh and since I believe it was islam that received the deadly wound they are regrouping and with the help of the west islam thats exactly what is happening. Go and listen to the last few years of Armidenjhad, and others when they called for the caliphate, Iran thought they would set it all up in Iraq at one point, its not indulging fantasies but a reality that islam wants. I grew up with no instrutments and never could figure out why after all David played an instrument to God. I don't mind one bit if a church has instruments what I have a problem with is the rock concert some churches put on and call it worship service. But I also have a adversity to a song being played and the chorus song anywhere from 20-30 mins as I have seen some do. Songs are poems of the heart so why would anyone have a problem with anyone writing and singing a song they wrote to God is kinda a weird thought to me. I would think that if someone is writing songs and they want to sing it with the worship team or give it over to the team there should be no problems with that other than ego perhaps. I'm not sure about just anyone wanting to get up and sing the actual message may never be gotten to! I think there should be order to worship serivce and whoever leads it should be open to new songs, guest drummers or singers or maybe there could be another night of the week that others could get together and jam. I love the old hyms I grew up with them but really like a lot of the 'messianic' music after all if one cannot get their feet tapping and their heart abeating with Paul Wilburs 'Days of Elijah'! or Let the Worshippers Arise by Phillps, Craig and Dean I would have to wonder about them!

Do you think Wyatt was a scam artist? What about Richard Rives or the Caldwells? Wyatt made more than one ridiculous claim to be sure, he swears he found the ark with the mercy seat and tested the blood to find it was that of the Messiah, not sure how that can be. Theres another guy out there think he was stationed in Egypt but not from there who worked with the Wyatt and Rives I believe but also worked with the Caldwells even wrote a book on the subject I think. There was another independant 'find' of S&G some years back too but I'm not sure what they are wanting to gain by going under the water there? A bit off from S&G but Wyatt received his info on the true exodus from the Caldwells. Yes I think Ron was milking the gullible, probably basing his findings on half-truths and the tangled jungle of his own imagination. I don't know about the other people you mention Mizz, but there seem to be deceivers and hucksters at every level of christian endeavour...one has to be doubly careful in these times, not to believe every thing one hears, even with what seems like conclusive video footage. I think biblical archaeology is fascinating, and I would love to go on a sub under the Dead Sea. Richard Rives is the man who was with Ron Wyatt when they were kidnapped and trekked through Turkey and Lebanon before the got free, Rives book Too Long in the Sun is a good read, he has a new book out too just can't remember the name. Penny and Richard Caldwell are the ones who found the original exodus route, I believe it is with the evidence found beside no one wonders in the desert 40 years in the small area between Epypt and Canaan. The Caldwells were the ones to have given Wyatt where to look for the spokes and such things. If you haven't seen their research, books or vids you should really check them out. There is more than one independant research into the exodus and all point to the same truth. As for the ark or even the ark of the covenant I do not think they will be found and if so only when He returns and I have never seen any real credible evidence vid or otherwise discovering the ark. Wyatt was a lot of things namely a man I think he was a bit whacked in the head when he announced he identified the blood on the supposed lid of the ark as the Messiahs.
